My grandma is a superager. Healthy 99yo. She has brushed her teeth with baking soda and rinse 3 x week with peroxide since the depression. Never had a cavity, has all of her teeth and a beautiful smile
Hey pretty lady! I found little ziplock bags at my pharmacy and that’s what I use for my medication and my supplements. They have an AM and PM box so that you can differentiate your morning and evening pills. Once I put my pills in the little ziplock baggies, I put them all in a larger ziplock bag. It saves a lot of room in my suitcase.
Hi Kimberly! Pouring a small amount of hair product into a ziplock bag is genius! I’ll definitely be doing that on my upcoming trip. I have a “safe” purse that I use when traveling. It’s a crossbody bag with the same anti theft components as your backpack and it holds quite a bit. One less thing to worry about. Love your channel!
Great little video! You look amazing! I found little tiny pill zip lock baggies at CVS, so instead of using a large box for my supplements, I make one or 2 ( Am and PM) for each day. Easy to customize for how many days I’m gone. And they are also reusable. Found in the section with the pill boxes.
Hi Kimberly! I always look forward to your Sunday video. I think you may have baking powder (which can contain aluminum) confused with baking soda. The latter does not contain aluminum. As for travel, I'm actually looking forward to our next trip! We went to Costa Rica in March and I was walking with a cane.......it was not good. I had my total hip replacement after we returned, and it's amazing to be able to walk again and with no pain. 😊
Loved the ziplock idea for hair products. Do you just carry on your regular foundation? Loved your neutral makeup look today! Please share. Would also like to hear what clothes you pack.
Airport terminals are a hellscape. And then when you escape… the plane is nothing but insults to dignity. 😂 I flew a small private-like carrier from OC to Monterey in California recently and it was heaven. NO TSA, Arrive 20 minutes ahead and park in the General aviation lot. Free booze and snacks from a cheerful attendant. Exit the plane and your bags are waiting at THE BOTTON OF THE STAIRS. Ready to roll to your Uber ride steps away. The reduction in travel stress was staggering. Also, I’ve been traveling Amtrak sleeper routes now and then- amazing if you’re not in a hurry. Great post. Looking good, girl.
Great suggestions, Kimberly! I'll be traveling soon, so this video is timely! I had to laugh when you asked, "Remember when traveling was fun?" I sure do! I also remember getting "dressed up" to fly anywhere! Boy, how times have changed!
I solved my travel issues by never traveling by plane. My travels since retirement are strictly for fun and recreation and camping road trips. With my van as back-up sleeping accommodations, I have a 4 drawer dresser for clothes and other items I may need and a plastic bin for camping gear. One small bag to stick some overnight items In case I want to stay at a motel now and then. Fun and comfort without stress is what it's all about.
Hi, Kimberly ~ I noticed in your newsletter today that you leave out the croutons in your salad, I'm not a fan of croutons either so I add oven-roasted chickpeas. They are delicious and can be seasoned the same as croutons but add more protein 😋
I’ve noticed that as I get older travel really takes it out of me. Airlines are getting more restrictive and chintzy while coming up with more excuses to charge us for ridiculous things. They make the travel experience tedious and hectic. Thank you for some fabulous tips to make the process less of a pain in the neck!
Fellow purple carry-on and pac-safe backpack user! Like you, I travel a lot and only use a carry on (so freeing!). These were great tips! I do know of a smaller travel pill container that is like a velcro envelope with small zip lock bags for each day of the week from Amazon. So handy and easy! I use toothpaste tablets which I love also. Having TSA Global Entry is also a huge help for those TSA lines here in the States.
