Please visit horizonhobby.c... for more information on the RealFlight Evolution RC Flight Simulator.
For more than two decades, RealFlight® has been the #1 RC flight simulator in the world! It's the absolute best tool new RC pilots can use when learning how to fly. It also makes it possible for experienced RC pilots to practice new maneuvers and hone their skills so they can become even better pilots. Plus, it’s the best way to “try” new Horizon Hobby and other models before you buy them!
With more than 300 different aircraft to fly - including airplanes, helicopters, drones, and more - at over 75 different flying sites, plus the ability to edit and add aircraft and sites, there’s an almost infinite number of flying options available. Add in Virtual Flight Instructor lessons, game-like challenges, multiplayer options so you can fly and compete with other pilots online, compatibility with VR headsets, and many, many more features, and you have everything you need to succeed at the field - because you can “fly” on a desktop at home, or on a laptop just about anywhere else!
RealFlight Evolution “evolves” the world’s most popular RC flight sim with a fresh and modern user interface, adds the main flying site from Triple Tree Aerodrome - home of the world-famous “Joe Nall” and other events - plus dozens of other 3D fields and PhotoFields. It also adds more than a dozen of the newest and most popular aircraft from E-flite®, HobbyZone®, Hangar 9® and Blade®, and more than 100 additional aircraft models. Best of all, it also gives you access to new models and fields that will be released quarterly (starting in early 2023) for purchase à la carte, in money-saving content packs, or with yearly season passes!
That access to new models and fields comes as a result of RealFlight Evolution being delivered exclusively via Steam® - the world’s largest digital distribution platform for PC games and simulators. Steam eliminates the need to use DVDs and compatible drives for installation, provides seamless and automatic software updates, and even allows you to install RF Evolution on multiple PCs using the Steam Client and your account. There’s no serial number to lose over time and it’s easier than ever to add RealFlight to additional PCs in the future!
RF Evolution runs on a wide variety of PCs (Personal Computers) from low-cost laptops to “gaming” desktops running Windows® 8, 10 or 11. It's available as software only, or with the Spektrum™ InterLink® DX Simulator Controller - which connects directly to a USB port for easy plug-and-play use - that’s modeled after Spektrum transmitters including all standard switch locations and functions so it works just like your favorite radio! Or you can use the WS2000 USB Dongle (SPMWS2000, sold separately) with a compatible Spektrum 2.4GHz transmitter, like the DXS transmitter included with many of the most popular Ready-To-Fly (RTF) trainer aircraft, for wireless operation. It’s even compatible with direct USB connection to Spektrum NX6, NX8, NX10 and other transmitters!

