I'm a bit shocked to see eowyn not getting at least an A, I don't think we got a better human commander, she's the only one doing the token thing (and those are amazing tokens) AND the card advantage you need to keep the aggression going. Activating the two effects the turn she comes out feels amazing, but you can still have one of the two quite easily and do the double activation the following turn. She's aggro, she's value and puts a lot of pressure on your opponents. She's amazing and I can't wait to upgrade the precon with as many cool things as possible :D
She is very very good. We just didn’t see her as a win the game slam dunk A right away. Still an excellent commander that we would definitely build around.
Aragorn - A The precon focuses more on human tribal than being the monarch. In a deck built around being the monarch this card would be very good. Honestly I think its the best monarch tribal commander there is. Beregond - C There is much better human tribal commanders in white. This is a great 99 card. Boromir - C This card is a great digging card for your humans and as such is a great card in the 99, but not a great commander. Denethor - F Not a good card. I took it out of my precon. It just is not useful enough. Much much better monarch commanders. Eomer - A I really like this card sure you have to build up a board before you use this commander however a really nice way to abuse his ability is lots of blink abilities. and double etb effects. Eowyn - A Actually quite a nice human tribal commander. The commander makes multiple tokens of the supported tribe and draws you cards when you have a nice board. Faramir- C This card just screams a support card but not one you want helming your deck. Gilraen - B I really like this card. Great way to reuse etb triggers. I really wish it was just one more color to play around with them even more. Gimli - C I just don't see this being a good commander. Once gimli is out and you get to your next turn he will probably be blocked and die. Double strike is nice but I wish it had some sort of evasion like menace or trample.
