***** Agreed! The only two things I hate about it are how small it's magazine is compared to the other energy weapons, and how the actual plasma projectile moves slower than a bullet, so you can't really use it effectively at long distances.
Got back on Fallout 3 yesterday after about 2 years and picked up an old save file. I had that Lincoln quest active and decided to complete it. I chose to sell the shit to Washington. I'd heard the dialogue about 15 times and decided to spam through it. I sold Lincoln's Repeater. I saved afterwards. FML...
+Maoux551 There's actually an upgraded version of the BB Gun (Red Racer? or something) that deals higher (though still quite low) damage than the regular BB gun, but extremely high critical damage, making it a pretty good weapon for those with very high critical chances (and almost useless for everyone else).
Jingzwei Shock Sword is incredible.. But nearly takes the challenge away from combat. Paired with stealth armor, you have deadly sneak attacks.. Surprised this one wasn't mentioned.
Aha! Mathematic rekage I follow ya. Personally I am more tactical, facing some big bad mutherhubbard mutant behemoth I paralyze palm the sucker and then proceed to giving it an aggressive haircut with Jack the ripper
The Chinese AR can actually be found easily at earlier levels from Lucas Simms in megaton, all you have to do is tell him that the guy in the suit wanted to blow up the bomb, he will try to kill him but fail and you can take the rifle from his corpse without losing karma
I mainly use the combat shotgun. I just run up close as fast as I can and blow their heads clean off!!!!!!!!! I love the sniper rifle but ammo too limited! The scoped 44 magnum works almost as well though.
A funny story about grenades. I was headed toward one of the drive ins when some raiders started firing at me. I ducked behind a wall and tossed over a grenade. This being a drive in, there were cars. The explosion was much, MUCH bigger than I had anticipated. I never found my loot, but I left satisfied.
TESLA CANNON TESLA CANNON WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS THE ULTIMATE WEAPON!!!!!!!! Incredibly high damage Easy Ammo Incredible Accuracy & AOE damage Only defect is it is a near endgame weapon
A3-21 (Harkness's Plasma Rifle) By far the best, works great with the Commando perk and has enough range in VATS to be able to headshot any relevant target with ease. Why bother using a weapon for enemies like 100m away when you can just take a realistic cover-to-cover approach.
+Socomnick I'd like to, too. As a moron, I would kill these motherfuckers for their weapons and equipment, as I would kill every single fucker of this land. Bitch one day, bitch forever, as we say.
puts chinese sword in but not the shiskebab, puts sniper rifle in and not the reservist's rifle. flat out ignores vengeance. puts combat shotgun in instead of the terrible shotgun. Puts in the alien blaster and not firelance. Leaves out the wazer wifle and A3-21's plasma rifle. puts the chinese assault riffle in and not the xuanlong, infiltrator or perforator. need i say more?
I just can't like NV as much when it's story is just shit, you can literally complete your objective of killing benny within 15 minutes of playing the game and the rest of the game is just shit that other people want you to do, the whole game is side quests, they're not bad sidequests by all means but they're still side quests. While Fallout 3 has a story line that gets you involved with your character and makes you want to strive to be the best player you can be so you can save DC and find your dad as well, all while the main quest is tied with the most important locations in the wasteland and intelligently introduces you to new ways to survive and cope with all that's happening, when you leave vault 101 it feels like you just completed an insane task, which you did. You escaped one of the only intact and living vaults which is notorious for being far from escapable. But when you leave doc Mitchell's house it feels like you literally just left a fucking house. I mean you could compare the two games just from that part alone and it's pretty obvious which one is superior in design. It's fine that you like NV more but at the same time there's no way in hell you can tell me it has a better story.
Jack (The Ripper) hits thirty times a second, with each hit being able to do over 60 critical damage with sneak attack criticals and appropriate skills and perks. The result is that even Fawkes gets reduced to gooey mincemeat near instantaneously should you sneak up on him and open up with Jack. I quite like it.
railway rifle with its satisfy train engine sound effect and a .44 magnum carried me most of my play-through,and finding the scoped Blackhawk as a reward for Agatha's quest. It quickly became my trusted side arm.
No Earth energy weps? I mean you gotta love the plasma rifle and Gatling laser. Also what about the hard hitting single shot ones like the Gauss rifle and Tesla cannon?
+uselesscrapful they're a lot more useful if you have high explosives skill, otherwise all they'll really do is cripple a limb or two, if they don't roll/bounce a mile away form the target. I have sorta midrange skill so I only carry a few frags and pulse grenades around, just in case.
