He continually confuses the Y2K super bike with the 420 RR superbike. IMO the Y2K (the Jay Leno bike) looks cobbled together, whereas the 420 RR has a very finished and purposeful look. I'm a bit prejudiced as I own 420 RR #2. It's the one shown at 2:30 except without the frontal faring in that picture.
No one has dared take it to 270mph yet LOL, not sure the fastest they have been but I would have to assume they have been over 200 at somepoint with some owner
All theoretical. The faster you go, the more air it gets. The more air it gets, the faster it goes. Once were all around Leno's black Y2K, at The Rock Store in Malibu. He get's ready to leave, and tells (Jay Leno voice) everybody: "Back up! This thing will light your pants on🔥fire."
and then you hit the first STOP sign.... and a Honda civic PULLS away from you as this thing drops to 0 mph and tries to light up engine again. still CRAZY cool somehow, but how crazy is a ROAD LEGAL 310 mph+ Chiron edition MPH 300-310 mph? WTF? in a non jet engine car. vehicle makers are getting crazy. 500 kph.

Has anyone reached the top speed perched atop this monster, or is that just its projected top speed?

I think reaching the top speed is practically impossible, as the wind blast would simply push the rider off the bike.