You look younger and healthier as the years go by, oh, and more beautiful!! Your hair looks pretty in the new style and your skin glows. Thank you for a lovely video Kimberly.
Your makeup and hair look great! I agree with u on travel,I live in so cal and my daughter lives in Oklahoma so I’m going back and forth a lot,it does take a lot out of u!
Love the baking soda “toothpaste.” I do the same and use a small amount of coconut oil, and some activated charcoal along with my peppermint oil for toothpaste!
We used to travel internationally for vacation and I dreaded packing everything I thought I needed. Video's like this helped me so much. Great tips about the baggie for hair product's! You always impress. Thank you
That is a good idea for the hair products! I can find these individual samples in a flat package for shampoo and conditioner but not my hair smoothers! Yea!
Thank you for the great tips! This brand advertises no aluminum, leaving the impression that other brands do, but it is baking powder that contains aluminum. Would love to know where you got the sweater you have on!
Came back here to say that the inflatable pillow is a total travel game changer! Wow! So much more room in my backpack! I'm on a flight that limits carry-ons, and a pillow is counted as "one carry-on", so people are stuffing those babies in their bags like crazy. Thanks for the tip!
Great tips! I just traveled to Texas from Fl. I missed my connecting flight because American Airlines changed the gate 3 times. My husband and I ran from one end of the terminal to the other side of the terminal and then had to take a tram to get to the 3rd gate. I was so upset and almost had a heart attack from running. It was not a good experience.😢
I have the exact same suitcase in rosegold.and i put a bright colored ribbon on my suitcase as well.also the bar shampoo and conditioner is a great item just toss it in your luggage doesnt take up any room.
You look especially beautiful today. Glowing! Good info. My husband and I traveled to Alaska last year with only a carry-on and a backpack, and it made getting on and off the planes, cruise ship, taxis much faster and easier, and no waiting at the luggage carousel! I do have a zippered suitcase, so I'll have to look into a different one. If you have ideas, please share. Thanks for your insightful videos.
I love using C60 as it has really helped my mobility. I did not know about the pectin benefit. I will try gummies on my next order. I usually use the coconut oil in my coffee. I have been taking C60 mtc oil for about 2.5 years. Thank you for the tip, Kimberly! I am super excited to see you present your results on their skincare. I think your skin looks amazing. I trust your research and reviews, and I am anxiously waiting to hear what you have to say before I dive into making that big of a purchase.😊
I enjoy travelling! I've been fortunate and have ever only had a couple of small mishaps....considering how many people travel on a given day, I think they fo a pretty goid job.
Love your Sunday emails! Hope it was a great Vacation. Can you tell me where you purchased your top/sweater? Also have you done a video on how you style your hair? I Love It 😻
Great tips. I’d like to see how you pack your 3-1 plastic case with makeup. I have to check because I can’t get it lol in one. Maybe suggest the makeup that works well for travel
Thank you for this! A new traveler here and I keep overpacking for “just in case.” Could you share video how you manage outfits and packing for a weeks trip to include shoes. I love shoes and always pack way too many and my suitcase gets almost too heavy to handle by the time I’m done adding everything I think I need. Buying pack pack. Great idea!
