Im at a lost for words with how incredible this video is. You sir taught in 9 minutes what it took my teacher an entire lecture to teach. Thank you. I swear is there anything Khan puts out that isn't high quality content.
I love these videos! I don't get anything in lecture but this makes its more visual and I can understand it waaaayyyy better! This will help with my exam FOR SURE! I will pass this on to my nursing classmates! THANK YOU!!!
i am doing diploma in yoga . we need to study anatomy and physiology . your video helped me so much to learn better . i keep on watching and writing tests too after i learn from your videos . thank ou so much . i am 50 yr old lady. yours is of great help
This video was awesome as well as helpful! My gf sought out wanting to know how my Adam's Apple works or why it is so big and we both were super educated! This was so great! Please continue to post more vids Doc!!! Oh yea, I'm an animator and appreciate the illustrations.. They were great!
These videos are incredible. Thank you so much. I am so happy I found you! I'm in nursing school and reading and listening to lectures is tedious for me at times as I'm a highly visual learner. These videos bring the concepts to life and solidify my understanding! THANK YOU!
It's called the Adam's Apple because in the Bible Adam (the first man) ate an apple. This is because it kind of looks like an apple, or something similar, is stuck in the throat, and men are usually the only people who look like they have one (even though in actuality everybody does, it's just that the structure is smaller in women).
Many thanks, been searching for "why is anatomy and physiology important?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Piayilliam Uncomplex Power - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a great exclusive guide for discovering how to become an expert in human anatomy and physiology without the headache. Ive heard some decent things about it and my colleague got great success with it.
Your channel is awesome , you make boring topics look cool and interesting , and it's great that the background is quiet with no music or other sound effects which helps me personally stay focused .
This had a great teaching style, with the evolving picture and labels, and the erasing the top layer to the 'x ray' vision. I found this very conducive of a model for the respiratory system.
Adam, peace be upon him, is the father of humanity, and from his left rib, our mother, Eve, was created, and thus the generations have continued to this day.
I noticed the in depth of difference in NCLEX lung physiology and the ones for doctors. The ones for USMLE go into ventilation and perfusion, pressure, v/q etc ..
Very detailed video. One suggestion I would make is to make a stronger distinction between the characteristics of the right and left bronchi. The right bronchi goes approximately 20-30° angle from the south and is shorter and wider, while the left bronchi enters at a 45-55° and is longer and more narrow. It seems pedantic, but it's quite significant because if one has something lodged in their airways there's a good chance that it goes into the right mainstem bronchi due to it's natural continuation with the trachea.
My biologie teacher gave us a video to watch about the breathing process or whatever, i did watch it but then i came to uour channel and its just 5 times better
RUclips help a lots in time of video lectures on line, but some time the breaking and cracking discourage a lots. Therefore RUclips try and improve and allowed easy download.
Its a good video I find them very helpful, I am studying for my animal anatomy and physiology exam and it helps me get an idea. Would be helpful if you used the proper terms though such as thryroid for adam's apple
Despite the asthma paradox that asthma drugs or herbs just cause more asthma medical docs steer clear of physical therapy or massage for asthma. Pressing forefinger and thumb together (very well known chin mudra) deepens breathing and relieves asthma. Another asthma mudra is crossing fingers.
Yes it does, pharynx is the throat, larynx is the voice box. So in order, Nasal cavity, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi and branches into bronchioles and forms the alveoli at the end of it in the alveolar sac.

I thought "Adam's apple" was a biblical reference, haha
I think it partly is, for the same reasons he said and because of, well, the apple.
it is

doesn't the air go through the pharynx before the larynx (voice box)?
