Excellent interpretation and execution. Selected for an ongoing playlist project - Beethoven survey in order of opus number. To my untrained ears, this successfully brings off the large scale and power of the work while maintaining a mood that is more restrained than often in Beethoven. I don't often attempt analysis, but usually struggle with listening to this elusive work in other performances - tends to sound too severe and dramatic on the one hand or dull and lifeless on the other. This is making the whole work meaningful to me in a fresh way. Thank you.