I'm assuming if you have 9.5S through STEAM currently, that this will update to Evolution???
Yes, as long as you purchased RF9.5S (at any time since it was released!) you will get the RF Evolution software separately as a FREE UPGRADE once it's available on Steam on October 28th:
"If you purchased RealFlight 9.5S at any time you will receive a free copy of RealFlight Evolution! Internet connectivity is required to download the software via Steam after RF Evolution is released on October 28th, 2022."
If you purchased RF9 or RF9.5:
"Or, if you purchased RealFlight 9 or 9.5 at any time you can exchange the serial number for a Steam key to update to 9.5S at no charge! Internet connectivity is required to complete the exchange using this link: keyexchange.realflight.com
Then you can purchase and download RF Evolution via Steam at the discounted price of $70 (versus the regular price of $99.99) after it’s released on October 28th, 2022."
@@HorizonHobbyProducts does that mean since I was planning on buying 9.5s this holiday I can't get the upgrade to this if I bought 9.5s after Evolution was released?
@@zmanhuber6924 No matter when you buy RF9.5S -- whether it was when it was first released in late 2021, today, or even years from now -- you will also get Evolution for free! When you redeem the Steam key for RF9.5S you will see both 9.5S and Evolution in your Steam library :)
@@HorizonHobbyProducts That sounds great, but I'm not getting any updates on Steam for it. Still on 9.5s v9.60.068.
@@HorizonHobbyProductsdose it come with a dongle
Awesome product I really didn't know what to expect since I am a 60 year old beginning that just learned to fly a year ago I own about six airplane's that are on the Realflight evolution and have learned many things about each of these planes that I would have never even tried to do with my real rc airplane's and now I fly with confidence, my take offs and landings are way better overall Realflight evolution is making me a better pilot every day I would highly recommend this to all beginners it is a very powerful tool if you use it right.
Ok Horizon, thats what im talking about! I seen the Viper 90mm and F16 80mm too!
This is exactly what I was hoping for! I bought realflight 9.5s earlier this year and I love it. It literally taught me to fly the carbon cub. I've since moved up to a commander. Really looking forward to the new field and plane packs. Great news! 187 hours on sim and counting
We love hearing about success like yours because of RealFlight!! Best of all you're going to get RF Evolution as an UPGRADE for FREE when it's released on the 28th:
"If you purchased RealFlight 9.5S at any time you will receive a free copy of RealFlight Evolution! Internet connectivity is required to download the software via Steam after RF Evolution is released on October 28th, 2022."
@@HorizonHobbyProducts I see Steam says it's already in my Steam Library 😀
@@almeisam It's "coming soon" but the software won't be available for download until the 28th :)
Looking forward to RealFlight Evolution! That's an awesome deal for people that bought RF9.5s!
It lives up to the hype of this promo video in my humble opinion. Well done!
Thank you horizon for sending this to me for free!!! Was a real surprise when I got home and open this!! I’m an Elite member by the way that why it was free! If you guys are not an Elite member I recommend you do it! It pay for it self
i got the evolution and its been great ive racked up around 8hrs in matter of week. love the amount of models and even gas and drones and heli and waterplanes
This looks like a great RealFlight, looking forward to flying new skies with Team Let's Go Flying, Jeff in LA USA
I had 6 on a older laptop and loved it. Can't wait to try this one.
I'm rather surprised that, as popular as the EFlite Cherokee has been, that it's not included in the aircraft available for RealFlight. Any plans to add the Cherokee to any expansion packs?
The Cherokee is a great flying model that's been available for many years now, but at the moment there are no plans to add the current version of it to RealFlight.
I was wondering what they were going to call this version. The actual real flight version 10 came out years ago and blue screened 10,000 PCs; it was quickly pulled from shelves.
Yep (that was back when Hobbico owned the RealFlight brand)! Hence why we did not call this RF10 (or RFX again haha). Also, RF Evolution is the new "base" software that will be available in/as the same version for many years, then starting in 2023 we will release new models and fields quarterly that can be purchased à la carte, in money-saving content packs, or with yearly season passes! No more need for a new "full" or "half" point version every year...you'll be able to get new content for it every three months instead ;)
@@HorizonHobbyProducts that is music to my ears. as an owner of G4, then G7.5, I was like WHEN IS THIS GOING TO STOP!?
so you're saying Evolution will be pretty futureproof?
I ended up wearing the InterLink DX's pots in its gimbals out with 6 months of daily use (I easily spend 1~4 hours per day in the simulator, honing my flying skils). Would be great if there is an option for it to have hall sensor gimbals (kinda one of the reasons why I jumped ship & picked up a controller that _has_ hall sensor gimbals).
You can use the Spektrum NX10 transmitter, which has hall-effect sensor gimbals, with RealFlight by using a USB cable: www.horizonhobby.com/product/nx10-10-channel-dsmx-transmitter-only/SPMR10100.html
Will this be Steam Deck verified? I can play RF 9.5S on Windows boot with the dongle (just because) but would prefer to use Linux. My main rig is a RTX 3080 so can’t wait to pump the visuals up and don my Oculus headset for VR as well. :)
This looks cool more focus on helicopters please, planes are easy new helicopter pilots need the practice.
We added three new Blade helis to RF Evolution:
• Blade 150 S Helicopter with AS3X and SAFE Technologies
• Blade InFusion 180 Helicopter with AS3X and SAFE Technologies
• Blade Fusion 480 (550) Stretch Helicopter
Along with the following airplanes:

