  • 365nm and 395nm difference between these UV flashlights. The electromagnetic spectrum of ultraviolet radiation (UVR), defined most broadly as 10-400 nanometers, can be subdivided into a number of ranges recommended by the ISO standard ISO-21348:
    Name Abbreviation Wavelength
    (nm)
    Ultraviolet A UVA 315-400
    Ultraviolet B UVB 280-315
    Ultraviolet C UVC 100-280

Thank you for this. Seeing the 3 comparisons side by side was incredibly helpful 🎉

365nm definitely the way to go

Not always...depends upon what you want to use it for.
No good for the old paper UK banknotes & others too, from what I've heard. Also, definitely not so good with Uranium glass in my experience, in that there's less reactivity. Weaker Uranium content ceramics, may have undetectable fluorescence.

What i see for sure is that the modern single Q5 led is better than a group of small led.
    Even for body fluids.
The other one looks too dark to me.

      @@OliverTube No, it isn't.
I was looking for a video to give to others to explain the basic differences but it isn't this one.
All this shows is someone waving lights about at bank notes and some numbers that may or may not make sense and also not some numbers, just to help with the confusion.
It isn't self explanatory because it's maker has made a sloppy job of it.

@@rolandkee335 ''No, it isn't'' is, by your very comment, a compelling QED combo.
IF it had been ''self explanatory'', your input would be a superfluous repetition.
It DOESN'T show the differences the title suggests and then ONLY shows any ''difference'' IF you're waving UV LEDs at [certain] bank notes ... which is, granted, a common reason for people getting one, but not the only one amongst several common and numerous regardless.
@RolandKee, your effort should at least make interpretation of what's shown here a canyon closer to comprehension for those who follow us.
No fuses blown or gonna be blown. I felt it only kind to others to state the obvious, to me, which might not be immediately to them and spare folks with less or no insight a lot of potential vexation.

@@rolandkee335 dear lord. I can't believe even after you took the time to physically type out, in words what this video showed, the guy still has a temper tantrum. Even my 70yr old mother who has a hard time with electronics understood easily from this video the difference in visible lighting between the two. We needed to find the one with less visible light because the one we got (thought more lights equals better result) wasn't showing cat urine effectively for her because the visible light was overpowering the results. Now that we've got the one that throws less lighting, she's able to find the areas of the floor around the litterbox easily.
Kind of scary to think we share the planet with such angry, rage inducing people eh? Lol