MrMarkedMantis Yeah I bet. I've been thinking of starting a new game on Fallout 3 and making a stealthy character that's good at unarmed and has a deathclaw gauntlet. I know you're mainly supposed to use guns but just running up and clobbering someone with melee or unarmed feels really satisfying, lol.
+vidoxi yeah stealth is awesome but in fallout four with the supposed verticality to the map will help me live my dream of having a fast sniper constantly jumping to different rooftops and floors of buildings shooting people on the ground while they shoot and wonder where I am. (:
MrMarkedMantis That's cool, I didn't know that! I wonder if that'll nerf unarmed and melee a bit though, if that's the more advantageous choice. Either way maybe it'll encourage me to rely on guns a bit more.
If DLC is included, the Alien Disentegrator is definitely a choice. In the Mothership Zeta DLC, nearly every alien has ammo for this gun, and everyone found is at little to no damage. Another plus, is that it is a powerful mid-range weapon.
+Jonah Price in Fallout 3 that weapon one shotted so many enemies, serprized it was nerfed in New Vegas-probably for balancing reasons. Bethesda and Obsidian make their RPGs quite differently.
So happy to see the lincoln's repeater on number 1, never liked weird laser weapons and stuff, it's precise, it's simple, and it gets the job done with style, it is my favourite weapon along with the standard early game hunting rifle.
+Maciek Pieniążek you do realize the fatman's main weakness in the list order was the rarity of its ammo? make an overkill weapon with super rare ammo more of an overkill at 700% of ammo expenditure....
+TheHandinabag You can buy mini-nukes from the Gun Runners in New Vegas. If you have the Gun Runners Arsenal DLC, you can buy different types of mini-nuke.
+Maciek Pieniążek dude wrong game the MIRV is in new vegas not 3 and well it's a waste most things in vegas die to one mini nuke only worth it for legendary creatures
+RubberGently Yup, ammo is insanely common BUT... I am fairly sure that it has low crit chance, quick to break, and different types of items deal less or more damage. But i could be wrong about all of that
+RubberGently The Rock-IT-Launcher is my favourite weapon in Fallout 3. You can kill your enemies with teddy bears, plungers, human skulls, dollar bills (dollars are also weightless, so you can carry tons of them without encumberment) or just about anything else you find lying around. Free, easy-to-come-by ammo. Its durability is only slightly lower than most weapons. Heavier ammo can cause more knockback to targets. I love it.
The Sniper Rifle in Fallout 3 actually didn't have a swaying scope. It would only sway if you didn't have 100 points into the Small Guns skill, which is very unlikely if you're using one to begin with. And it's like how the Gauss Rifle scope doesn't sway if you have 100 in Energy Weapons
Aaahh... New Vegas... for a couple of years I didnt knew if it was worth playing it.... But I already spend double the time on New Vegas than on Fallout 3
The Gatling Laser is a really good heavy weapon for close combat. 1. Its fast. 2. Really good damage for a heavy weapon. 3. High ammo capacity. 4. The ammo can be found everywhere.
Slightly surprised to not see the AER9 Laser Rifle pop up. It's basically a direct upgrade to the Hunting Rifle, with its semi-automatic fire and much larger capacity between reloads. Also, in FO3, the common Hunting Rifles had a slight bit of spread even at 100 Small Guns skill, while the Laser Rifle DIDN'T. Combine that with the fact that it's surprisingly common in the mid-game(Talon Co. Mercs and Regulators use it if they send squads out to kill you because of your Karma level), and the fact that the Enclave usually have lots of ammo for it in the late game, and I pretty much never used anything else for most open-air encounters after a certain point. Glad to see the Chinese Assault Rifle and Chinese Officer Sword appear, though. Rarely used the Sword, except in cases where I was facing lots of melee enemies or was trying to stealth it; but you can have that Kalashnikov when you pry it from my cold dead hands.
slow burn flamer, A3-21s plasma rifle, the metal blaster Nuka grenade, shiskabab,Blackhawk,Callahans magnum, fisto, the mauler, the man opener, victory rifle, the shocker, Eugene, plasma nades, bottlecap mines, Lincoln's repeater, the terrible shotgun, the backwater rifle, fawkes super sledge, the dismemberer, dart gun deathclaw gauntlet, double barreled shotgun, missile launcher, perferater, the destabalizer, unique type 93, unique plasma pistol, precision gatling laser. any of these could have made this list
8:00 Hint to people who haven't played fallout 3:Finding more Alien Blaster ammo is impossible until Mothership Zeta which is a DLC You cannot start this Mission unless you beat the Campaign.
