How to teach English with videos
Following on from our first episode in this series ( • What's that sound? - H... , where we looked at playing only the sound of a video clip, today we’ll be looking at playing everything but the sound, which works with any video where there is a conversation between two or three people with some telling gestures, facial expressions, body language etc. We have included an idea of a competition in which students predict the actual events and some of the language in the video (using narrative tenses and reported speech) and then check each other’s work.
