- I show you how fix an Apple iPad Pro 11-inch 1st gen (2018), 2nd gen (2020) or the 3rd gen (2021) that is stuck on a black screen even though you know the iPad is on. Its just the screen will not turn on. Make sure to try each step and if no go the first then try each step again up to 7 times. @@Kei-ij3lg remember whenever you drop a device you’re not just damaging the screen or the housing. You’re also damaging the internal components.
For instance, you dropping the device once could literally destroy the light behind the screen, therefore not letting it turn on or something else

@@Kei-ij3lgif its dropped you need to check with apple,if its broken then that means your gonna have to use ur warranty or if u had it for more than one year then your gonna have to buy a new one
Bro my iPad was on 70% I left it for 10 min when I came back it did not turn on it was stuck… so I decided to leave it overnight as that has always worked for me… but it didn’t. So this morning I decided to find a video and I literally thought like “Oh crap! I have to take this to get fixed! It’s not working…” But I tried spamming the volume and off buttons, option 2, which is 1:27 then tap the up and down volume buttons and pressed the off button for 15-20sec and it turned on! So if it seems like it’s not working for you, it most likely because you’re not holding the power button long enough. Thanks so much!!! You’re a life saver!

I have to agree with the other comments that say, “You are a lifesaver!” My iPad Pro’s battery was low, it was put to charge and didn’t turn on after several hours of charging. Still didn’t turn on after charging overnight. Was thinking if I needed a new device, was wondering if it was still under warranty. Then I came across your video and committed to trying all the methods. I got to “tapping method” and IT WORKED!!! Thank you so much for your video. Now I’m going to back it up…just in case.

Just left the Apple Store where they told me it would cost me $750 to get an out of warranty replacement but that I truly should just buy a brand new one with warranty. Turns out all I had to do was tap around the screen as you demonstrated. Wow!

Thank you so much for the tip! I contacted Apple customer support this morning as I was having this issue. The instruction they gave was not clear at all and was told that I need to make an appointment to have it repaired in-store. Bruh the tap method actually freaking worked 😅 I was going to go pay someone to take mine apart but I saw your video and thought I might give it a shot and it actually worked. Also pressing the top volume then the bottom and holding the power button helped a lot so much. Thanks for the video! ❤
Just came here to say - thank you. I started rolling my eyes when you said smack the iPad. But my iPad actually came to life before that, when I gently pressed down on the screen. My iPad had gone black for a full 48 hours. No idea which part helped. But I had lost hope. Thank you:)
Option 2 worked! I didn’t know what was wrong, my iPad wouldn’t turn on so I put it on the charger but nothing happened. I got anxious then I reverted to RUclips and found your video, Thank You!

Thanks mate, this happened to me, most likely due to the newest Update 16.1.1, looks like it was a bug that was caused alongside with the case that puts the iPad to sleep, it wasn't responding at all

1 year later and your video helped me with my IPad Pro 12.9”. I forgot it in my truck where it got quite hot today. After trying a few things with the buttons I put it in the freezer while I searched for RUclips videos on how to fix it. After watching your video, I tried the buttons again, tapping the front and back but neither of these helped. My screen came on almost immediately after I started the massage method. Thank you. YES!!! The first fix (up volume/down volume/hold power) worked!!! This was the first time is happened to me so I was terrified it somehow had just died (even though it is only 1 year old!).

My god, I can not believe this. My iPad was dead for months. It had black and white lines on the screen. The display was working but you could not see anything and the simple tapping on all the sided turned it on. You are a life saver man. :) :) :)

Thank you! 1st method worked for me. Honestly i thought it did not work, because I held it down for decently long and let go. I then kept watching your video and then I saw the Apple logo turn on and my goodness! My daughter will be happy when she gets home seeing her Ipad Pro up and running. I’m subscribed now!
