Denee’ just lights up the room with her presence & her smile & she’s so Beautiful to look at too. You can tell by how she presents herself that she is very sweet & good person inside
I love everything about The Gilded Age. Stop with the stupid corset myths. Do some recent research. They're uncomfortable if laced too tight, but real humans who wore them didn't do that. They were for shaping and supporting the clothing more than the body. But if you wear modern comfortable clothing, then yes, a corset is uncomfortable.
Yep. I wore them during my living history days and as someone who has big breasts and a traditionally feminine build with the little waist and all, I must say the corset was a lifesaver! It held everything together on the top storey so that I was able to run around dancing and causing trouble! Now, if I got vain and tried to lace myself down too tightly...well, yeah, that way lay a dark and uncomfortable path, but that's my own stupidity, isn't it? Most of the time, not only did it hold the goods in place, but it provided back support even when I was bored and tired and slouchy. The corset held me up so I didn't look like a slumpy blob. I may be asleep, but my back is. unbowed. Couldn't bow it if I tried. Haha. Yay corsets.
@@zaker721 I sometimes wear one instead of a bra because of my bad back. It's so supportive. I have an authentic, expensive bespoke 18th century one, and if it's made for your body, it's so much better than a bra!
Actually they reeked havoc women’s bodies for centuries - particularly in the 19th century when it was fashionable for women to sport the tiniest waist possible. Historians have documented this - it’s not hyperbole.
Great show. and cast. Julian Fellowes always does his research. Mary Astor was the leader of NY society and her sacred 400. Also love his inclusion of a black family (former slaves) who are now affluent. Nice nod to the history of slaves who built solid communities in several Brooklyn neighborhoods in the late 19th century.
So much nepotism on the couch. And no, i'm not talking about Meryl's daughter.. i'm talking about Mrs Bush. Having famous parents can open doors boys and girls.
What is the question? Marion brought used shoes to Peggy, while Peggy was at her parents home, as she thought Peggy was poor because she was black. Peggy family have money and do not need charity.
@@ComradeHB She went out of her way to go there to support Peggy who made if clear she wants nothing to do with her father. Marion thought of Peggy as a friend
We need to stop trying to make Louisa happen. She is really milquetoast in everything she acts in. Her moms name and reputation has gotten her far. Nice…. The recitals are over. The people are paying to see productions now
bitter much? ps the ingenue is never as interesting as character actors. Jacobson does a fabulous job letting us read her face- rebellion, confusion, determination, manners.
The show is fantastic but Streep's daughter is, sadly, the weakest link. Has no discernable acting talent at all. Her mother is the single most talented actor of her generation and is compelling to watch. The daughter is so boring that she actually makes good material bad AND tedious. Worst example of nepotism I've ever seen and that includes American politics! Haha
All of her daughters are disappointing if you looking to find even a hint of their mother's talent. Out of boredom at their dreariness, you look at their Streep cheekbones which is the only thing interesting about them.
My favorite show right now. Absolutely love it and can’t wait for Monday nights. I’m really hoping they get a season 2. Bravo 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
It has been renewed for a second season!
Ikr this show is awesome
Same! Awesome to hear they have season 2
I love this show and these young ladies on it.
no but like the gilded age is absolutely brilliant, I'd happily recommend it
This show is absolutely fabulous! I can’t wait to see what happens this season!
Ms. Peggy Scott is my favorite. She is the best.
Also,please let your guests speak.
Wanted to hear Denee discuss her story line but no dice. Superficial interview.
Love, Love, Love this series and these two in it. Such great writing and acting.
Love this show! Season 2 please
.. to season 6 please 🤩
This period piece gives all the thrills & it is also the fashion for me
I’m obsessed with this show....💕💕💕💕💕💕
Thank goodness Miss Peggy Scott was there to save Miss Marion Brook’s reputation & virginity🙏🏻
This is dope you ladies are rocking it! #keepgoing plus it’s such a good show :)
Denee’ just lights up the room with her presence & her smile & she’s so Beautiful to look at too. You can tell by how she presents herself that she is very sweet & good person inside
Louisa seems so much like Meryl here. Even more than the show.
Loved it, totally! We are now ready and wanting more. Thank You all involved 🤗

I love how Louisa is standing on her own… not who her mother is …Denee and her husband are cute
Who is her mother?
@@bsingleton5938 Louisa Jacobson is the daughter of Meryl Streep
@@ryanamari2233 Thanks.
Love the two season, waiting for season 3 ❤
I love this show one of my fav’s!
Love the show , obsessed
They are soooo adorable and have amazing chemistry. Very rare to see good female buddy series
Love these ladies on the gilded age
I love this show!❤
Meryl Streep's daughter?!? I didn't know that.
me either
I am obsessed with the women on this show. And tht Mr. Russell and how he touts his power! Proud f you ladies!
Corset isn't supposed to hurt you. If it's properly fitted, then it's a support for your breasts and spine
I was really hoping that the interviewers could do the *one* interview with Streep's kids where they don't actually mention Meryl.
Love them both!
The actress who plays the maid is absolutely priceless in her look of absolute disdain for Marian Brooke - hilarious.
I love these girls! What a great show!
I love these two 😍
The second season is coming out in October of this year. I think they said the 22nd or the 29th but either way. I can’t wait. It’s a really good show
My favorit was Louisa Jacobson
Look at Meryl Streep's daughter....but lloves Denee!!
Marion and Peggy omg I loooove themmmmmmm.
I'm mad these women had never heard "snatched" used that way before lol
This is a great show
I like the show, just wish they spent more time with the characters. I feel like we still don't know who they are, especially the staff.
yo quiero a Gladys Russel y Marian Brooke💜💕💜
The two young ladies are fine but Hoda and Jenna are just ridiculous!

This feels like… if Melanie can do it so can Iiiiiiii!!!!! The woman has zero acting experience but 100% mother 🤣🤣🤣🤣
So much nepotism on the couch. And no, i'm not talking about Meryl's daughter.. i'm talking about Mrs Bush. Having famous parents can open doors boys and girls.
Well, Louisa is Meryl Streep's daughter I am sure the comparison is being made.
yo pienso que Marian y Larry Russel van a terminar juntos
Why does Louisa look like Meryl Streep.
Louisa is her daughter.
Poor Louisa. I'd buy her a comb if she can't afford one.
Although I love both characters (and actresses) why didn't Marian give Peggy the shoes back at her Aunt's House this makes no sense at all.
What is the question? Marion brought used shoes to Peggy, while Peggy was at her parents home, as she thought Peggy was poor because she was black. Peggy family have money and do not need charity.
She wanted an excuse to go where she wasn't invited.
@@ComradeHB She went out of her way to go there to support Peggy who made if clear she wants nothing to do with her father. Marion thought of Peggy as a friend
A decent show but no match for Downton Abbey. I think it starts promisingly but runs out of steam after several episodes and starts to drag.
Nepotism at it's finest.
Did you watch the show? She is really good in this. I didn’t even know who her mom is
This is so cringe

Sorry Steeps daughter has 0 acting ability
