    If you have a divine weapon/armor piece, and you want to inherit an effect across to it, how would it be possible if all the slots are already filled?

    prior to patch looks likie all weps have familiarity cap of 750. now low quality items have less, and higher ones have more. my spear has like an 800 familiarity cap.
    I figured out the levelling of gear up but I did not catch that those familiarity bonus stats could be transfer as such. It was mentioned in game but confused me more than made itself understood. Thnx for the clarity.

    FINALLY !!! i've been on youtube for 40 minutes now and this is the FIRSt video that touches upon FAMILIARITY. So, if you find a STRONG weapon with a great skill on it, but it`s NOT on the weapon you want. You Use "FOUD" weapon to max its familiar to 750. and THEN, use it in soulmatch to transfer the heritage to another weapon? Correct ??
    Also, using a weapon and increasing it familiarity, it also gets better stats and does increasingly MORE damage? Correct??
    Thanks for this video !!

    • @rpgdivision
      @rpgdivision  4 года назад +2

      Only skills with that special icon next to it can be transferred to another weapon. To do so, familiarity needs to be at maximum. Weapons with increased familiarity have raised stats, yes. At least that was the case when this tutorial was made. I am unsure how things work now.

    I did not hear this mentioned but it is worth noting familiarity can bu increased without using a weapon, just by having it equipped. Equipped weapon 1 will gain familiarity even if you only use equipped weapon 2.

    is all the stats you get tied to weapon lvl +rarity + familiarity?.. or do they have some rng rolls to them aswell?
    and what happends if i add strong attack damage on a weapon that already have strong attack damage?.. the same attribute takes 2 slots? or it just doesn't transfer at all?

    • @keithstarkey5584
      @keithstarkey5584 7 лет назад

      As to the second part of your question -- transferring strong attack -- if your final weapon already has the effect (or, as I understand it, a similar one), then the effect will not transfer over to it.

  • @AllPainful
    @AllPainful 7 лет назад +2

    high level can inherit from lower level. i have done it. level doesnt matter. you cant inherit if the item already has a skill of same effect (Damage or Ki damage or ki reduction) Low Attack Damage and High attack damage are the same effect (Damage) so cant be on same weapon. note: damage critical and damage appear to be considered different effects though.

    I'm confused- why not just use reforge then refashion to get the armor/weapons you would like to settle with at your current stage of the game? Or just equip weapons and armor that you found in a mission that is bad ass? why do you have to soul match? This really didn't explain it to me.

    • @MrGilRoland
      @MrGilRoland 7 лет назад +3

      Sitizen Kane There are unique items in the game, such as unique weapons or armor. Especially the ones going in specific sets, like ninja etc. When they drop the first time, they drop at a given level. Going ahead with the game, that level will become obsolete quickly. So now you have a unique item that you'd like to use, but it's level is outdated compared with yours and enemies. Now is when Soul Match comes to help.

    Maybe i just don't understand. The finished form of the weapon is always worse than the material weapon that gets destroyed so I dont understand what the point is. There's gotta be something im missing.

    • @MerkinMuffly
      @MerkinMuffly 3 года назад

      Not necessarily, say the higher weapon has an inheritable trait you really want, like 'close combat damage' and it's a weapon you're not proficient with and you want to transfer that powerful trait to the weapon you use, that's where it makes sense.

    I got a Divine Kusarigama from the Glory Vendor guy & i found another one doing a Mission both are level 150 & the vendor one has 22% close combat on it as a Inherit stat, the weapon i found on the mission doesn't have a inherit stat but it wont let me move the 22% ability over even though i have Max Familiarity with both weapons... am i missing something?
    Note: it works when i try & use it with a level 150 spear i have & with my Raikiri but not the other kusarigama :(

      First check if the weapon whose stat you want has max familiarity.
      Also check if your 2nd equipped weapon has that same effect cause they do not stack.
      Its a weird system tbh. Sometimes it just wont let you no matter what.

    Quick question, RPG: is it only soul matching to raise the level that resets the Familiarity on the base item to zero, or is it also soul matching to pass on an inheritance that resets it as well?

    • @rpgdivision
      @rpgdivision  7 лет назад

      Whenever you use an item through soul matching familiarity resets to zero. Soul matching is used not only to transfer an inheritance but to increase the level of the base item as well if you match base one with higher level one. Its very expensive though, as you might have seen already.

    • @keithstarkey5584
      @keithstarkey5584 7 лет назад

      Great, thanks much!
      You know, though, I'm wondering how you can tell what your original Attack Multiplier is on an weapon prior to any Familiarity kicking in. Perhaps, if you knew this information, it would make it easier to judge whether to level up your existing weapon or start with a new one. Further, it'd be nice to know what the percentage change for the Attack Multiplier is per, say, 10 ticks of Familiarity.
      I'm thinking that if you know this information (at least the original Attack Multiplier), you can decide much easier to level up just one level, which might not be expensive, verses forgoing your existing weapon and going with a new weapon.