Thanks for this! I bought the blow up travel pillow on your previous recommendation and love it! I think they keep the planes so cold to cut down on germ spreading, maybe? If that's the case it is fine by me..just go prepared, like you do. I would loveto see video on how you pack that little carryon for a longer trip! As you know, I fail miserably at packing!
My favorite tip is to grab several of those free water sample tubs at the exit door at Home Depot or Lowes. These are perfect for keeping small amounts of things in my purse like Aleve, foundation for touchups, lotion, etc. The larger ones hold a few q-tips. I grab some every time I am there.
I have a purple suitcase for the same reason you do. I don't want to stand watching a sea of black bags go by. I want to buy either a pink or bright green one next time for the same reason. I also prefer a paper calendar and address book. Learned my lesson the hard way when my old phone died.
Just an FYI, I just checked my orange box (Great Value brand from Walmart) baking soda, there is NO aluminum in it, only sodium bicarbonate like this one.
When I traveled last the airport had our group move from gate D2 to gate G22. What a hastle to go from one wnd of the airport across thevwhold airport Majaority of us were seniors. Get pre approved TSA checkin...aves some time. Hand washables help to pack less and wear outfits for a few times. Thanks for the helpful hints.
I've only flown twice, and that was about 20 years ago. I don't think I could fly now; it's too complicated. Kimberly, I love your new hairstyle. Can you do a little video on what that cut is called by your hair stylist?
I've flown a lot of times. I remember flying when they actually fed you dinner , instead of peanuts. Isles were wide enough to walk thru. Seats were comfy But those days are gone. Now people don't dress up, looks like a cattle car.
Shampoo: Try a co. that make solid shampoo and conditioners. Kitsch for instance make a good bar. Esp. good for keeping the limit on liquids down. If you already have the standard black check on suitcase and don't want to buy a purple one, strategically tie some florescent flagging tape on your suitcase. I've done this for years and I can spot my bright orange flagged bag out of the sea of black luggage from afar. Arm and Hammer and aluminum---OMG how did I ever miss that!
Flying from Florida to Cal does suck. Long flight, too many people. I do that flight a couple of times a year. TSA is there to protect us. I don’t mind that. A private plane would make it easier.
Could you review some Amazon or other - Travel Train Cases for Toiletries/Meds/etc.? I have one of those fabric 'flip and hang' ones...and I need something a bit more substantial... for road trips, where something larger/heavier does not matter. Thanks!
If you fly out if the UK you can only take up to 10 x 100mls in a clear bag. I don’t think they would let you carry a little bag with an unknown amount of shampoo etc. good idea though. Thanks for all your tips xx
As a retired Flight Attendant of 30 + years I can say the glamour has left the building! With increasing loads of passengers and airlines cutting back on staffing while adding more / smaller seats it’s a recipe for disaster. Unless you have economy plus or first class it’s just a very uncomfortable situation. Please be kind to your flight crew. They are working their hardest 1 flight attendant required for every 50 passengers. The general public has also changed with manors out the door. Just saying a thank you or hello goes along way. And yes! Have your luggage stand out. So many people have black luggage pieces. Easy to get lost in the sea of bags. Have info tag and at least a bright colored ribbon tied on if your bag is black. I’ve had mine taken off several times!, The ordinary usually uses glass bottles. How do you keep that from breaking?

