What a beefy looking fan. I seriously think that these D blade exhaust fans are up there in terms of looks with the ILG fans. We have one of these D bladers in a kitchen in pakistan and man that thing used to have the same hypnotising effect on me as well when I was a kid lol. As for that GEC exhaust fan you were referring to, I have a feeling they first showed up here before GEC moved their manafacturing to to india. I have seen a couple of them show up here with pretty much the same design but with that chunky motor that you mentioned. Great video as usual :)
I see it that way as well! Its got this old school look beefy look that I also see on the ILG 'Q' blade fans. I honestly haven't figured out where this fan originally came from design wise, but it seems to be British Indian?