The shocksword you can get in I think the Anchorage DLC is an amazing weapon, about 2 or 3 hits to most enemies & then they're nothing but ash. One of my favorites if not for the inability to repair it on the fly cuz of how rare officers swords are.
Why does nobody ever talk about New Vegas? There's this special feeling, when you turn off the music while you're out in the Mojave and listen to the wind blowing over the bloodshed wasteland. I got goosebunbs so many times because of these feelings.
ShiBe_nAtioN I love New Vegas. Being rich in the lucky 38 knowing I am known and feared throughout the strip and free side. Wearing Benny's Suit and using Maria. It's a great feeling
Another youtuber on here by the name of Oxhorn does lore and play through videos on all the fallouts including New Vegas if your needing an NV fix i really recommend him
my personal top : 1 lincolm repeater 2 the terrible shotgun (don't remember wich melee weap i use) also we can have an electrified weapon like chinesse dealing maybe 3 time the sword you show in video (exact same stats as the fire sword made with moto parts , but fire instead of electricity).
Once I got the Backwater Rifle, I never looked back. Just slightly lower damage than Lincoln's Repeater, but WAY more abundant ammo. It's hands down my favorite weapon in the game.
i've been playing since december 2022. epic games left 3 versions of fallout for free and fallout 3 came in that wave. In my humble opinion it was the best game that epic has released in recent years. Death stranding was also made available but unfortunately it's not a game per se but a kind of walking simulator mixed with endless cinematics. Fallout 3 is wonderful despite being "old" and I'm having fun like never before!
I'm surprised the .44 revolver wasn't on this list, Blackhawk does more damage the the Victory rifle (unique Sniper rifle), and the Other unique one from broken steel does even more.
The base hunting rifle was my favorite in Fallout 3- it wasn't very strong, but was accurate and reliable. In NV its This Machine, and Fallout 4 its actually the 10mm, surprisingly enough
I love the shiskabob. I find it to be a very reliable melee weapon as well as the death claw gauntlet. the rock-it launcher is also very useful since there is junk everywhere in the wasteland.
I like the victory rifle best because it is much more durable than the standard sniper and give a bonus knock down effect whenever you land a critical hit. Also the reservist's rifle with 10 luck, the survival guru perk, and finesse perk will score a critical roughly 90% of the time outside of VATS but 100% in VATS
I found a version of the combat shotgun called "The Terrible Shotgun". Has even more power and can use regular combat shotguns for repair :) And then there´s "Eugene", the power version of the mini-gun. I like the Nuka-grenade, made on the weapon bench. And there´s " Sydney´s 10mm ´Ultra´ ". I do like the Missile Launcher, slow, but ok :)
I do have to say that if this included the Lincoln's Repeater, there is a weapon that can compete with it. The Backwater Rifle is from the Point Lookout DLC did a little bit less damage than the Lincoln's Repeater, but used 9mm ammo as ammunition. Again, I'm surprised to see it, seeing that the Chinese Officer Sword, which I believe was only obtainable through the Operation: Anchorage DLC, although I may be wrong. Either way, great count down.
My favorite weapon was the A321 plasma rifle and all other plasma rifles in the game. durable, accurate and can destroy armored targets like deathclaws pretty easily.
So, I have a question in terms of shotguns: If one has the Point Lookout DLC for Fallout 3, does either the Sawed-Off or Double Barrel Shotgun surpass the Combat Shotgun or is the Combat Shotgun still better?
In the game there is a better shotgun than the combat shotgun, but it's the same just maybe like an enhanced version,it's called the terrible shotgun (the name isn't literal) I found it by killing a secret shop keeper in evergreen falls
i prefer Blackhawk to the sniper rifle better durability damage and easier to get ammo than 308 caliber plus he forgot to mention if you do plan on sniping use either the Reservists rifle or Victory Rifle as both are superior Reservists Rifle best sniper damage per bullet while Victory has a knockback chance effect which is extremely valuable against super mutant overlords and Feral Reavers from Broken Steel also there is a second AlienBlaster on the mobile crawler in max difficulty locked box so yeah happy hunting of that one
I like melee combat so the Chinese officer's sword is pretty useful. But the super sledge is always on my person and is especially nice w/ the bloody mess perk
The best weapon in the game (if you are willing to put in a few perk levels and push your unarmed skill past 100) is right there from the start: your bare fists. Once you have three ranks of iron fist, better criticals and paralysing palm you do more damage per second than with power fists, brass knuckles and spiked knuckles. Bare fists can also knock your targets out with just a few hits outside VATS and once they are knocked out it is easy to keep them unconscious until death; this is without paralysing palm which is really just icing on the cake. The most obvious bonus of this is, of course, that your weapon need never be repaired, which is useful and amazing considering how many sentry bots I've pulped with my bare hands. I restarted the entire game just to try out the bare fist build and did not regret it one bit, it's worth a go.
