I have just ordered this for 10 year old's birthday. He has R/C cars but wanted a plane. I have bought him a plane and a helicopter (fairly simple) for his birthday but want him to have practice before he flies. He was able to control a simple quadcopter at the age of 5 after I took five minutes to explain the controls. I used to fly some planes but mostly helos and used an earlier version of this software. The controller looks much better now. Thanks for posting.
Very true! Pain and suffering from real life rc plane crashes will make you learn quick!
It has arrived... 15 minutes later.. I have the apprentice loaded ... 75% throttle and I'm in the air... (0 rudder authority in the air) and landed (bouncy) on the first attempt... the 2nd flight... I hit the pole the wind sock is mounted on... Yeah.. I'm hooked... Thank you for bringing this to me...
AWESOME! Glad you're getting into it Bill!
Recommended for any new and old rc pilots that don't already have RealFlight 9.5(S).
A wonderful (and cheap) way to learn how to fly and learn new manoeuvres without the need to buy new models.
I learned to fly on early version of RF years ago. My dad and I built some planes when I was young and we never flew them. I played RF later for a little while and flew my nitro extra 300 right out the gate like I had been flying for years. I’m a believer that simulators work. Good program.
I loved tuning the planes lol, adding turbines to the Cessnas
They should’ve put your driveway as an airstrip! Lol, great video!
Now that would be awesome to see! I’d fly there!
@BrianPhillipsRC should really push for that. Much more challenging training area like a lot of us deal with. All that will be missing is Camera Crew!
@@roedere Now that is a Idea that would be awesome, However you can create your own airfield so it is possible to create the Vampire Killing zone or eagle killer and my favorite the bowl.
Maybe they'll do it now that the power lines are down ;)
I vote for this ! Horizon Please do this lol
Fun little feature that I learned about... While flying in the simulator, press the "F" key... Some random thing will fall off your plane. I did this one time.. My left main landing gear and strut fell off... So I spent about 2 hours learning and practicing 1 wheel landings... A great way to learn to deal with those OMG moments... Try it.. just press "F"
Awesome, we could make it a fun game with the kids!
I fly with folks all the time online and with voice comms, good times and great talking with people from all over the country and world.
Sounds like fun!
How hard is it to connect with people in a group like that
Excellent review and even better camera work
I purchased this yesterday. I already have AccuRC, but, I'm a big fan and customer of Horizon Hobby, and wanted their planes primarily. One thing I've noticed is that the newer versions of this software are actually more forgiving of lower performance computers than the earlier versions were. I don't own expensive gaming machines, so I appreciate this. It shouldn't take a $1500 computer to run simulation software like this.
10000% right on. Why do we NEED a gaming PC to fly RC planes! I want a TOOL for the RC hobby, not a video game. That being said, I DO LIKE a good video game too...but I don't need that for this application.
Thanks Brian. I just picked up RealFlight Evolution, installed it myself and realized I could use some help with functionality and use of the simulator. I learned a few things from you. I didn't even know the scroll button did anything. Learning that opens up a world of things that make using the simulator easier. Tom N, Queen Creek Arizona where it's 106 degrees F here today. Think I'll stay in and fly the simulator. Fun fun.
WOW 106 - that just makes me sweat! We were wet and cooler today, which was real nice, and we NEEDED the rain.
I bought this and love it. I have 50 hours of time on it already though I been driving my wife crazy. 😂
It is really going to help when I fly my big plane for the first time. Thanks so much! I use my NX8 transmitter so I will be used to it. I try to land in crazy places and really get myself into troubled places for experience. My daughter even loves it. My wife not so much.
A bientôt
tout a fait d'accord avec vous.
I ordered the little cheapO drone you last reviewed to try to help kill the daylight savings time blues 😁
Yes!!! Real flight evolution!!! Super cool!! #stayepic
I hate daylightsavings!!! ;)
i love Realflight. and i am happy that new planes are added specially for : Conscendo evolution, viper 90 and F16 80mm.
But i regret that some plane are missing : Commander mpd 1.4, ultimate 3D, FMS Rafale. and really love to have the jet version WITHOUT missiles and bombs.
I'm playing RF Evo with my youngest right now ;)
I've been flying aerobatics for fifty years but still use this amazing sim.
Awesome!!! 50 years! WOW
Great review! Thanks!!!❤❤❤😊😊😊
Thanks!
I love your video thank you so much
I just added the expansion packs 1,2,&3 today. I have been flying RC for 30plus years and still try moves on RF first. I do find it easier on a real plane though. Although I use an IX 12 at the field I sometimes like to bind a radiomaster tx16 just to test out code changes.
