Thank you for sharing your sewing studio and vintage sewing machines with us. So amazing that you built that! And I also enjoyed seeing your other hobbies, Wow! A suggestion for a place to hang your petticoats and other makes- put in a pole near your ceiling, in the corner by the empty frame over the window. That might a good place go vertical. Oh, and I love your view!
You are a lady of many many talents. I love your style and your sewing studio is an absolute dream come true! Thank you for the tour. I have started collecting and conserving and refurbishing old Singer machines. Yours is the first white featherweight I’ve seen. I loved seeing your vintage machines....they are so much sturdier than anything new you can buy. I made a couple of Housewife’s and gave one to my friend who quilts. I look forward to your next video.
Thank you so much! I'd never seen a white one before either, it is interesting, it has a slight green tint to it. My next video may be a while out, I am super busy with a history of photography class I'm in, sewing a giant project on a deadline, and then also work, so I have to cut something temporarily and videos take so long to edit. But I will be back!
I got way too excited when I saw your Soils textbook lol One of my favourite classes! Do you think you'll do a video on making a bow and arrow like the ones you've made?? I'd love to see that! Thank you for the tour and the construction video. I've helped my dad around the house a lot building and updating things, but we've run out of big projects like this so it was really nice to feel that again. Thanks again!
😂 soil was such a hard class, but interesting. I am not planning a bow making video, I made it in a workshop and didn't actually get it totally finished. It is very close, but I really don't know what I am doing! I am glad you also enjoyed the construction video, building things is so much fun.
Thank you for the studio tour of your awesome space🙏🏼😄 I laughed when I saw that you have the same footwear preference😂 I go from my Bean boots to Shepard shearling slippers of the exact same model. Love from Stockholm Sweden 🇸🇪
Good question. I forgot to mention it in my making of video but my dad painted it with a sealant while I took a month off for working two jobs. It doesn't protect it as much as siding but is a heck of a lot more affordable! I need to put trim and caulking around the windows still.
This was such a great video! I'm a sucker for seeing other people's sewing rooms. That double dresser sewing table is the way to go! Also, your Wall Drug sticker is awesome. :)
Hello Victoria, I love your studio, it turnout beautiful! It was nice to see some of your antique film negatives! Is the new John Coffer's book as good as his older copy? Is it type or handwritten? Your sewing studio looks like a place fall of good energy!! simply love it!
Thank you! I really need to put those negatives in some archival sheets, those photo paper boxes aren't archival but I never thought of it till now! The newer version of The Doer's Guide has a lot more info, and some updated information as well. It is typed but still with hand drawn drawings. The older one was handwritten and then photocopied.
@@VictorianMusicMaestro No, I haven't been out there since the jamboree in 2017. I wish I could! I did the all-around wet plate workshop back in 2010 and then a couple others a few years later. I don't go anywhere right now.
I am the same way! Just saying home because of the covid 19 virus! It is nice you are keeping busy with your sewing! Hope you keep posting your interesting videos! I would love to see your tintype photos one day! Hope you have a great week! Thanks you for writing back to me!
Thank you for sharing your lovely studio space.
Love the space
Thanks! It is great to work in.
Your studio looks peaceful & a perfect place to create The cutting/drafting table is wonderful, especially the butcher block top.

What a dream studio😍😍
Thanks! I have been enjoying it.
Such a cool sewing room and loved your other video of building it. Amazing photo from Benbecula, I'm on Isle of Lewis :D
So cool! I have not been to Lewis yet, but I really want to walk the whole Hebridean Way and look forward to seeing Lewis.
There is nothing better than a well organized sewing room. Thank you for sharing!
You are so welcome!
What a wonderful sewing space! You built it which is amazing.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful studio. May I ask what ikea dresser and countertop you have?
Thanks! The dressers are from the Hemnes line and the countertop is the island size.
Love the sewing room and the chickens.
Thank you!
Happy Thanksgiving Victoria!
Thanks, it was nice and quiet. Happy holidays to you too!
Victoria, It is nice of you to say hello! Hope you have a great afternoon!
Love your studio, and the chickens!
Thanks so much! I love the chickens, they are so fun to watch.
Really enjoyed the tour!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love your studio 🥰
Thanks so much 😊
Don't forget a fire alarm that sends notifications to your phone. love the work
Good idea! Although I never have the sound on on my phone so I worry I would get a text hours too late! But I will look into it anyways.

You are so welcome! I love that we have the same footwear, they are so practical!
What a great space to work in! What are you going to do with the outside? Are you going to cover the building in siding or something?

Toll👏🏻👏🏻🌸Sie sind sehr sympathisch 🌸🌸🌸
🦔🍂❤️
I’m hoping to have a sewing room off my own in the garden one day. I love yours.
Thank you. I really hope you get yours some day soon!
This was such a great video! I'm a sucker for seeing other people's sewing rooms. That double dresser sewing table is the way to go! Also, your Wall Drug sticker is awesome. :)
Thanks! I love tours of people's places too. And Wall Drug!
Great tour thanks. I can't believe you just glossed over making a medival long bow and arrow! Is there anything you can't do?
There are lots of things I can't do! Mostly related to music. I love learning new things and taking workshops on how to do things when I can.

Hello Victoria, Did you take the John Coffer tintype course this month? I think you mention it in one of my posting to you on photography videos.