my favorite weapon was the Tesla cannon because of how over powered it was especially with the grim reapers sprint perk and how abundant its EC ammo was
Lincoln's Repeater, the Blackhawk revolver, and the Chinese assault rifle are my go to weapons when clearing out super mutant infested areas. sometimes I bring the terrible shotgun/combat shotgun for close up room clearing.
I'll say the Grenade Launcher is a pretty fun gun. Not the best gun, but a fun one. You can only get it via console commands, however. It essentially just lobs a physical grenade at an enemy with speed; just smacking someone with the grenade will often criple a limb or two, or do significant damage. The grenade has a timed fuse, so it bounces around after hitting an object. However, if you're quick, you can empty its' entire magazine of 3 grenades at an enemy, and they'll all go off at once for triple the damage (one grenade's explosion detonates the others). The best part is, it uses Shotgun Shell ammunition; which is extremely plentiful. Another gun I love is the Metal Blaster. Basically it's a laser shotgun. I bloody love how powerful it is, and it's effective up to quite a range.
I also love how the lincoln repeater is not at all very hard to get. waltz into the basement of the Nat history museum with a hunting rifle and a shotgun of somekind, or an assault rifle, and you can get it pretty easily. watch out for those turrents though.
Hand grenades , mines , pulse mines , pulse grenades are the best for versus robots or any enemy in general if you play like an explosive ninja build. Which relies on sneak , melee and explosives.
Was anyone else shocked that he didn't mention A3-21's Plasma Rifle or the Wazer Wifle? Those two are incredibly useful!
***** Agreed! The only two things I hate about it are how small it's magazine is compared to the other energy weapons, and how the actual plasma projectile moves slower than a bullet, so you can't really use it effectively at long distances.
***** Indeed. I take it with me everywhere I go.
what about the experimental mirv
Right here bro that's one of the best guns in th game even tho you get it of harkness
I thought the same about the A3-21. But seriously, skwew biwwy.
FML...
+Andreas Chryseliou I am so sorry you had to endure that.
+Andreas Chryseliou use console commands m8
+Prime Technophilia LOL
+Prime Technophilia I agree!
+Andreas Chryseliou agreed cuz I got the Blackhawk
Bb-gun>all
I know right I beat the super mutants with it
+Ayman Ahmed Pff, you can easily take down a behemoth with it!
+The Jude Of OCs And a deathclaw!
+Maoux551 There's actually an upgraded version of the BB Gun (Red Racer? or something) that deals higher (though still quite low) damage than the regular BB gun, but extremely high critical damage, making it a pretty good weapon for those with very high critical chances (and almost useless for everyone else).
+The Jude Of OCs once i took out a behemoth with an impact of a thrown frag grenade (not the explosion, but the actual throw damage)
"Non-lethal" head explodes
Greg Jones good point lol
The one with the mask
Greg Jones it means that it doesent kill it instantly but still good point
XxBoss GunnerxX no it means it doesn't kill, or at least doesn't directly kill. The mesmetron is an experimental weapon though so it has a few errors.
As Non lethal ad fallout gets
The combat shotgun, my shotgun of choice.
Nickster Games get the "terrible shotgun" from the vendor at evergreen mills.
What's so special about that.
Nickster Games it's a named weapon first of all, second, it does more damage than a regular combat shotgun.
Hmm. I shall search for this
"Terrible Shotgun".
Nickster Games it does 85 damage
The Lincoln Repeater is hands down my favorite weapon in Fallout 3.
+Sushy San I agree.
*pa-ting!*
+Chamara Wijepala can you tell me where I get it? I really enjoy the hunting rifle and the lever action rifle so it looks great
+Tim the Enchanter In the museum of history along with loads of other Abe Lincoln gear
+Tim the Enchanter I left a reply with a link to a video, did you get it? cause I don't see my reply.
