    What is difference 8n price of nitto grapplers versus toyo OC r/t trail in size 315/70r27?

  • @Jassman3536
    @Jassman3536 Год назад +7

    Good info Neal. I tried most of the Hybrid tires including the Yoko X-AT...and went back to a AT tire. The best one I have found to date that does just about everything good from snow, trailering heavy equipment into jobsites and trailering heavy is the Falcon Wildpeak. In the looks department it falls a lil short vs the hybrids but after 20k miles on my 2020 F250 7.3 they don't get as loud.

    Neal, I went with Maxxis Razr AT-811 and am so happy with them. After 2 sets of Ridge Grapplers on my F150 and a set on our 4Runner, I wanted to see what else was out there and price wise the Razrs beat the Ridge Grappler hands down. Razr is excellent and in my opinion seems quieter than the Grappler on the highway! 295/60/20. Keep up the great videos!

      I agree with you. Got the Maxxis AT’s on my raptor and am very happy with them! Very similar to ridge grapplers but better in every way, IMO. I believe price is better on them as well. I call the Maxxis my sleeper tire cause no one seems to know about them.

I pull my tow hauler, and my tractor and the Ridge Grappler handled everything I gave it. @@mikehd3904 I’m completely convinced that some tires are lemons and I’d imagine that all it takes is just a little bit off on their process to turn a good tire a not so good tire. I also firmly believe that frequent rotation and the way you drive has as much as anything to do with tire life as the quality of the tire. I ended up going with Toyo RT, have about 6000 miles on them and so far, I’m not seeing any noticeable wear on them. One positive note, the road noise is much much less then what I had become accustom to with the nitro tire. Once I hit half life or 20 or maybe 25k miles I get new ones and put used ones on market place and get 600 to 800 bucks to ease the pain of the new ones. And considering that I have 2 f250’s both with 9’6 high wing v plows and 1.5 yard sanders in the back.these tires are awesome I was gonna try the nitto ridge grapplers but not after reading more negative comments from the actual users but high praise from sellers. The only problems I’ve encountered with the bfg’s is balancing issues which is very frustrating. Idk looking at toyos,coopers and falkens now but see myself staying with bfg

    I have 37/12.5/20 Toyo RT’s on my 2021 F250.They have 53,000 miles on them.They have been a great tire.My only complaint is they started getting louder around 30,000 mile.They are about to the end of their life.I ordered Nitto Ridge Grapplers today in the same size.I hope they do as well as my RT’s but quieter.

    The Toyo AT3 and RT Trail are hands down better than the Ridge Grappler. The Ridge Grappler has a bad ass sidewall but that's all. It's TERRIBLE in the mud, snow and any wet conditions on road. Swapped out the Ridge Grappler for the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss and have been extremely impressed. I'll probably go back to the Toyo AT3 after my Baja Boss tires wear out since I spend more time on road now.

      I’m thinking about getting the Baja boss at for my 4Runner. I like the ridge grapplers that are on my Cummins though. They’ve done me well towing my 40’ fifth wheel from state to state. Would you recommend them?

      @@Bananahammock88 The Baja Boss are incredible tires. Far better than the Ridge Grappler. The Ridge Grapplers are the worst tire I've ever run on my Duramax. They are horrible when it rains and in any slick condition. Just an awful tire.

      @@kernmw10 the worst tire I’ve run has been the ko2. I must have slid out turning left at stop lights over 10 times on those tires. I hated them. They would not grip in the rain let alone snow or ice.

    Always watch your videos real deal!! I’m looking at getting a set of 35x12.50r17’s on my leveled cummins on the stock aluminum 17’s. These 2 are my choices. I like how the toyo is 67 pounds each vs nitto 75 pounds each.

    Ridge Grapplers are a good tire for looks, ride and longevity. But aren't very good in snow and slick conditions.

    I switched from ridge grappler to the recon grappler and liked the recon better because it was a lot quieter on the road. Next set I might try the new open country rt2 just to have a comparison of all 3

    I’ve got 63k miles on my Ridge Grapplers. They are starting to get a little cupped out but that’s expected. I would estimate another 10k miles left. Keep them rotated every 7500 miles and they will last! Great tire!

    Ya but how do they last on gravel? Im BC , gravel roads all around, im running nexen mtx 12 ply, seem pretty rugged and good so far and have a great sidewall

      I can attest to the Ridge Grapplers being absolute garbage on gravel and rock lease roads. I have had two sets on two different trucks with the same outcome. Chunks taken out and cuts all over the tire.
