Getaway was one of the two very first pinball games he bought in the early 90s. What a memory. Thank you for a wonderful tribute ❤️

I Roy Wils want to thank you guys for this wonderful special episode about lyman.. i loved the great stories about him, i have meeted him back in the past for atleast like half a dozen times throughout my pinball tournament history mostly in the states but also abroad like in belgium and sweden! He said wonderfull things about my own pinball skills back in sweden, which is almost like 18 years ago now, i also admirred his pinball skills aswell.. i loved to be in his presence at all the times, he was an absolute force in pinball to be reckoned with!! I for one will never forget him ever in my life, the same can be said for the late steve epstein which Roger mentioned aswell during the podcast tribute.. he touched my heart aswell on a couple of occasions when i visited New York, what a great guy he was.. if there is something like an afterlife i would be happy to meet them again over there!! Pinball is about love❤ and the wonderful people surrounding it. Rest in peace Lyman and Steve..

I met Lyman a few times at PAPA. I had heard how great of a guy he was. Unfortunately, I got to meet him when he was in tournament mode. He did end up winning one if not both years I met him. I don't blame him for being in serious mode by any means. I just with I could have talked to him when he was not in tournament mode. I wish I could have talked to him about the first World Wide Tournament system with Revenge From Mars that I was a part of making work. He is definitely missed!

@cvseniorful that does stink you didn't get to meet him outside of a tournament. His Revenge From Mars game was brilliant and definitely doesn't get the love it should. Thanks for sharing

@loserkidpinball Yeah. It would have been really cool! I think Lyman would really appreciate what Jim has done to add to the code since the game's inception. It really stinks on the William's side what they did to the P2K platform. Williams made 12Milltion with P2K machines. However they made over 300milltin with slot machines. So P2K and WMS pinball side died. I can go on and on about it. But, what a great video with his close friends!!

Great episode guys - First I think Stern did an epic job of the MET Remastered and kept the heart of Lyman in it and continued with Ray working with the same attention to detail that Lyman worked with. I was lucky to play Batman '66 with Jack, Doctor John and Lyman at TPF and as we played for hours and having had quite a few drinks, and Lyman telling me things about my play that I hadn't noticed :D plus Lyman was still making notes to improve the game, at NYCPC he told me the rules for Iron Man and again helped me get a better score.
And as well as being a game designer he was an outstanding player also and he poured his playing heart into the designs he made with a level of detailed thinking that we now benefit from massively in all of his games. It was no surprise that when ever Stern would launch a new game the first question across the global community was always 'Is Lyman on code?" - and when the answer iwas yes, hundreds of us would buy the game without having even seen it....
