@@jmaynez2332 Megadeth has always been about the riffs and composition, hes openly admitted time and time again hes not a good vocalist. However if you go back to 90s Megadeth you can really hear how underrated he was as vocalist in his genre.

I was a huge fan of megadeth when I was younger lost track of them in the 90s , in 2017 , my mom died, so went home to clean out the house and came across all my records and tapes from the 80s , it brought me back to loving Metal again. Even finding new bands to me like Trivium, In flames , KSE . Thanks Mom , love you !!!

I’d seen so many shows where Mustain’s voice seemed shot, only to find out he had throat cancer. Then he beats the cancer, records a kickass new record, and comes back sounding like this. Dude. Legend.

Ill always love Dave hes been my hero since i was about 12 lol. Ive known people thats had throat cancer an most of them struggle just to get words out! For him to be singing is really an impressive thing no matter what all the haters say , ill be a fan till the day i die.
Dirk is such a strong drummer, this line up and live show demonstrates just how good these guys are

God bless him, he's an amazing talent! I've realized after long time that Megadeth is over time better than Metallica even if they don't make as much money, they deliver much better performance and quality. Metallica lost something from their spirit over time, but Megadeth still has it mainly thx to Dave!

Getting kicked out of Metallica and seeing them succeed while he was still grinding. Legal disputes. Just to name a few

Mustaine is simply indestructible. How many times has he cheated death or overcome career-ending injuries? I lost count 20 years ago, and yet, here he is, still rocking out without missing a beat. You have to respect that.

Listening to his voice here, and the single they just released, I highly suspect the Cancer was affecting his voice on Dystopia, which makes is *that* much more badass!
Yeah he sounds way better here than anything I've heard in like 20 years. You can't really understand him or anything but his vocals have been much worse to the point that they're distracting and hard to listen to.

Absolutely. There was a specific moment where he was playing with his eyes closed and you could tell he was trying as hard as he could to get the vocals out. That kind of fighting spirit is metal as fuck.
That extended guitar solo in Sweating Bullets and Holy Wars must have been crazy to witness live. Kiko is a monster.
Kiko is undoubtedly the best fit for Megadeth, such an awesome guitarist. Dave is a living legend and Megadeth is still strong 💪

He sounds better than he has in a decade for sure. They were tuning so long the songs weren't even recognizable since like 2014. This at least sound like 2007 Dave. Hopefully he can sustain it if for some years to come. \m/

I'm happy because after throat cancer Dave's voice sounds great. It's a voice that many people criticize, but we Megadeth fans love it. Certainly a great rock voice in that tradition of raspy voices like Bryan Johnson and Lemmy.
I don't care who criticizes it the anger in his voice is just completely awesome, sounds a lot better than James Hetfield yep I said it.....

They tuned down the instruments since Super Collider I think, so now he is singing with one/two(don't know exactly how many) semitones below his voice on the record. That allows him to hit the higher notes in the lower range and also sound even more badass I think haha

James Lomenzo is a great addition. Aside from his excellence bass playing, I always like his backing vocals even from his White Lion days.

Dave's vocals were shot by 2010, but this performance sounds so much better than anything around '10-20. The new record might be killer!
It's pretty good.
I seen them 8 times since 2010 and everytime has been spot on with his vocals. A lot of the recording are bad audio quality and the mic not dialed in properly,and when you do this many shows and at his age you will have nights where your not as good. But to say his voice is shot is not true , just not the same as when he was in his 20s.
@@Hunter14 While I'll concede that those audios ain't the best, there's no way he sounds anywhere near as good as the Youthanasia tour, which was the only time I see them. You can hear the dif tween Warchest Wembley '90 and Rude Awakening, then That 1 Night. And, his register is dif. tween U.A. and Endgame recordings with Andy Sneap. He sounds crap on Endgame - awful on Super Shit Collider. RIP Live isn't good. That's just life.

It just came about right after Marty left, and i think a lot of people didn't love that album. There are a couple good songs on there, but i don't think Al Pitrelli really fit the band imo. Have to agree. Dread is a solid song.

Those albums that he was on before Elfson came back, he was awesome on those too. Glad he's back, it made sense for Mustaine to give him his position back.
It won't be long before Dave calls Kiko back, the guy brought the shine and energy to the band, his unique way of playing and his compositions, not a mere note player... Kiko is the best guitar Megadeth had by far, man Brazilian.

That’s not a very high bar honestly. Megadeth blows the other bands in the Big four out of the frigging water. All the bands in the big four are there due to popularity, not quality. If it were quality based, Megadeth would be the only ones remaining, and Exodus along with Testament would take Metallica/Slayer’s spot. I’m not sure who would take Anthrax’s spot. I’m not that much into thrash. I’m more of a prog guy.

So satisfying seeing him singing better now and just feeling better, awesome performance and so glad to listen to dread and fugitive mind live.
I've not seen any other Megadeth drummers hype up Holy wars like this guy, you could see the rest of band wanted to play for ever. BRILLIANT drummer. In fact you could only just about make the riff out at the start till the drummer came in. Watch Holywars again, I did.
Probably my most beloved band ever. Still there after all this years! Gratefull thanks Mister Mustaine.
I am a Megadeth fan for a long time and I have seen most of their live material, but man this has got to be their best live. Dave is just feeling great, his voice sounds better than ever and the rest of the band just ace it! The set list is also REALLY GOOD!
It's amazing that he still giving OK shows when he is that old and had throat cancer not much time ago

His vocals for moments are pretty good tho

Except the fact they are heavily down tuned and holy wars is pretty bad

I love all their albums in their own ways, but I like the fact that they are playing many songs from the 'Marty-Menza-Ellefson' era. Kiko respects the solos of Marty and plays them really well too. What a legendary performance by a legendary band.
