just bought this watch today the solar version as well! im tired of the apple watch battery! lol

This lasts for ages when you are not gps connected, and even then goes on for a while. It's a good bit of kit. Get the Garmin connect and Garmin Explore apps.......and you can log in online also to plan routes and see your hikes etc !! Cheers !