Jingzwei Shock Sword is incredible.. But nearly takes the challenge away from combat. Paired with stealth armor, you have deadly sneak attacks.. Surprised this one wasn't mentioned.
+James Strauser Yeah I love that one, I prefer lightning instead of fire so that was my melee weapon of choice.
10 luck-Shishkebab-Perk that gives extra sneak critical-pure fucking wreckage
Does luck increase critical damage? Thought it just increased critical chance
Yoriko Arran Chance, but extra chance= extra rekage
Aha! Mathematic rekage I follow ya. Personally I am more tactical, facing some big bad mutherhubbard mutant behemoth I paralyze palm the sucker and then proceed to giving it an aggressive haircut with Jack the ripper
I almost never used grenades in general in f3 or nv
ShaquilleOReal I would make a ton of Nuka-Grenades. 😂
I always sold em
I use mines yeah but grenades only for speedruns.
Grenades? We don't talk about this here.
Fr it wasn’t worth wasting the time to switch and possibly get merc’d
SPOILER
Rolling pin is on number 1.
I think they shouldn't have put base variants of weapons on here, but instead the best unique variants. Like, Ol' Painless, Drifter's Rifle, etc.
Reservists' rifle*
Agreed.
+Sardine Sam Yea that's what I wanted to mention Reverist's rifle.
what is the best weapon in fallout 3? the best in damage as a pistol or rifle?
Will Hulsberg Alien blaster probably. On top of its insane damage, it does a critical hit very shot.
The Chinese AR can actually be found easily at earlier levels from Lucas Simms in megaton, all you have to do is tell him that the guy in the suit wanted to blow up the bomb, he will try to kill him but fail and you can take the rifle from his corpse without losing karma
Or if you're going on a bad karma run you can just kill him and take it easily
I think I got that gun from an early mission where Fire Ants attacked this kids town.
Janet Hughes You mean Those?
+HowToFarm - Borderlands 2 Guides! AR actually stands for armalite rifle.
Doesn't say so on the wiki
I mainly use the combat shotgun. I just run up close as fast as I can and blow their heads clean off!!!!!!!!! I love the sniper rifle but ammo too limited! The scoped 44 magnum works almost as well though.
I use the terrible shotgun "from smiling jack"
+SUPER CHARGED CREEPER GAMING I need to find that!
same
SUPER CHARGED CREEPER GAMING where do I find smiling jack?
Squeaks The second some cave where a shop is
A funny story about grenades.
I was headed toward one of the drive ins when some raiders started firing at me. I ducked behind a wall and tossed over a grenade.
This being a drive in, there were cars. The explosion was much, MUCH bigger than I had anticipated.
I never found my loot, but I left satisfied.
TESLA CANNON
TESLA CANNON WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS THE ULTIMATE WEAPON!!!!!!!!
Incredibly high damage
Easy Ammo
Incredible Accuracy & AOE damage
Only defect is it is a near endgame weapon
This guide is for vanilla weapons
Thanks. Before I sent this comment I didn't know broken steel added those
Shanic 14 but the alien gun...
Lol Broken Steel continues the story of Fallout 3 with 3 new main missions
Gauss rifle is better
Gauss rifle anyone?
TheMetroidFan 001 it's a good weapon with high damage, but it doesn't have much ammo and it has a very slow reloading time
I can manage with the slow reloading time. I also like the deathclaw gauntlet, super sledge, ripper, and double barrel shotgun.
TheMetroidFan 001 love that gun but not my fav
The Nemesis at the beggining, i've found some mini nukes, and i sell then all, it worth it, i had a decent amount of caps at the beggining
And the Fat Man is what...
Nothing beats homemade flaming sword from motorcycle parts and lawnmower blade.
Hear hear!
A3-21 (Harkness's Plasma Rifle)
By far the best, works great with the Commando perk and has enough range in VATS to be able to headshot any relevant target with ease. Why bother using a weapon for enemies like 100m away when you can just take a realistic cover-to-cover approach.
Hope they bring back slavery in fallout 4 great for an evil playstyle.
+Socomnick considering you can "intimidate" other human npc's to fight for you, I wouldn't count slavery out.
***** Yes the games reveals of the perk tree can be BS, where else do you think I got it from smart one.
+Socomnick I'd like to, too. As a moron, I would kill these motherfuckers for their weapons and equipment, as I would kill every single fucker of this land. Bitch one day, bitch forever, as we say.
Well, it is about the commonwealth. So guaranteed they have android slavery.
