I really enjoyed practising to this. I want to mention "mute striking", or anyway bending the reed, with the thumb from behind adds a range of muted notes, and raising the lip to the striker allows another kind of muting.
hey Matteo! thanks for watching! Are you able to roll your R's? I know that many are not able to, and some can get it with practice. If you can roll your R's, you might try adjusting the seal of your lips on the inner frame, it's very important to have the seal as tight as you can so all the air is escaping through the reed. Hope that helps! let me know how that goes.
I just dont understand how you can pluck both ways. Any harp I try it just stops for a second when I pluck it the second time and it sounds pretty bad. =D
A lot of side effects still no melody. I’ve heard people play melodies on these things. You don’t know what you’re doing. Yet, somehow you have the nerve to act like you do.
Howdy Richard, I'm sad to hear my videos disappointed you. I was just trying to share what I knew--which I admit is still very amateur when it comes to playing the jaw harp. Anyway, I wish you luck on your learning journey.

You are a musical genius!
Awesome stuff! I shared this on "Pluckin my life away" FB page.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! I'll have to check out your FB page
Good stuff!! I got to learn more!
Good stuff man! I see Richard Stubbs has a troll account down below, there is absolutely nothing on his channel.
Your videos are awesome 🖖
It's several days that I'm trying to figure out the "rolling tongue" technique but really I'm not getting that effect

@@SoundAdventurer Thanks for the quick reply mate! I'll try to see if I can get it :)
I ve started to practice it a bit but no results yet... maybe I didn't get the concept of rolling the tongue
Yes I can roll my R, and today I managed few times to make a weak effect.
I'll try to follow your tips and see if I can improve.
Thank you!
I bought my jaw harp just because of rayman origins, thank you so much.
Bought mine because of red dead redemption 2
Same! It arrived Yesterday!
@@manueldelbono202 Thats awesome!
i can roll my r's but when i try with the jaw harp everything just slams against my teeth and makes me want to pull them all out
In Rayman! I wonder what was that sound... Where I can get the bass one? But if is lower cost, like under 35 $

This one! It cost about $30, and it's amazing. This is what I use in this video
@@SoundAdventurer dang sold out

I think it definitely depends on what kind of harps you have. Another good thing to check is your grip, make sure you're not collapsing the frame.
when im rolling my tongue it makes more noise than the actual jaw harp
