I’m really enjoying the story. Acting is superb, costumes excellent, and enjoyable scenery. Everyone deserves high praise and an Oscar for story of the year.
Each of the actors in this series has channeled their characters admirably! This historical series sets a new standard for this genre of film - bravo also to Julian Fellowes whose attention to detail is nothing short of amazing! Only FX's Shogun matches this calibre of production...

A great deal of research was done to ensure the costumes were period specific and accurate for the time. To say they are not is incorrect. They may have taken a few liberties, but for the most part they are spot on. There are a few videos of fashion historians fact-checking the costumes in you tube, they are easy to find.
They couldn’t even bother to show Gladys with a chemise under her corset in season 2. People did NOT wear them against the skin. So, so much for research.

Disturbing. As a costumer...actress was EXTREMELY unprofessional mugging with a big sluce of pizza IN UNPROTECTED COSTUME Actress knows better. So should her costumer. Food disaster with working costumes cause shoot delays. Costs big money. Shame on the actress in the first place. Costume department for not payingvattention and production if costume dept is short staffed.

yes The Gilded Age was renewed for a season 3 but with the strikes just recently ending it may be awhile before season 3 happens maybe 2025

LOVE THIS SHOW. Why can’t they make weekly nonstop episodes, like old soap operas ( though those were daily). Imo
