Thanks for more of that impressive Montana scenery and a bit of clear blue western skies! Small wonder nobody hung around the lake and you had all the campsites to yourself with that bugginess. Beer at the trailhead is a powerful motivator after all those insects. I'm 4 weeks out from my jump date to start road tripping to Colorado for the Fall. I'm at the point when doubt sets in and I start asking myself if I really want to commit to another 4-day, 1,200 mile road trip (one way!). And then I watch a video like this and decide "yep" gonna do it. Thanks for the inspiration! The music overlays really fit the segments they're paired with.

Thanks for the views that I've wondered about for years!Wanless right there! Beautiful!Bugs suck in the Cabinets in July, worse then other places. We've been chased out of Upper Geiger before. Little Ibex was the worst. We spent 15 minutes there, one of the most spectacular lakes in the Cabinets. I didn't even take any good pics of the lake. It was so overwhelming with bugs. So I feel you! You got me thinking, Wanless from Buck Lake. I've done it before, but not with a full pack. Great video! Thanks for sharing! Hike on!

Beautiful. Headed that way soon and thinking on Geiger. Hopefully bugs won’t still be hanging around too much. Little factoid - the caribou migrations in the arctic are determined by the wind. Whichever way blows the mosquitoes away determines which direction the caribou migrate - just to get relief from the bugs!
BTW, noticed you got a new pack.