• Hangar 9 Ultra Stick 60” 10cc
I have 9.5. Great product, which I'm on a lot during the winter, but I bet I don't use more than 10-15% of what it has to offer. I've an open mind; tell me why I should consider upgrading. Thanks.
The main reason to upgrade is to get the 100+ new models and dozens of new fields RF Evolution now includes compared to RF9.5S, which will also give you access to the new models and fields we will start to release quarterly in 2023:
New RealFlight Evolution Features
• A fresh and modern user interface that’s even easier and more intuitive to use, virtually eliminating the need to use a mouse or keyboard with the InterLink DX controller
• More than a dozen of the newest and most popular ultra micro, sport, scale, EDF and trainer aircraft from E-flite, HobbyZone and Hangar 9 plus multiple helicopters from Blade
• Fly at the newest PhotoField™ - the main flying site from Triple Tree Aerodrome, home of the world-famous “Joe Nall” and other events
• More than 100 additional aircraft plus dozens of 3D fields and PhotoFields previously only available separately via Expansion Packs
• Access to new models and fields released quarterly (starting in early 2023) for purchase à la carte, in money-saving content packs, or with yearly season passes
• Additional Virtual Flight Instructor lessons for new pilots learning to fly with the HobbyZone AeroScout 1.1m
@@BillKisel If you'd like to upgrade from 9.5 to Evo at the discounted price of $70 (versus the regular price of $99.99) you'll first have to exchange the serial number you have for 9.5 to a Steam key to download 9.5S:

I guess I am just a luddite. But I wish you would still offer the software on a DVD instead of having to sign up for a streaming service. 😐
Steam is NOT a streaming service! You simply download the software from Steam. Then you use it independently of Steam...online or offline too! Most computers don't come with a DVD drive anymore so there's no way to install the software unless you download it from an online distribution platform like Steam. There are other benefits too like seamless and automatic updates whenever you're online, you can install it on as many PCs as you want, and you can't lose a serial number (so you will have access to the software forever!):

@@HorizonHobbyProducts You make it sound tempting. 🙂
Would I be able to use this with a gaming laptop or do I need a desktop?
Still no Mac support. M1 and M2 Macs have more processing and graphics power than most PCs. Also, there are good cross-platform gaming engines that support the Mac, but RF’s insistence on sticking with DirectX is leaving them out of a good chunk of the market.
As noted in response to another comment regarding Mac compatibility (and that "good chunk" is a lot smaller than you might think ;):
Nothing ironic at all...there are far more PC than Mac users, especially when it comes to those using simulators, and it is very costly plus time consuming to re-develop RealFlight to work on Mac (it's much easier/lower cost for other apps that aren't complex sims). We are still considering the possibility of re-developing RealFlight to work on Mac, but it will be a few years from now if we do. In the meantime you can purchase a mini PC or even a low-cost laptop with Windows for $100-$300 to run RealFlight. More ironic is that Apple decided to stop supporting their own Boot Camp so Mac users could run Windows...further stranding Mac users in situations like this!
Is the X-Vert Vtol also included?
I previously had/have RF8, it came with InterLink-x controller, will the do for RF Evolution?
Anybody know if is combatible with other TX? Except spectrum?
Please bring back the option for the menu bar at top of screen.
Good Day. I have RF Evolution 9.5 through Steam. When I open RF, just for a second I get a screen with drop down menus. Then the actual screen appears with no drop down menus. Do you know why that is?
LET'S MAKE HORIZON HOBBY GREAT AGAIN. BRING BACK NITROS AND ALL THE BRANDS THAT MADE THEM FAMOUS LET'S SQUASH TRAXXAS!!!!
can i use this with a wired usb xbox controller like i use for games?
I would get one but it doesn't run on a Mac. In all your specter videos you're using Mac's. But in order to use it in your product you need a PC. That ironic

My RealFlight simulator stopped working because it wanted me to add in the serial number again and I don’t have it. Is there a way to show that I bought it to get another serial number?
This would be a great tool if it worked on my computer. Graphics have a problem and Horizon Hobby is not able to support or help me troubleshoot the issue. My laptop is barely a year old - I've watched other folks on much older PC's and they don't have the visual issue I'm experiencing. Very disappointing "after-the-sale" experience.
So, I purchased 9.5 in October of 2020 and then on 12/8/2021 exchanged my 9.5 DVD serial number for a 9.5S serial through Horizon Hobby, does that qualify for a free upgrade to the newest version?
"Or, if you purchased RealFlight 9 or 9.5 at any time you can exchange the serial number for a Steam key to update to 9.5S at no charge! Internet connectivity is required to complete the exchange using this link: keyexchange.realflight.com

