I love that you can actually trip over stuff in this game, don't get me wrong sometimes it's annoying as hell but it really makes you pay attention to your environment.

@@loganhebert7475 well...id assume that the actual use for it was so you could pick derrin up there without having to kite him throughout the entire level where he could die and get stuck, especially since all those timed puzzles could leave him trapped, and allowing a safe escort for the second zone.
It's all about that spacing cheese, my dude. Having Derrin with you can help as well if there's 2 of them. Just wait for the golem to do a normal RTL-LTR combo and take the free overhead hit for big damage.
I killed every golem on the map... I say _I_ did it, but my undead minion did most of the work. I whacked a golem a few times to aggro him without awakening his buddy, then lured him to a door way for some cheese. Then a couple of zombies in rusty armour came charging me from behind , but I managed to get around them with minimal damage thanks to my armour. The golem helped me take them out with his wide swings, and then I noticed the blue + next to my focus bar. This meant I finally got the spell I had been training: Command Dead. So I backed into the nearest door and closed it behind me, leaving me safe to equip the new thaumaturgy. I cracked open the door in between the golem's futile door pounding to locate one of the bodies and took my first step into becoming a necromancer. The zombie Butchered the golem in 30 or so seconds. For some reason, golems ignore the player allied zombies... It even worked on the pres. I opened the door, lunged in to agro the golem, and get my warrior to target the golem (he was now decked in excellent and superior quality armour and carrying a pole hammer). I backed out and closed the door and waited. Being a mage is great.
oml this mans did in 8 minutes what I have yet too complete in my 100 hours of playtime in this game. I still get trashed on by the Golem Prez, hell I'm still struggling on getting my first actual Sir kill. Honestly for how wonky movement is this is insanely impressive and cool too watch. Good job on this run.

Thx! My best result is becoming a master in 44 minutes, there is one small trick that i didn't use in my 54 minutes speedrun, i don't know should i upload that run or maybe improve my result
This video inspired me to start speedrunning Exanima, and after many failed attempts I beat this run with a time of 7:30. Some of my time save comes from faster load times, but I’m pretty sure that if we removed load times I would still have a faster time. Thank you for the inspiration and good luck on your upcoming runs.
i was able to by level 2 get loyalty in thaumoturgy (which took me about 1 hour and 30 mins) and this man got to level 4 and killed golem president in less than half that time
Great video ill use this as a navigation reference. My laptop can barely run this game at 15-20 fps so Darrin and I have been slowly grinding away a few frames at a time. I love this game so far its worth every penny.

I was doing my Sir Arthur Dayne Run dual wielding swords, my run ended when one of the golems started chasing me even when i had the token, derrin took a lot of hits and i got knocked out múltiple times because he did not run, he wanted to fight. At the end when i asked him how he was, he said "not well but i can keep going", like a champ, we ran into another golem while i was trying to find a healing item and i took a strike that was meant for derrin, that one killed me. Has anyone done level 6 dual wielding swords? The reach and speed that the golems have is amazing, i was using the underworld captain set, pretty good, to be honest. Hitting them while dual wielding swords was hard, only when the golem was fighting derrin i managed to get some strikes but Slash vs plate armor does nothing, i was using the sword from the proctor on my right and one sword from the blademasters on the left. I went through a lot of places including the market sewers and did fine against everything there, since the enemies there are vulnerable against slashing, i actually did a massacre along with derrin, for some reason a lot of enemies were coming from the same direction, like they were spawning over and over again, i killed like 13 of those guys, ghouls and the other variants, some of the ones that throw slow strikes too in a single place, the ground was decent, that is why i managed but one golem destroyed me on level 6, i don't even know how am i going to manage against golem president, i want to fight dual wielding swords and those have low reach compared to 2 handed weapons, i actually killed the level 6 captain dual wielding swords alone, he uses plate armour too, derrin was fighting 2 golems a few rooms back while that happened, so the problem that i have is the reach of the swords, anyone has any advice?, i am sure someone has already beaten the game dual wielding swords.
Hmm that an intresting question, i guess it is possible to beat Golem in that way but it takes million tries. Even beat Golem with a broom is much easier only because of reach. I would reccomend you to switch to Robert Baratheon style with two-handed hammer, but beat President with dual swords sounds like a challenge! I would try it myself someday.

Right now, I think the game has 7 levels, plus 2 sewer levels (5.5 and 7.5) and one small one with bridges between a few crypts (2.5). The level after the portal is level 4 and the level with the Golem president is officially level 6, although you can play the levels in any order after the portal.

I havent killed them in a legit manner, but doors are their natural enemies.

you get proctor if you kill a proctor on lvl3 and double click that thing she have in equip. but if you play with proctor there is no derrin :(
