Goodwin round 2, 2022 vs Gold Coast when asked about not scoring goals in the last qtr: (Paraphrasing): “We had a good lead, we no longer needed to score, just defend” It is no wonder we look so unfit and little wonder why we don’t score or hardly blow teams away. We have a coach who is absolutely running the players into the ground over the last 3 years. You can’t play such a brutal, defensive style and expect to be fit to challenge come July, August and September. The methodology is just so wrong!
As a fan, i'm not proud of the mfc. the effort against Collingwood was gutless, the 2 freo losses were embarassing and the wce loss wasn't any better. We haven't played Kynan Brown more than 5 mins, Petty is a defender who simply never kicks goals in the fwd line. And then despite being in a clear rebuild phase I hear that we want to kiss our future away by bringing in a 28 yr old Dan Houston. Wake up guys and hit the draft HARD
Dan Houston is an elite ball user. Would rather have him than risk a kid that may not turn out well. Houston with Salem and maybe Rivers returned to half back to move the ball forward with clinical precision would be a major improvement of Melbourne's ball movement and method off half back. Also agree with everything else you said.
@@jfh142857 cool, so we can come 11th instead of 13th? Sure, Houston would be good for 3 years or the recruiters can do their damn jobs and pick up a player that will help us for 10-15 years. A diabolical decision to chase Houston and I'll be cutting up my membership if they do this.
@@MrMooremelody What do ya reckon we need? As far as I know, we have 1 first round pick and no trade bait. 1 kid isn't going to solve too many of the teams problems.
Every other club appears to have a good fast, team oriented game plan. The Dees have the slowest, hard to watch, boring style which relies on defence, tackling & stoppages. This worked in 2021, but let’s get with it guys. This style is old hat & definitely not working in 2024. Just check the stats.
6:10 is absolute word salad. Why does Simon have to hide behind platitudes rather than answering a question directly? Was the effort vs the Bulldogs good enough to match the meaningless words about pride that don't reflect what we're seeing from the team?
It would be good to hear the questions.
i use CC...
Play the young guys the future looks good
Not able to hear the questions.

You're mad if you think bringing in Houston Is a bad idea. I agree with you on the other points though

@@jfh142857 We need about 3 young mids, 1 backup ruckman, a key forward and a key back
Playing in September is highly overrated when you lose ignominiously.
Does the coaching staff or the fitness team feel that way? Because they haven’t been fit since 2021 and had the same dog shit game plan since 2022.
You must watch the footy with you're eyes closed...
