  • Hair dye allergy can affect anyone, sometimes starting many years after it was first applied. The most common allergen is paraphenylene diamine (PPD); however, numerous other ingredients could also cause a reaction. In this video, we look at the various hair dyes that exclude specific allergens. Natural hair dyes, which do not have the main hair dyes and are less likely to cause allergies, are also reviewed.

    Thank you so much, I was just watching your older video . I am considering Elumen the dark brown color (NN series which cover greys), I am worried. Do you know if MI or toluene is in Elumen ? 🙏

      @DiscoverDermatology  10 месяцев назад +1

      Glad the information was helpful! Looking at the ingredients, ir does not contain most of the "usual suspects" that cause allergies. MI and toluene is not listed. As mentioned in the video, there is no hair dye that is 100% safe!

    Doctor, what about Wella Koleston ME+. It is PPD and PTD free.

    • @DiscoverDermatology
      @DiscoverDermatology  6 месяцев назад

      Thats a very good point! It contains a methoxymethyl modification of PPD which is supposed to be less allergenic. In fact, I was planning to do a video on it soon, so watch out for it!

      I have looked at the ingredient list of Anu Hina from information online and this included
      Ingredients of AYUHINA are as follows:
      HEENA, Amla (Emblica Officinalis)
      Brahmi (Bacopa Monniera)
      Bhring Raj (Elcipta Alba)
      Shikakai (Acacia Cancinna)
      Neem (Azadirachta Indica)
      Reetha Powder (Soapnut)
      Tulsi (Ocimum Sanctum).
      This does not contain any commonly known allergens so it would be worthwhile trying.

      Its great to hear that zinc helped your viral warts.
      I have done a video on white hairs before. Unfortunately, scientifically, there are not too many good options for treatment of white hairs. Here is the video:

      These dyes mentioned above are the safest for those Wirth hair dye allergies. Considering them one by one may be the best option as we sometimes may have no reaction with one of them.

    every hair dye contains ppd so its a marketing scam. if you see any of these "no ppd in hair dye" thats bullshit

    • @DiscoverDermatology
      @DiscoverDermatology  3 месяца назад

      You may right. In the UK, though, there are strict regulations regarding labelling for PPD. Any multinational company who do not declare the exact constituents of their hair dyes may face serious legal issues.