+Danny Williams Probably good for no kill playthroughs
puts chinese sword in but not the shiskebab, puts sniper rifle in and not the reservist's rifle. flat out ignores vengeance. puts combat shotgun in instead of the terrible shotgun. Puts in the alien blaster and not firelance. Leaves out the wazer wifle and A3-21's plasma rifle. puts the chinese assault riffle in and not the xuanlong, infiltrator or perforator. need i say more?
+James Fernandez no, because your annoying
+Bread Muncher how so?
This list is inspiring me to get all these weapons. Thanks.
Ghost XM9 np ;)
James Fernandez I'm pretty sure when he mentioned those weapons, he's mentioning them as a whole, including their unique variants
my fav weapon is the Chinese assault rifle
Young Tree 64 same
Gets the job done
Mine is the atomic pulverizer
My is the Tesla Cannon
Mine is the wazer wifle
Fallout 3 is Better than 4
Darius Evans Fallout New Vegas is better than Fallout 3
agreed
Fallout 3 is the best one by far
NV > 3 > 4

Who just sells their fat man and the mini nukes
The Bashful Blaze When the fat man can't be repaired? Really rare ammo? Hard to find? What's your guess.
I don't always use fat man but when I do i use experimental MIRV
I really only use the Fat Man when I really don't feel like taking the time to kill an onslaught of enemies, like Enclave.
I sell every big gun in fallout I find
killerflipflop How many caps u got?
Jack (The Ripper) hits thirty times a second, with each hit being able to do over 60 critical damage with sneak attack criticals and appropriate skills and perks. No Earth energy weps? I mean you gotta love the plasma rifle and Gatling laser. Also what about the hard hitting single shot ones like the Gauss rifle and Tesla cannon?
Gatling laser wasn't specifically effective
+The AfterShock Gamer I have all special weapons in the game but only use the Silenced 10MM Pistol, the Terrible Shotgun, Ol' Painless, and Xuanlong.
+FlashDemonic yeah i always ended up scratching my head when I used it.
I'm all out the Gauss rifle.
Got over 100 grenades... never used them...
they were my number one weapon when fighting mutants in dc
+uselesscrapful they're a lot more useful if you have high explosives skill, otherwise all they'll really do is cripple a limb or two, if they don't roll/bounce a mile away form the target. I have sorta midrange skill so I only carry a few frags and pulse grenades around, just in case.
I sold them, lol
+uselesscrapful Nuka Grenades are so much better
uselesscrapful in my a have like 340 granades 😂😂😂
I love the deathclaw and yao guai hand weapons, just because they look really cool. lol
I like the death claw one cause of its close range stealth capabilities
MrMarkedMantis
Yeah I bet. I've been thinking of starting a new game on Fallout 3 and making a stealthy character that's good at unarmed and has a deathclaw gauntlet. I know you're mainly supposed to use guns but just running up and clobbering someone with melee or unarmed feels really satisfying, lol.

MrMarkedMantis
That's cool, I didn't know that! I wonder if that'll nerf unarmed and melee a bit though, if that's the more advantageous choice. Either way maybe it'll encourage me to rely on guns a bit more.

Love the ping of the Lincoln repeater
My favourite VATS gun. As long as you pick the Scrounger perk, you won't even have ammo problems.
my favorite was the plasma rifle pacifically Harkness's rifle. I used to till the very end of the game.
It was the android's plasma rifle, that gun was the single best gun in the game. It dropped fully armored enclave assholes like flies.
If you can't tell I freaking loved that gun, they made it so shit in new Vegas
+Jonah Price in Fallout 3 that weapon one shotted so many enemies, serprized it was nerfed in New Vegas-probably for balancing reasons. Bethesda and Obsidian make their RPGs quite differently.
+PixelReviver I understand balancing but they made it completely useless in NV
"pacifically"
Gauss rife was my favourite
So happy to see the lincoln's repeater on number 1, never liked weird laser weapons and stuff, it's precise, it's simple, and it gets the job done with style, it is my favourite weapon along with the standard early game hunting rifle.
I am surprised by the significant lack of the Metal Blaster and Protectron’s Gaze
The shishkebab is my favorite melee weapon by far, dealing both high damage and fire damage over time. Plus it's relatively quick
You should add a MIRV. (A Fatman that shoots 7 mininukes instead of 1)
sounds like a waste of mini nukes
The MIRV also appears in Fallout 3. I think its name is Experimental MIRV. You can check the wiki if you dont belive me.
RockiTLauncher for when you want to use books, cans, spoons, forks and knives as ammunition or any other junk item in the game
I love it.