    • @Kindlesmith70
      @Kindlesmith70 7 лет назад

      +Keith Starkey, that right there pisses me off slightly. When it comes to numbers it's important know everything (like the hidden numbers in pokemon games). The game is literally is built for min/maxing numbers and then hides quite valuable information just because you've become 'familiar' with it.
      Did that just sound dirty to anyone else? XD
      Pen and paper must be acquired for record keeping of weapon stats before use.

    good tutorial man, but why I can't use a weapon with max familiarity as a material?

    • @rpgdivision
      @rpgdivision  7 лет назад +1

      Only way to transfer inherited effect is if you use a weapon with max familiarity as a material. Maybe you need to unequip it first.
      Game doesnt let equipped weapons to be used in soul matching.
      If its not that, then it could be rarity issue. You cant put a lower rarity item into material slot then the one you want to upgrade.
      Rarity in ascending order - white, yellow, blue, purple

The game wants you to go through the game bare bones 1st...i don't know why, but they do. Once you unlock the Map, go to the Starting point, & click Black smith.
      I understand what your going through, this game should come with instructions...

    • @rpgdivision

      Try unequipping it first. Or you need to Unlock it by pressing square if you cant choose it at all.
      Dont know what else could be. I mean for armor its straightforward. Put one lower piece you want to upgrade and one higher level piece as a material

    • @rpgdivision
      @rpgdivision  7 лет назад

      Thank you mate.
      Yeah its definitely something else.
      Also one more thing to watch out that im not sure if i mentioned.
      If you just want an inheritance from a lower level weapon, soul matching is worth it big time. If you want to upgrade low level weapon to a high one then its not.
      Cost is too high.
      Just a moment ago i wanted to upgrade a spear from around 70 to 80 and it said it would cost me 9 mil Gold. Prices are ridiculous.

    • @Gnathorn
      @Gnathorn 7 лет назад

      So you soul match the low level weapon first near to the weapon´s level which you want the skill inherited? (To save money - edit)

    • @rpgdivision
      @rpgdivision  7 лет назад

      I just use low level weapons that i have max familiarity on and if they have good inheritance as a material. If not i just get rid of the weapon cause leveling it through soul matching is not worth it.
      I think ive said a wrong thing in the video, which is that if you want an inheritance to transfer then material weapon needs to be at least the same level. That is wrong.
      Inheritance is transfered from a lower level material weapon as well, you just dont upgrade the base weapon's level cause youve matched it with a lower one. Level stays the same that way.
      I hope this helps

    What I wonder is.. I soul matched a lvl 6 armor to make it lvl 34 today. It cost me around 63k gold, okay? I then tried to soul match another piece of armor that was lvl 12 to a lvl 34 piece, that would cost me around 450k gold. If I switched the lvl 12 piece to another lvl 6 it would've cost me around 70k. So higher lvl items to soul match cost more you would think, right? Nah, wrong. A lvl 18 piece to make into a 34 was 31k gold. WHERE IS THE LOGIC?!?

    • @rpgdivision
      @rpgdivision  7 лет назад

      It is strange indeed. I havent worked how game calculates costs yet. They make no sense.
      Maybe it is connected to special effects on a weapon and rarity of the weapon itself but it is strange nonetheless.

    • @8Kibosh8
      @8Kibosh8 7 лет назад

      Daniel J In my testing it seems as if not only the level, but also the rarity of the item being sacrificed influences the soul match price. It's less expensive to match up with items that are rare [purple < blue < yellow < white] than more common items of the same level. Don't get your hopes up too much though, it's still very expensive!
      For now, to me, that's how it appears to be working.

    • @15000000th
      @15000000th 7 лет назад

      This is exactly why I searched up how Soul Matching works. I tested it a tiny bit yestetday before going to bed and yes the item's rarity you sacrifice in the Soul Matching does affect the end cost, and also there is an unknown factor to why certain items cost so much to upgrade. I am having the same issue wanting to upgrade a low level armor piece that will end up costing me 135k to upgrade it, while others cost way less. Gotta figure this out...

    • @holydeity4540
      @holydeity4540 7 лет назад +1

      I have the answer. The base lvl of the gear originally is what is used to figure out the cost. So let's say you have a lvl 1 weapon that you want to soul match to 50. It would cost significantly more to soul match that item to 50, if instead let's say a lvl 45 gear. The only reason I think this was implemented to the game was so that you couldn't just simply run around with the same gear for the entirety of the game.
