Hi michael and maxhoh, It was just a joke. Henry Ford is alleged to have said Model T customers could have their car painted in any colour they liked as long as it was black. Theory was black paint dried faster, so Ford went 100 per cent that shade to speed up the production process. JC
Lamenting the lack of a telescoping steering wheel in such a cramped cabin? Other reviewers have made the same illogical complaint. Now if the wheel could be made to retract back toward the dash, now that would be useful. But I guess being able to steer with my nose would be quite a neat (though sometimes gooey ) trick.
The fact that many reviewers have noted this suggests that it’s not illogical. Now, for someone 5’7” like me, the distance is ideal. But apparently, some tall folks - who need to push the seat back as far as it can go - find the wheel a bit of a stretch when they do that.
Hi Nez, Understand where you're coming from on the storage space. But I don't think a digital speedo would dilute the purity of the car. Not sure if you're in Australia, but for the record, the focus on enforcement of speed limits by police and road safety administrators in this country means you're watching your speed constantly and you need an accurate read-out. Zooks would throw the balance out, it has close to Perfect weight distribution and bigger wheels means sprung weight is jeopardised. Keep it light and simple.
The so-called aero influence is a laughing joke isn't even noticable , looks like the BASE car strange very strange , where's the frigging fast and former Convict Lemans Wing .
CarsGuide you need to understand that I have a very low IQ ;) Honestly though it felt like you were reading stats instead of giving us your opinion. Sorry for being a little extreme there but it never really felt like a review. Prove me wrong next time and I promise I'll send praise. I would be awfull at your job so I know it is not easy.
I really do love the RF - as good as the MX-5 is on its own, this model really gives it an upscale polished appearance. Great video - thanks!
Thanks Mr. Mazda. JC
"and you can have the retractable roof panelling in any colour you like so long as its black" ??? so only black then?

I like the presenter. The way he talked showing his admiration to the car. Good job JC. Btw, may I know what your accent is?
Why do most people who drive convertibles have their windows up when they have their tops down ?
Hi HH, Mainly to reduce wind turbulence. Windows down is fine at lower speeds, but buffeting and noise can be tedious at higher speeds. JC
Lets Wait for 2.5L .. 🙏🙏
I'm in love !!
Very nice

I find it absolutely stupid when anyone complaints about a storage space or a lack of digital speedo in a pure sports car like Miata MX-5. Stupid.

liked as he said wind in the hair experince :D
nice video overall
Thanks, AG. Appreciate the feedback. JC
"Lightest" can also translate to more crushable. Great car but safety is a major concern with these bad boys.
It annoys me carbon fibre is light. Light doesn’t necessarily been crushable. However this car is a death trap on a highway.
Doesn’t bother me at all. Then again, I rode a motorcycle for 19 years. 😉
They need to do a wide body with bigger engine and rims

I am 187cm and i dont manage to fit in it
I got the last year RF top spec for 45k. This one is not really worth it.
Australian dollars which is equal to roughly $34,000 USD
Alcantara otherwise known as Cheap seud is another joke Wears very poorly . Would never ever order it and stick to all Premium Top Grain nappa hides.
I think I stick with my 91 mr2 which Mazda copied
Procharged32 nothing alike. Mr2 is rear engined. Where is mr2 now?
Cool, have fun with your Super Nintendo as well.
Presenter is like Siri. Talks way too slowly, weird spiritual analogies, and quirky jokes.
Hi r3, Thanks for the feedback. A lot of people like Siri. JC
Hahaha
Yawn.....
Vibratory Car.
Is this guy needs work. Boring and talking about a school of fish or something with a becon
Sorry you feel that way, Blake. Just using a couple of analogies to position the MX-5. Will try to be less horrid in future. :-) JC