The only problem is you have to carry everything to use the Rock-It Launcher which makes you overcumbered!
The Sniper Rifle in Fallout 3 actually didn't have a swaying scope. It would only sway if you didn't have 100 points into the Small Guns skill, which is very unlikely if you're using one to begin with. And it's like how the Gauss Rifle scope doesn't sway if you have 100 in Energy Weapons
i use harkness' plasma rifle
hdspade a3-21 is his REAL name.
@@yiopanda6014 harkness likes the name tho
fisto when you have paralyzing palm you can parylaze a super mutant bohemath
I know this sounds crazy but i enjoy the Hunting Rifle alot. Common, decent damage, high zoom. It's a pretty solid weapon with very few downsides.
i need to play fallout 3 again after fallout 4
This Machine from NV beats all of that.
Almost everything from NV is better than all these
+Roland Rice You're right. New Vegas is a better game in almost all aspects.
+Arkanjo Teixeira i love the way "that gun" reloads and the sound it makes when it reloads
+mrabudi1 Me too! Did you know that “That Gun” was actually based in Deckard gun from Blade Runner?
Aaahh... New Vegas... for a couple of years I didnt knew if it was worth playing it.... But I already spend double the time on New Vegas than on Fallout 3
"Frag grenades can even out a barter"
Yeah it can work both ways!
For payment...
And DEATH!
Like the combat shot gun I m putting the finishing touches on my cosplay replica of the gun
The Gatling Laser is a really good heavy weapon for close combat. 1. Its fast. 2. Really good damage for a heavy weapon. 3. High ammo capacity. 4. The ammo can be found everywhere.
Is it just me or are fallout 3 weapons underpowered
I only have Fallout 3 and I still feel as if they are underpowered , but I have no say because I haven't used other weapons
And you get way less caps for them.
Overseers guardian is 20 times better than any gun in fallout 3
+Ethan Bullock not Lincoln's repeater
If you compare them to the ones in new vegas or fallout 4 they feel much weaker.
Is this supposed to be dlc weapons too ?
My Favourite is the Frag grenade because one time I had two super mutants on me and I had 5 frag grenades and killed both of them in one Frag grenade.
I love the Gauss Rifle. :D
Why would anyone hurt Sierra ;_;
The lincolns repeater is simply the best.
Putting grenades in people's pants was my favorite part lol
8:00 Hint to people who haven't played fallout 3:Finding more Alien Blaster ammo is impossible until Mothership Zeta which is a DLC You cannot start this Mission unless you beat the Campaign.
No im pretty sure you can play it without beating the campaign
Mlpfanboy
You can't some DLC missions does not appear on the pip boy until you beat the campaign (Mothership Zeta is one of them)
Really? Because you can't keep playing once you beat the campaign.
Harvester of Sorrow I am not so sure I am just saying what I heard. From a youtuber that played fallout 3 before.
Or I remember it wrong I don't know if I am wrong Somebody tell me with a kind way Not an half assed way like IT'S WRONG YOU FUCKING IDIOT!!!
Eugene.
Chinese Assault Rifle, Gauss Rifle, Plasma Rifle, Shishkabab. Alien Desintigrator
I literally have all of these
These aren't hard to get.
Where's #10 located
You get it on a mission
My character is level 11 and I've already got my hands on half of this list
The shocksword you can get in I think the Anchorage DLC is an amazing weapon, about 2 or 3 hits to most enemies & then they're nothing but ash. One of my favorites if not for the inability to repair it on the fly cuz of how rare officers swords are.
A3-21's Plasma Rifle is almost always the one i use the most. Hands down the most reliable gun in the game.
Why does nobody ever talk about New Vegas? There's this special feeling, when you turn off the music while you're out in the Mojave and listen to the wind blowing over the bloodshed wasteland. I got goosebunbs so many times because of these feelings.
ShiBe_nAtioN Everybody talks about new vegas
maybe
ShiBe_nAtioN I love New Vegas. Being rich in the lucky 38 knowing I am known and feared throughout the strip and free side. Wearing Benny's Suit and using Maria. It's a great feeling
Another youtuber on here by the name of Oxhorn does lore and play through videos on all the fallouts including New Vegas if your needing an NV fix i really recommend him
this is an awesome game for 2008 for its great graphics and story
OldSchoolCoolGaming wrong
I found the Chinese Assault Rifle at level 4... And I didn't even have to fight a single super mutant
Cancerous Edits same
Cancerous Edits level 2
I accidentally found one in the sheriffs corpse
my personal top :
1 lincolm repeater
2 the terrible shotgun
(don't remember wich melee weap i use)
also we can have an electrified weapon like chinesse dealing maybe 3 time the sword you show in video (exact same stats as the fire sword made with moto parts , but fire instead of electricity).
