Superb video... can you explain how to prepare the Pond or tank for Biofloc culture. Regarding the discharge water how do you dispose it, any process involve in discharging the water from the tank or pond.
Good information. Are you using RO water for the culture? And you have a very good filteration unit for the sluge removal. Hope you will explain more about the filtration unit in the coming episodes.
We have access to seawater, but how do we start the biofloc water free from pathogens? Shall we use UV filter to clean the seawater first before entering into the culturing tank?
Salinity is measured ppt, also known as part per thousand. So if 1 liter of water contain 1g of dissolve salt, then it’s measure in 1 ppt. Since vannamei shrimp need 35 ppt. So I recommend putting 40 ppt, because a small percentage of salt can’t dissolve in water. So if 1 liter of water have 40 ppt, then 1 liter of water contain 40g of salt. Now multiply that by 5000, since you have 1 liter contain 40g of salt. Then take 40x5000 = 200 000g, 200kg. Then you need 200kg of salt. Hope this help you 😃.
@@RASAquaculture Ah, thank you. It is not a common name in Indonesia. We share a lot of similar names with you guys in Malaysia, buat that is not one of them. :)