That last part applies to you based on the info you provided. Which means you can purchase an upgrade to RF Evolution for $70 (compared to the regular price of $99.99) after it's released on October 28th! Only those who purchased RF9.5S after it was released in December of 2021 get a FREE UPGRADE to RF Evolution.
I have RF drones with the INTERLINK ELITE controller. will this controller work with this RF version ?
Yes! It doesn't have as many channels as the newer Spektrum InterLink DX controller, but it has enough to offer full functionality with most models in RealFlight Evolution :)
I purchased RF9 and already exchanged the serial number for a Steam key to update to 9.5S. Can I keep using 9.5S after October 28th if I don't want to pay the extra $70 upgrade for RF Evolution?
Yes! You just won't be able to access any of the new models/field that are included with RF Evolution, or the future models and fields we start to release quarterly in 2023 (you'd have to pay $70 to upgrade to RF Evolution to have access to all of that content).
Hey everyone,
The planes are breaking in the air wenn i'm flying 3d.
How can i fix this?
Great! Thanks!
It's only fair for customers to know that ownership of this product is NOT transferable. So you can't sell it if it's already been activated. I wanted to sell mine and that is what customer service told me.
This is awesome ❤❤
Does it only work with spektrum radios?
It works with any controller/transmitter that can connect to a PC and operate as a game controller/joystick! This includes the Spektrum InterLink DX simulator controller (which includes a USB connector: www.horizonhobby.com/product/interlink-dx-simulator-controller-with-usb-plug/SPMRFTX1.html ), all Spektrum NX series transmitters (by using a USB-C cable: www.horizonhobby.com/search?q=NX+transmitter+only&search-button=&lang=default&srule=price-low-to-high&sz=24 ), and all other Spektrum transmitters using the WS2000 Wireless Simulator Dongle (for wireless operation: www.horizonhobby.com/product/ws2000-wireless-simulator-usb-dongle/SPMWS2000.html ). Other brands of controllers/transmitters will also work, but these options offer the easiest compatibility/operation!
@@HorizonHobbyProducts Thank you 👍
Impressive! Liked and subbed! Is there a discount or way to upgrade from rf8 to 9,9.5 or evolution? Thanks!
Thank you! And unfortunately this is no free or discounted way to upgrade from RF8 (which was released 5 years ago) to RF Evolution...so you will simply need buy the R Evolution software only for the regular price of $99.99 (or with the Spektrum InterLink DX controller for $199.99). How would I get the interlink DX to work on usb 3.0 it works perfectly on my older laptop, but that laptop is getting old and is slow, any help would be appreciated.
Per an addendum for RF9.5S/Evolution:
"If you have the Spektrum InterLink DX Controller connected to a compatible USB port on your PC and experience issues launching the RealFlight Evolution software because it does not recognize the controller, or if the response seems laggy/intermittent when using the sim, we recommend using a USB hub between the controller and computer to resolve these issues. Not all computers and InterLink DX controllers will experience these issues, and in those cases you are not required to use a USB hub between them."
Pretty much any USB hub will work, powered or not, including this one from Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/B09B2154SV?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
Do you have an agricultural plane?
October 28 is one day away! :)

Realflight evolution ist leider für Deutsch-sprachige Mitmenschen nicht zu empfehlen. Alles in kompliziertem englisch.
If you purchased a "boxed" version of RealFlight Evolution, it should have included this Installation/Activation Guide that is in English, German, French and Italian: www.horizonhobby.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-horizon-master/default/dw0bfc2150/Manuals/RFL2000_INSTALLATION-GUIDE-MULTI.pdf

This is one huge benefit of RF9.5S and now RF Evolution being on Steam...you can never lose the serial number and will have access to the software forever! In your case, as long as you purchased RF8 Horizon Hobby Edition, RF9 or RF9.5 (all the versions we, Horizon Hobby, sold after acquiring RealFlight), if you can provide proof of purchase to our support staff they can likely track down your serial number. Use the contact form here: www.horizonhobby.com/contact or the virtual assistant to chat to someone (type in "agent" to chat with someone live during business hours...and sometimes it helps to ask for a RealFlight specialist). If you purchased RF8 or an earlier version, those are more than 5 years old and we did not sell them so unfortunately we won't be able to track down your serial number.
