Once upon a daydream - years back, two or three
You sat at a table a few seats down from me
Frankly I was spellbound more than I could say
You came out of nowhere and took my breath away
If I had been a painter with any sort of eye
I know Leonardo’s Mona Lisa’d lose her smile
And I know that de Milo would be totally disarmed
Faded. Gone. Forgotten - erased by all your charms
BRIDGE
But time just has a way of colouring a memory
Of changing how we choose to see
Ev’rything that used to be
And if I could turn back time somehow
And weave another here and now
Oh babe, what could I say?
Would you still walk away?
Someday I may move on - only time will tell
As years go flying by if I’m still underneath your spell
But I’ll always remember just how wonderful you are
Ev’ry time I daydream or wish upon a star
But I’ll always remember just how wonderful you are
Ev’ry time I daydream or wish upon a star
