I still have my Xperia z2 compact with me (snapdragon 800 for 100$) and still loving it! Gonna upgrade to Xperia xz1 or xz1 compact in the future.

The back is polycarbonate a.k.a plastic! Lol
for a high end phone with waterproof, they could've added wireless charging. would've likeed metal or glass back than this cheap plastic! Removed headphone jack for no good reason, when they've always bragged about audio fidelity in their phones! lol nice SONY!
Plastic doesn't necessarily mean cheap, remember the good old Lumia 920, N9?

Undoubtedly, the best phone of 2018 so far. Have been waiting for a company to put 18:9 in an actual usable compact form factor where it won't make the phone obscenely tall. Except for the fact that it doesn't have a headphone jack, this is a compact beast.

In Romania it's currently 490 USD. I say it's good value for that price.
bought this yesterday. Only cost me about 450. They supply you with a small dongle for the headphones so i don't really mind the removal of the headphone jack.

Sony makes fairly sturdy smart phones. My Sony xperia z5 compact is still up and running, with nothing but two tiny chips on the edge... and only just the other day I had to throw out my first ever Sony Xperia S white (The first Sony phone without ericsson - 😓) and my Nokia N900... so each to their own...
it's ok it's out of this kinda plastic, better than the glass! But I don't like this 18:9 ar of the screen, it's a pity the mobile industry went this way. Sony had to leave a normal lil screen for the compact version! And leave the fp button on the side, it was so cool.

Will wait for samsungs compact phone next year the galaxy S10 sadly gutted they made this phone so chunky and heavy for no reason it's heavier than the s9.

That's why USB-C to 3.5mm jack adapters are adapters, not DACs
They have LDAC for better wireless audio but yes I prefer to have the HJ.
