“They are walking contradictions” The people around me always told me that nothing about me is contradictory because " it's just not realistically possible for a persons inner self to be contradictory of its self ", so I always thought I was the only one. It's sad, but also comforting to know that I'm not alone in that.

This year more than ever I've asked people "am I crazy? Is it ME that's the problem?" until realizing that us INFPs are not only super rare but super unique.
"rather be lonely by the self rather than lonely in a group" wow... Since grade school I always wanted to eat lunch on my own even though I loved chatting and joking with my classmates.
Also, hiding our creative projects... Seriously I feel seen for the first time in DECADES.

To me it's hard to think of how bubbly and outgoing I can be, when I feel good and are with the right people, when I'm going through times where that is not the case. It's hard to be in the dark and know how and who you are when you're in the light. Not knowing how to get there.. needing the right people to be the sun and the rain for the flower in you to grow.
It's scary and exciting at the same time how this 10-minute video discusses my entire identity, Well for me as an infp male I just think people around me seem always viewed me as a very extroverted sarcastic clown as you can tell in my profile picture lol right? I always hide my sensitivity thinking these infp traits are weaknesses of mine, but yeah this is not true at all. (And hiding these makes it harder to vent out feelings trust me.) So for all infps out there, "there's always that one person who truly understands you, you'll never find them unless you give them a trust.":D
Agreed. Scary isn't? Is like inner self speaking to me... No doubt! These are genuine Fi.Ne.Si.Te traits. Uniqueness? Somehow, might be curse at the same time. Oh my oh my... Time for self reflection

I’ve heard that we have a bit of every personality type in us, it’s just in fragments and infp is just the more dominant trait
I think it's best to describe the cognitive function stack as squares that you walk across, and the squares you traverse the most are your mbti type. As for myself, I *think* I'm an infp, but I suspect I spend a fair amount of time in the same squares as an infj as well...

Same here. Anytime I’m with a group of people I don’t feel included. Everyone will be off having their own conversations and it seems each time I’m the one left out. I’d try to find a way to enter in but normally the conversations are about something I’m unfamiliar with so I’ll just sit there awkwardly. Eventually I’d zone out and begin daydreaming about random stuff that happened that day.
I don't regret of this misfit typical of us INFP's: in fact, I grew up surrounded by so many dumb jerks this remained the only possible solution for me.
If there is something that never stops to surprise me is the widespread public unconsciousness of the way the consumer society fills up everybody's heads with such an astounding amount of bullshit, even though philosophy has been teaching us since ancient Greece what a meaningful life looks like and feels like, or at least should.
None of the people in my life can understand where I'm coming from, as an INFP. My family basically just treat me like a weirdo and that hurts.
In between high optimism or purposelessness. Now I understand it after I hear the explanation. I also felt the same but I was still unaware about what happened to me at that moment. Thank you so much for the video!

About 20 years ago I was working in Law Enforcement... IRL... I recently entertained the thought of getting back into Law Enforcement and then.... then this morning, I was involved in a massive high-speed pursuit over many miles and gladly handed over the lead car chase position to a superior and told him to, "Enjoy" and fell back to support his success. LoL
All in my mind of course.