Hi Kimberley, do you have a solution for taking makeup with you? I would love to find a good all in one palette that would take care of eyeshadow, blush, bronzer, highlighter etc. and also what about brushes? I take way too many but feel I need them - have you found a solution to not taking too many brushes? My toiletry / makeup bag takes up way to much room every trip so I need a solution please. The bags for shampoo etc is a great idea
I was looking at the Sunday email and was wondering if you eat Romaine lettuce? Is it what you grow or do you purchase? It is one of the worst lettuces for e coli because of where it's grown.
Travel HAS become stressful and less fun definitely. Especially for anyone who travelled internationally in the 70’s 80’s and 90’s. The first thing to do is make sure your suitcase(s) are totally empty! Put all sharps in the bag that will go in the hold. Weird colour luggage is also my thing. I once had a yellow and brown tartan big suitcase. Now i have maroon. They stand out on the carousel. The other thing that i have stuck with is Ziplock bags. Plenty of them. Toiletries makeup medicines go in these. I had great need for these for my passport and other important items when I was flooded out of my hotel room in a very bad cyclone.! A lesson that taught me was always to store items in the safe in a ziplock bag. You can grab and go in an emergency. Just some tips. I love hearing how other people pack and fold clothing 😊
It sounds like it's a real trip to go anywhere anymore. My cousin visits her daughter in Montana and when she gets back home it takes her a couple of days to recover from her trip. It can be stressful. Thanks for having this video it has taught me what you can and cannot take on a plane. The gummies you take are they sugar free? I need something to get me going. Fatigued every day. Again thanks!! We appreciate what you do.
I just noticed that I had been unsubscribed from your channel! You must of said something the RUclips powers that be didn’t like?? Great video. I always get great information from your videos.
Kimberly - this was great!! I have a question about the ¨Lions Mane tincture;¨ I have been taking it several months now and can´t really tell that it´s helping much. Do you know of another supplement that could help with memory or mental cognition. Until I find something else, I guess I´ll keep taking the Lions Mane, but would love something more effective. Thanks for all you do!!
Eunice from the RUclips channel Theory of Simple has a lot of great pack light travel ideas. I love audiobooks when traveling as well. With a library card and the apps Libby and Hoopla, I have access to around 6,000 audiobooks. For free. Nice video, Kimberly!
Are used to do that too and I live in Florida with the overhead suitcase and then a backpack. But now they count the backpack as a piece of luggage. So you haven't found that the airlines change that rule? Maybe it had to do with your particular airline that allowed you to have the backpack. I'd like to know what airline you went on I went on Southwest
Oh my. I tell my friends, this is why I don't fly anymore. I remember when it was genuinely fun! I found it so pleasant to be at the airport & chat with people. Dressing up for the trip was so nice! People in general were dressed nice. I'm not being "judgey," just stating a fact. As long as you gave yourself plenty of time, there was very little fuss. Not anymore! Now, we are treated like herded cattle, manhandled, zapped with constant radiation, AND we pay for it! I have a raspberry colored carry on for the same reason....and I love it! Although, I've only used it once! The plastic bags are a great idea! The mouthwash sounds wonderful! Thanks for another great video!
I find travel harder as I age. At 78, it’s a lot more of a challenge! I didn’t know the Arm & Hammer baking soda contained aluminum🙄😑. Thanks for the tips!
Great video! The Prairie Homestead website states " Baking soda is 100% sodium bicarbonate. Baking soda does not contain aluminum. I even called the Arm and Hammer (the “famous” baking soda company) to double check, and they stated very definitively that their baking soda is 100% sodium bicarbonate and contains zero aluminum. Whew. It’s kinda nice to have one less thing to worry about, huh? However, all baking soda is aluminum-free, even if it is not labeled as such.
I would love to see you, actually pack a bag for an upcoming trip. I always overpack :-). Have a wonderful week ahead!!
My grandma is a superager. Healthy 99yo. She has brushed her teeth with baking soda and rinse 3 x week with peroxide since the depression. Never had a cavity, has all of her teeth and a beautiful smile
Hi Kimberly....great video! Where is your sweater from? It's very attractive and looks great on you!
Great idea! I just put it in my Amazon cart.

