The first time I came out of that tunnel at the beginning of this video, I started tearing up. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. It was just like that kid show on TV, Land of the Lost. If you have never been to Yosemite, do it. Do it at least once in your lifetime!
I knew Yosemite would be beautiful, but once I saw it in person, it was more beautiful than I'd even imagined. Words, and even this great video can't do it justice. I visited in winter which was much quieter than what it was in this videos, I would recommend visiting outside the peak times for sure.
Awesome place. Massive tress. Massive mountains. You don’t realize how big things are in this video until to you see what you thought was a big vehicle next to enormous trees 🌲They just make things look small.
I have a photo of my grandparents on their honeymoon there in 1920--when they appeared to have the park to themselves. It remained virtually empty until the early 1970s, when the back-to-nature movement kicked in.
Wow that so magical Hannah! I wish i could have been there to put it on the youtube channel lol. I caught a proposal in my Arches National Park video i just posted. Thanks for watching and have a relaxing day 👍🏼
Better you than me! I wouldn’t step one foot on that rock if I was paid a million dollars! But congrats to you for making it up there and to the engagement there! 👍
I'm lucky to live within a 3 hour drive of the Tioga Pass Park entrance so have spent a lot of time in the Tuolumne Meadows area of the Park. This is a beautiful high country area of the Park many people never see but is well worth an extra day to explore the area. Back to the Valley, that tunnel view is probably the most spectacular view and most well known views of Yosemite. That drive up to Glacier Point from the Valley is so much worth the time. The views from Glacier Point are some of the best in the Park. I love Yosemite and have visited many times, to me something magical happens during the time I'm in the Park. It's sort of like the Grand Canyon, pictures don't do it justice and everyone should try and visit both at least once in your lifetime.
To everyone who's reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind. May clarity replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill your life. 🙏
Thank you for your kind donation David! I love Jeasus and he loves you too. Let me know if there is anyplace you'd like me to video. Have a relaxing day 👍🏼
Thanks for posting this. I was surprised that you were able to do this, as I had heard that the only way you could get into the park was by bus ride. This has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. I love driving where there are tall evergreens hugging the road on both sides (or, really, any tall green trees hugging the road). It's also amazing driving down a road with massive "rocks" so high that the sky isn't even visible. The valley is quite a bit wider than I had thought, with the two one-way roads being far enough apart that I couldn't see them both at once. Frankly, I was surprised that there were one-way roads. Thanks for doing this. I like how you didn't skip ahead when you got to the place where you had to turn around. Oh, and by the way, while I don't usually like to hear a bunch of chatting during drives like this, I think I might enjoy to hear a narrated (different) version of your trip. Last point: I found that what I've heard virtually all my life is true about what "they" have said about "California stops." LOL
Thanks for watching and subscribing Cris! It really helps grow the channel when you like videos. During summer its very crowded and impossible to get parking so bus is better during peak 3 day weekends for example. Have a relaxing day 👍🏼
I enjoyed so much spending 3 to 4 days in Yosemite by myself with the camcorder, a cabin under Glacier Point or the first time at the entrance at Yosemite hotel (in 1997 and 2001) ! It's amazing and I will always remember this splendid site and all ! I love my memories !
Wow, this is so nostalgic! I haven't seen this in such a long time. I've been to Yoseminte National Park more than 45 years ago. At that time I stayed at Curry Village !!!
Now please listen. First we have to go back in time... In 1977 I spent a year in California as an exchange student. I was lucky enough to have an English teacher named Mr. Wong - a true "supermensch" in every sense of the word. He was - and continues to be to this day - an active athlete: triathlete, rock climber, cross-country skier, surfer, runner etc. etc. When he took me to Yosemite the first time, I had tears in my eyes. That very moment I knew what true ❤ is, no doubt about it, this was ❤ at first sight. It was the beginning of a never-ending romance with Yosemite. Since 1977, I don't know how many times I have visited the Golden State, quite a few times for sure. On every single trip I always keep returning to Yosemite... Of course I haven't seen all gorgeous places around the world. But should I choose one single place only as my favorite spot... it's no brainer: Yosemite, of course. That's my numero uno location in the world. I feel so lucky, thanks to Mr Wong. I am forever grateful to him for being kind enough and inviting me to join him on his trips to Yosemite. He is a man with a huge and a wonderful heart. An extraordinary human being. In general I admire his outlook on life immensely. I am not a religious person - perhaps more spiritual. But Yosemite is a great reminder of man's stature in the universe. When you are surrounded by rock walls almost 1 km high, it makes you small and humble. Compared to just about anything in the universe, we are just a speck of dust. We are so fragile and we exist on earth only for a brief moment. Then we are gone. On the granitic rock formations in Yosemite I feel serene, I feel as if I am in connection with a higher power (whatever it may be), with something that's divine. Yosemite is my church. It's also my heaven and my paradise. Therefore, I fear nothing in Yosemite. When I accidentally came across with this HQ 8K (!) video, I got stoked immediately but -- emotional as well. Thank you so much for sharing this stunnig video. It is better than all of the photos I ever took in Yosemite over the years. The video is a real gem and it means the world to me because it is so beautiful - plus it brings back tons of great memories. Hi I love Yosemite but i'm not that familiar with its point of interest. If someone posted timestamps that would be awesome. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
Even better would be a little road map with a blip showing location. I know this would take away the stunning views so probably don't do that. I'll be there in late April next year and I've just read that most of these views will be inaccessible due to winter weather. I'm hoping a that I might just be there as these roads open.
