Indeed a hidden gem. I second your opinion Joy. To my nose it smells almost like interlude by amouage, albeit much lighter. However a fabulously well wearable fragrance. People who are put off by oud fragrances must try this one as this was is not harsh at all.
I blind bought this in 2015. Its my second most complimented fragrance. Youre spot on about the similar vibe to La Nuit. They're both sexy, classy night/date scents. The performance is not great. 1-3 hours. Maybe 30 minutes of projection. I always took an atomiser with me and resprayed every hour or so. The conpliments ive had whilst wearing this have been the most impressive I have received.
Though I rarely wear it anymore due to the performance issues and opting for Gucci Intense Oud which I completely adore. Just finished my first bottle. Funnily enough I never recieved any feedback good or bad through the whole time Ive owned and worn it. Which is from Feb 2017. Im quite confused by that because I'm in love with the stuff!
Tried this fragrance long time ago and I remember that it didn't "wow" me that much. Gucci Intense Oud, on the other hand, is the best oud in the designer market, in my opinion :P

Great review. This might be my favourite frag and I own 70 + The bitter orange in the opening with that deep woody base…It smells bougie AF. And the dry down is so smooth.

I like the fragrance that are really good and still flying to the radar. I'm glad you're starting to get the recognition you deserve.
I got this Nov 16, 2015. I've only worn it a couple times since but this morning i decided to start using this for the rest of winter/spring. I wore all dark clothing when i put this on this morning for work. I catch waff's of this and its smells pretty nice. Not over powering scent. I sprayed on skin and clothes.

I now that you mentioned that you are happy enough with Armaf Tres Nuit but believe me brother: I have both of them and Tres unit doesn't have even half of the charm and uniqueness of GIT. I think it is more wearable,and more safe/likeable that you decribed:)....i was afraid of oud,but this is very safe and very wearable....beautiful fragrance.
I’m glad this is not a beast, because if it were it would be cloying as hell. As it is, it is a medley of spices. I detect tobacco, but that’s a matter of opinion. An obviously synthetic oud, which I prefer as they filter out all of the undesirable attributes of natural oud. I love this so much, I acquired a backup bottle for A$118. Great price methinks.
Too spicy first 1hr, so u can't spray too much, but you need to spray much because drydown is skin scent. Here is the thing, if you spray like 4 Spitz, don't go out, wait 1 hrs ,then it's a great scent

I was interested in this fragrance for some time as I love oud fragrances but due to so many bad reviews I put it off until I saw your review as I love YSL M7 and D&G Royal Night. So in the end you convinced me and boy oh boy this juice is so amazing and special it is right up there against the best for me and I’m never not going to have this in my fragrance collection as it’s that special! This juice is underrated for sure in my opinion the bad reviews just show how everyone’s skin and opinions differs and I had this last on my Skin 6hrs plus and it makes me feel so special so I thank you for your review and honesty on another top review! Solid review. I got a sample of this a few weeks ago due to the comparisons to TF Oud Wood. Overall it's a well composed scent and it's kinda similar to TF Oud Wood, but there is a chocolate/cocoa note in the beginning that I really didn't enjoy. Unfortunately, its not for me. A shame since I was hoping to get a clone for TF Oud Wood.
... so, one year later ... I´m curious. What did you go for? I dont know about Oud Noir yet (but soon), but M7 is not a very oudy Oud IMO - lots of other things going on there; dense, a bit funky, reminds me of 80ies power houses If you want to check out, what Oud is all about, there´s one very affordable option: Banana Republic 17 Oud Mosaic This is VERY close to the pure Oud oil, I got from an egyptian friend of mine. Gives you a very good idea about real Oud (although it sure is synthetic, considering the price)
Dont pick up these bottles with cap! Big no no. Haha I grabbed my 200ml pour homme bottle and the cap was in my hand but the bottle fell down...thanks God I have hardwood floors or that would be a disaster.
If you're upgrading your game ))) .. just go for niche.. )) enough is enough.., Joy.., time to go further.., presenting average colognes as niche... Parfums de Marly, Nasomatto, Mancera, Byredo, TF private blend, Jo Malone.. and so on..
upgrading for me sometimes can be in designer also...as i believe price or brands dont determine quality...many niche frags disappointed me upon testing...couldnt justify the prices...if i buy the niche line id go for the ones that are worthy . but i have a few designer gems still couldnt find yet...and my respect for designers will always stay as i started my journey with them.some niche houses still cant give me a fahrenheit or dhi :) i am gonna finish my creeds and then amouage ...then may be tf private line....man i wish i had all the cash in the world ;)
A good quality juice is a good quality juice, simple. Niche doesn't always equal 'the best'. Smelling good is just that-smelling good. Love your reviews, it's actually because of you I started to explore middle Eastern brands. I have spent hundreds in Harvey Nichols thinking niche is the best always, then I bought shuhrah by rasasi, yes it's synthetic but damn I get much more compliments with that rather than my £200 memo. Today i tried this at Hudson Bay Toronto location, believe me it doesn't last even for 30 minutes. Most terrible Versace perfume i've ever tried. Definitely not a buying worth.

I get la nuit vibes too. It reminded me of ck obsession immediately but updated higher quality less powdery. Love it agree with everything you said