That is Shishkabab you are talking about...it's a fire breathing sword...
Once I got the Backwater Rifle, I never looked back. Just slightly lower damage than Lincoln's Repeater, but WAY more abundant ammo. It's hands down my favorite weapon in the game.
but the chinese sword is awful... shishkebab is way better. or fawke's super sledge. can't believe you chose frag over plasma too...
These weapons are more familiar.
Made in China.
i've been playing since december 2022. epic games left 3 versions of fallout for free and fallout 3 came in that wave.
6:23 I couldnt stop thinking about Fallout Shelter. I never turn on the music channel on my FO3 pipboy often, didn't know it was even in the game.
The ‘terrible shotgun’ is my favourite weapon, great for head shots in close proximity
Has even more power and can use regular combat shotguns for repair :)
And then there´s "Eugene", the power version of the mini-gun.
I like the Nuka-grenade, made on the weapon bench.
And there´s " Sydney´s 10mm ´Ultra´ ".
I do like the Missile Launcher, slow, but ok :)
i have MIRV. no need fatman shooting some random piece of shit. here. take MIRV. six mini nuke shooting ass gun blowing up everyones asses.
You put the Chinese Officer Sword instead of the Shishkibab?
So, I have a question in terms of shotguns: If one has the Point Lookout DLC for Fallout 3, does either the Sawed-Off or Double Barrel Shotgun surpass the Combat Shotgun or is the Combat Shotgun still better?
I love the Rock-It Launcher. Infinite ammo, looks great and packs a mean punch.
Rock-it-launcher filled to the brim with teddy bears. Most fun I've had in years with slow mo cuddly justice.
In the game there is a better shotgun than the combat shotgun, but it's the same just maybe like an enhanced version,it's called the terrible shotgun (the name isn't literal)
I found it by killing a secret shop keeper in evergreen falls
Are you sure that wasn't borderlands gun.? I know they had the terrible shotgun.
i prefer Blackhawk to the sniper rifle better durability damage and easier to get ammo than 308 caliber plus he forgot to mention if you do plan on sniping use either the Reservists rifle or Victory Rifle as both are superior Reservists Rifle best sniper damage per bullet while Victory has a knockback chance effect which is extremely valuable against super mutant overlords and Feral Reavers from Broken Steel also there is a second AlienBlaster on the mobile crawler in max difficulty locked box so yeah happy hunting of that one
I like melee combat so the Chinese officer's sword is pretty useful. But the super sledge is always on my person and is especially nice w/ the bloody mess perk
that music from the mission where your in the pods. cant describe its really strange
Dart gun is my favorite against deathclaws, it's pretty much required if you're going for the medical power armor.
I love the combat knife (or Stabhappy, which you loot from a raider I don't remember where) and the 10mm pistol lol
I restarted the entire game just to try out the bare fist build and did not regret it one bit, it's worth a go.
my favorite weapon was the Tesla cannon because of how over powered it was especially with the grim reapers sprint perk and how abundant its EC ammo was
I'm surprised that he didn't talk about the captain's sidearm, the infiltrator, or hell even the jingwei's shock-sword
Lincoln's Repeater, the Blackhawk revolver, and the Chinese assault rifle are my go to weapons when clearing out super mutant infested areas. sometimes I bring the terrible shotgun/combat shotgun for close up room clearing.
the victory rifle is a rare sniper that has no sway while aiming through the scope. it also has a high chance of throwing the enemy of its feet.
Another good weapon is the Shishkebab. I use it to kill all types of supermutants
Hand grenades , mines , pulse mines , pulse grenades are the best for versus robots or any enemy in general if you play like an explosive ninja build.
Which relies on sneak , melee and explosives.
When he said no other weapon in the wastland could repair the alien blaster , think again because you can repair it to full with the fire lance.
The Lincoln's Repeater and the Terrible Shotgun are my favorite weapons in the game
my favorite is the gauss rife, sneak attacks with it can send an deathclaw in the air and with the ammo is so common it's a dimension a dozen
dime, I hate this phone
My favorite is the Plasma Rifle. High powered and I can find just enough ammunition to continually use it whenever I want to.
