This actually gives the rest of us perspective on what our MDs, LNPs, EMTs, RNs etc go through to take care of us. And even now, science is moving faster than ever, and these folks are often too busy to read up on a lot of stuff while in the middle of their actual careers. So here's my additional lines: "You went to med school, Studied like crazy, You take care of us now, And short-staffed maybe. Science is moving fast Discoveries are crazy You've no time to read now or research maybe. Hey here's an idea, And this is crazy: Patients will learn more On their own maybe. As long as they don't Get too crazy, and Think WebMD is the Be-all-end-all maybe.

The thing that bothers me is I looove medical related things; I was raised around parents in the medical field and always had a passion for it. However, I don't even like hearing people crack their backs, and weird things gross me out even saliva sometimes. I am so afraid I won't be able to have a career in medicine if I don't mentally toughen up, ANY HELP ON HOW TO NOT BE SO DISTURBED?
Hun when I was in highschool I passed out when we were doing the frog dissections. Now I'm in my last year and will be a doctor in a few months. Its not nearly as bad as you think. Just relax, believe me its not bad. If you find it interesting and love it, the 'gross' stuff won't be and just something new for you to learn. Relax. You'll do fine. The only advice I can truly give you, is med school is awesome if you really love medicine, but the hardest thing if its something you aren't really sure you love. Best of luck to you!
In Chile we study for 7 years... The life as a intern was hell: the shifts, the aggressive patients (and professors xD), the shouting, the "you are worthless, intern!". Sometimes I think only crazy people study medicine. Luckily I'm insane. cheers from Chile, class of 2011.
