Drill holes in the 4 corners. Then you can cut the edges without all the extra cuts. Nice rounded corners too.

Excellent instructional video. The light jazz in the background is not distracting.

I would put a bucket underneath to catch the dust and debris thus saving you some vacuum time.
I would like an outlet with both USB C & A if I do this with my table.
Thanks for posting it & I subscribed.

Thanks for this tutorial! I think if I were doing this, I'd avoid the built-in USB charger and go with 3 or 4 120VAC sockets, because the built-in charger is likely not the high-speed type that allows fast charging on newer phones. So if you have 120VAC sockets, you can plug in any kind of charger, replace it if it goes bad, etc.

Thanks for making a short and sweet video on this! Do you know if I did this with the outside of a drawer, would I have to worry about the box part of the outlet inside getting overheated? I wanted to do this with a few pieces of furniture including a dresser. Thanks for any help!

think about your normal outlets which are inside walls, you’ll probably be fine, as long as the actual plug is exposed coz some of them do get hot!

So I’m gonna need six of these for one big table but I don’t then want to have 6 cords running from my table…should I get a surge protector / power strip to hook up underneath table and then plug the 6 cords there? Or is there a more efficient way?

Mount a surge protector underneath the table, connect all of the outlets to it.

Would need to make a recessed edge. I’m not very experienced with proper tools, but I’m pretty handy with a razor or rotary tool. Bet with some practice you could make it work.

Plug in 1 AC power brick and the other outlet is unuasable because they put them so close together.
