This tree is a very rough draft, so much has changed and moved around with the tree…I’m not sure exactly what’s optimal right now tbh.

Nice video mang. I was wanting to go slayer slam or shield crush and I think you just convinced me to go slam. Are you earthshattering all the way or switching to something else later?
I actually earthshatter the whole way through as soon as I get it. Sunder is better most of time in campaign but I just prefer earthshatter.
Constantly pianoing your wrists for 3-4 warcries every second on top of flasks was hell, if you played og harvest/heist and dont have PTSD you're a robot
Well since harvest (when they were introduced lol) I’ve been pianoing…I’m 33 years old and I don’t really have any issues but honestly, I work full time and I don’t get to game a lot anymore.
I’m actually pretty casual when playing and don’t power game or rush, guess that helps.
I’ve added a semi auto exert setup.

From the patch notes on war banner : "While you have no placed banner, you can gain Valour. " I understand it as we can only gain valor when there is no banner active. So we cant a 100% uptime, but with the warcry mastery it should be pretty close.
We can’t have 100% uptime, yes you’re right.
Also I made a mistake, you only get valor when killing an enemy, not on melee hit…so I think I’ll actually invest in Valour generation on warcry as well.
Sweep Impale Crit, wanted it to be good enough for about 12 leagues, finally think it will be. Maybe even bleed slayer stacking endurance/frenzy charges ralakesh flip frenzy charges to affliction.
Ralakesh will be very good this league. Sweep impale could def be good, just be aware POB is not showing correct impale dmg now so dps will look lower than what impale actually is.
Why not Chieftain and make use of max Power and 7L? Also explosions will feel very comfortable while mapping
Tbh, I can’t come up with a Cheiftan POB that outclasses slayer or berserker…I haven’t looked into as deeply as the other ascendancies though.
I’m sure it’ll be good though too, not sure if it’s as good as the other ascendancies though .
me personally, im gonna play tect slam and i see so many people saying slams are bait this league... idk what to listen to lol
They’re absolutely not bait. I’ve played a variation of slam / warcries for almost four years now. Every time in SSF and every time, the build BREEZES through the campaign and maps.
Is it as strong as meta stuff? Absolutely not but it’s still very good I would say. I think tectonic slam can be very good.
Just finished my eq bleed glad 1h shield pob. 10m dps 88/87 block/spell block. 400+ life gained on block. Gunna be an ezzzzzz league hahah.
@Aye_its_tk I really want to play glad as well. I’ve never played shield crush..might do shield crush or sst glad for second build for sure.

What best skill for early Act? Sunder, earthshatter, tectonic slam?
Sunder is objectively the best…I still use earthshatter though because that’s what’s more enjoyable to me.
Im scared of playing melee because they required insane investment for endgame.
Now with the nerf to "phys damage taken as", Im even more wary.
I struggled with defensive layering and damage output, where the more damage I allocated, lowered my defense and thus couldnt hold against bosses for long. And if I upped my defenses, I was not doing enough damage to last mechanics like Searing Exarch balls.
It was a frustrating experience compared to magic builds which were easier to play with.
Slayer and Jugg have incredible defensive potential this patch. Especially with endurance charge changes.
Melee still won’t be as good as an arch mage build imo but the only thing I’ve ever had problems with is Uber bosses. Mostly because I’m not that good at the game.
What do you think about chieftan for tectonic slam. From my understanding you get a 8-link from the body armour if you pick Tukohama and "warcries have infinite power" from sione, wich I dont understand what that really applies. For the warcries put them in the weapon for a 6-link to really boost that dmg from overexertion. I really enjoy tectonic slam and want to try it out this leage. Sadly after playing this game 500+ hours im still totaly lost trying to make my own build. Would appreciate your thoughts on that.
I think cheiftan tectonic slam can be good. I will say that the playstyle of tectonic slam is very inconsistent when it comes to dmg. You want to consume endurance charges but still generate them quickly which is very hard to do.
If I were to go cheiftan I’d go volcanic fissure or volcanic fissure of snaking. Cheiftan explodes, fist of war, infinite power are all nice. It’s also a bit weird building phys convert, I think pure phys builds are better. I also think late game cheiftan wants to use Ngamahu, Flame Advance with a bunch of jewels to scale that way as well.