White powder in a baggie guarantees a world of trouble when travelling internationally.😕

I’ve had a purple suitcases for about seven years. I love them!
Mine is black & white stripes. Easy to find.
Loved the ziplock idea for hair products. Do you just carry on your regular foundation? Loved your neutral makeup look today! Please share. Would also like to hear what clothes you pack.

I had to laugh when you asked, "Remember when traveling was fun?" I sure do! I also remember getting "dressed up" to fly anywhere! Boy, how times have changed!
I still “dress up” to travel! I can’t make myself go casual, and I’m always shocked to see people show up at the airport in their jammies😱
Or these young girls in tight gym wear totally disrespecting their bodies@@FreshEclecticism
I solved my travel issues by never traveling by plane. My travels since retirement are strictly for fun and recreation and camping road trips. You look so pretty this morning! 😊
Love your necklace. Deets please ?
Traveling is exhausting. 😢
I love your hair color!! It def makes you look younger!!
I have read that baking soda does not contain aluminum none of them. It is the baking powder that you have to watch for the aluminum.
I love your hair!!!❤
I totally agree.Travel has become more stressful.
Then fun
Love to Travel hate traveling !

Happy Sunday Kimberly. Traveling is no fun and good information to know ❤
thanks Kimberly. your hair color and cut are FAB! very becoming!! cheers
Darling I have a purple suitcase too! And just for that purpose of standing out! Great minds think alike! Thanks so much for the tips. 💜
Oh, that's so funny!! XO
Would love to see what you pack for a week 😊
Love my TSA pre check. Worth the money, though with 2 hip replacements I always set the X-ray machine off! Oh, well.
Your makeup and hair look great! I agree with u on travel,I live in so cal and my daughter lives in Oklahoma so I’m going back and forth a lot,it does take a lot out of u!
Oh my God, thank you for the tidbit on the baking soda and the aluminum and the Armin Hammer brand
Thank you, Kimberly!!! I love all these tips. Never knew this a/b store bought brand baking soda. Recently added you, and I am so thankful!
You're so organized! Brava!❤
You are Gorgeous...and so informative. I love that I can sense your helpful spirit!!❤❤
Thank you for all the information. 🎉 Especially the Baking Soda info. I did not know that. 🎉🎉🎉
These tips are AWESOME! THank you!!
Love the baking soda “toothpaste.” I do the same and use a small amount of coconut oil, and some activated charcoal along with my peppermint oil for toothpaste!

Which airline/flight counts a pillow as a carry-on? I'm flying next week with a neck pillow. 😮
This was a very useful video. Thank you so much!💕

Great tips, thank you Kimberly. As for my vitamins, I use a small jewelry reusable plastic bag. They seal nicely and take no room in my carry on bag❤
Great video. Thanks for doing this.
You look so pretty Kimberly! What lipstick are you wearing? It looks absolutely beautiful on you.. Thank you.
I love using C60 as it has really helped my mobility. I did not know about the pectin benefit. I will try gummies on my next order. I usually use the coconut oil in my coffee. I have been taking C60 mtc oil for about 2.5 years. Thank you for the tip, Kimberly!

Love your Sunday emails! Hope it was a great Vacation. Can you tell me where you purchased your top/sweater? Also have you done a video on how you style your hair? I Love It 😻
Great ideas!! Thank you.
The first few minutes of this video were hilarious and so spot on😂😂😂
Great idea!
Had to pack for 32 days this year...trust me you just learn as you go.

The shampoo in the baggie is a good trick however TSA requires all creams and liquids in the original bottle . Have you ever had trouble with this.
I use reusable pouches for my liquids. They're easily available on Amazon and it keeps from throwing away a baggie/ ziplock
Hey Kimberly, these are great suggestions... The C60 gummies, how many do you take a day? Just 1?
Wondering the same thing.

Your skin looks remarkably better. Do you think it is the carbon 60?
I've only flown twice, and that was about 20 years ago. I don't think I could fly now; it's too complicated. Kimberly, I love your new hairstyle. Can you do a little video on what that cut is called by your hair stylist?

You can tell, seasoned travelers from newbies. Great video. ❤. Ty.

What do you do about makeup items such as foundation and moisturizer and things such as hairspray and other spray type hair products?
Thank you for all the tips ! Which c60 do you take ? I see 2 different gummies and anti aging as well.
❤ enjoyed thank you
Please show us how to pack a carry on for a week!
As a retired Flight Attendant of 30 + years I can say the glamour has left the building! With increasing loads of passengers and airlines cutting back on staffing while adding more / smaller seats it’s a recipe for disaster.
The manners part is so correct

I also want to know if you take the sugar free gummies, or the regular ones. Thanks !
My best suggestion is to stop taking it and watch what happens. You may realize it was doing more than you thought.
What do you take for make-up?
Awesome 😎
I put my purse in my backpack also
How do I get your beauty newsletter? I’ve signed up for it but I haven’t received any? Help please 😂
Hi! This is Care, Kimberly’s Assistant. Please email me at Support@PrettyOverFifty.com with the subject “newsletter” and I’ll add get you signed up!
You can have an overhead bag and a backpack under the seat and you have to put your purse in it, I fly SW monthly and do this
I pack efficiently but I like to check my main bag, carry my backpack on board
Thanks for the travel tips. Did you post the link to the safety lady on Instagram?
Amber link?
It doesn't........baking powder does. I guess she just confused the two.
Great video! The Prairie Homestead website states "
Baking soda is 100% sodium bicarbonate.
Thank you!
