- In this second E-Lecture about X-bar syntax which builds upon the E-Lectures "Constituent tests", "Constituent analysis - first steps", and "More on Constituents I", Prof. Handke discusses the internal structure of the constituents IP and CP, and introduces some syntactic problems that eventually led to today's version of this phrase structure system.
Thank you for explaining very clearly what the Spec of a CP is and why it's always empty in English trees - I always wondered about that.
You are just a great great teacher, I was desperate with these concepts and know I'm starting to understand. Thanks a lot!

I really enjoyed the lesson. Thank you, Prof

Your videos are Very helpful. Thanks a lot.!
You are brilliant!
Brilliant . Thank you.
Hello, how do we diagram infinitive sentences for instance: I want to clean the house tomorrow. Or sentences like this: We are expecting him to come next year.
Thank you in advance.
I wonder if "of work" in "She grew tired of work" is a constituent.
O sea, cuando en una oración haya un auxiliar, ¿es inflectional phrase? ¿Siempre?
maraming salamat po
could you do DP? thank for the vídeos. loving tour syntax vídeos.
As I said from 10:13 onw. this will be dealt with in further E-Lectures, i.e. "More on Constituents III" and the respective Video Scribes.
If you ever have the time, please include what to do with conjunctions. I saw some people do a third node (not binary) for a conjunction. Is that the only case where we have three branches? Someone wrote something about an (&P)
An excellent presentation on sentence structure applying x_bar theory.
