I know I literally just started an ambient music training arc but as soon as I made the last song I had too many ideas for a cool melody and stuff not to use them I'm so sorry ;-; ;-; ;-;

Honestly, as a musician myself I have ideas beyond my skill level all the time. Over the years I produced a huge collection of amateur recordings of some ideas I came up with on the spot, and just never developed or fleshed them out because I couldn't give them the form they had in my mind, with my current skill set. Every time something like this happens I just go "Yea cool but I'm postponing this, hopefully future me will have studied the disciplines required to make this thing in my head a reality". Just to never really get better at it because I don't have that kind of time anymore. So yeah happens a lot to me too 😢
Actually I envy you a bit for being able to chase your passion like this. Maybe one of the reasons I really like this channel is because you're following the path I couldn't. Who knows, your inspiration may finally encourage me to take the challenge!

My brain often composes music in my dreams, and when I wake up I can hear the remains of them. I always try to quickly write them down before I forget it. Have a bunch in my sheet music blocknote. So yeah that's mostly how I come up with Ideas for music

About the creativity stuff, I'm totally with you on that I typically just make what my creativity craves :D It's awesome when the mood strikes but it makes creative divots hit hard. I think it just boils down to practice (of course, as everything does). If you make stuff for the sake of making stuff, rather than to satisfy a creative urge, more often, you'll get better at just making the music you need. It's necessarily uncreative and so can feel a bit soulless, though. From there it's up to you to see where you stand with that. I'm sure you'll figure it out in all your prolific-ness
It's so cool that you manage to make songs feel full without using too many instruments, and I love the use of acoustic guitars for a layer of intensity. It gives me a vibe of *Chaos* while also making the part sound kind of major and positive? I'm watching an anime that uses it and I think it's really cool
I'm super impressed how you manage to give a different feel to each music video! sometimes i notice a bit of katana zero(in parts where the piano plays and makes you feel all safe and cozy), sometimes i hear ultrakill and another times i get a jrpg vibe and I'm really loving it! I don't know exactly how to explain it but it just feels right. at times where you mix them together seems so seamless, like they were made to work together! Insane work as always as i send off this yapathon!

In my experience, whenever I try to aim for a specific style I usually end up making a couple of songs that end up getting scrapped before ending up with something I want. For me a lot of it is just a tendency to default to what I'm more comfortable with which isn't very useful when trying to make something new, so it takes a couple of attempts before I'm able to actually kick myself out of my comfort zone.

Okay, so for the context that no one asked for:
What I was talking about was that i see a character with an obsession to make herself beautiful, loved by all, and the strongest to top it all off. She prayed and made offerings to the point where she practically wasn't even fully herself anymore. When her gods finally responded, they made her into something like a goddess, but she became unfeeling. She couldn’t smile, she couldn't laugh or sing or cry or anything like that. She was made into a weapon for her people and her gods as they told her that beauty is birthed by tragedies, leaving her to be a goddess of war who couldn't even choose who she would slay.
It appears that the strongest (more abstract) foes and/or locations in azali’s gallery are accompanied by ticking noises
1. I love how chill this Goddess of Indifference’s theme is. Makes sense thematically!
2. As for the question about art, I have a bit of an odd case because I’m extremely multi-media (I make music, 2d art and 3d art). Sometimes it’s easy to make what I want whenever I want, but sometimes I have to do a lot of research. I don’t always know how to make an instrument sound right or how to get 3d things done. However, if I 1. Know exactly what I want to do and 2. Know exactly how to do it, I find making art and music like that very easy.