Very cool! Hope you enjoy all the new planes!
Hey Brian you are flying at my home rc field Eli field! Kinda neat.
Thanks! Just playing with my boys tonight - super fun to play this and reply to comments ;)
Thank you guys for all your hard work..I will try and purchase this item through your link
Awesome, thank you! This helps more than you probably realize! We really appreciate you doing it.
bprc.me/RealFlight
I'm using RFE with my NX8 and the radio charger cord. I can't seem to get any dual rate action going. I've spent hours in the radio and game configurations with zip results.
great sim game,i have the real flight 9.5s and it helped me a lot
It's great
Flying on VR goggles is wild!
I gotta try it!
Thanks for the video Brian. I bought RF9,5 last year right before 9.5s came out. HH doesn’t offer Evolution as a free update :(
yeah, 9.5 didn't offer the upgrade, but 9.5s did.
I don't think you'll be missing out on too much. My take is the SIMULATOR...gotta have a sim that works, so you can keep sharp when we get those 2 month ruts of bad weather...and to be honest, 9 would have been just fine for this, or even earlier revisions.
That's very cool man
Thank you!
At $45 the Spektrum WS2000 rf dongle is over priced.....
I found out you can just hook up your NX into the USB Micro to USB A and run it that way - check out my pinned comment - so sorry I didn't realize this!!!
There is also a cable that can connect to the NX8's micro USB port, I use it and my NX8 stays charged while playing RF.
I remember flying on this 15-16 years ago lol
Yes, but they've made a few improvements over the years ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC I almost want to buy for the nostalgia of fiddling around it with my dad. He got it back when they did the helicopter update
I had the Orange (Hobbyking) adapter but returned it because there was no way to setup a reset on the controller, and I tried EVERYTHING to try and fix this issue.
reset is on their profile edit screen you didn't scroll down far enough
I don't know anything about this product. We're reviewing a competitive product, the WS2000 - bit.ly/3ztFZK8
Daylight time was invented to give farmers more time to get their crops in. For those who know, it's one of those inventions that helped build this country to what it is and it's still important today. And it gives RC pilots more time in the day to fly. 🤗
Daylight time was invented in 1918 under the Standard Time Act as a measure to save on fuel costs during the First World (I) War by adding an extra hour. The thinking was more sunlight in the evening would reduce the nation's energy consumption.
Would you recommend this version or the new Trainer Version with a wireless controller?
The trainer edition comes with fewer planes/locations
Awesome video. I’m excited to get this. I don’t know if it will work well on my current computer so I may have to upgrade, so my question is, will I be able to install the software on a second computer if it doesn’t run well on the first one, or is the key only good for one install? Thanks in advance.
It's NOT super demanding, so I'd say you might just try her out on your "old" computer, and turn DOWN the graphic effects. I did that on my old, but AMAZING 14 years ago computer (LOL - but yes, it really is 14 years old)
I love RF Evolution for practicing and learning new maneuvers before trying them out in real life and destroying my planes ;)
The only real advantage to Evolution over 9.5s is more planes, and there will be quarterly updates to add new planes, etc. going forward.
Just a few points about it:
1. If you have an NX series transmitter, you don't need a dongle. You can connect your transmitter to the PC via a micro USB cable and use it to control RF.
2. If you are like me, you dislike the new UI menu system. The good news is you can enable the old legacy menu system if you like:
While in game, press the ` key (just below the ESC key on most keyboards) - That will open a console window.
To see a list of all available commands, type: help
press
To enable the legacy menu, type: showLegacyMenu
Press
To disable it, repeat the above steps. Every time you run showLegacyMenu it toggles the setting on or off.
To exit the console, press
3. Some people complain that the graphics aren't super realistic for 2022. However, this is on purpose so you can run it on a fairly modest PC with no problem. If you want super awesome graphics, get Phoenix simulator. A lot of RC hobbyists are not gamers and therefore don't have a hot gaming rig to run their simulator. Keeping the graphics modest lets most people practice their flying without having to upgrade their PC.
I had no idea about the micro USB cable - trying it now ;) Thanks!!!
@@BrianPhillipsRC To get it to work, you have to go System Setup -> USB Settings and change it to game controller mode. BDTenessee has a good vid on how to set up the model and switches etc. on an NX series for RF.
Just did it! But while you were typing - LOL- See my pinned comment - mentioned you ;)
Actually, Andrew is flying on his NX6 right now!
Why does realfight evolution mute when I change a setting on my tranmiter???
Come on Brian, lets see some VR flying
3:50 They hanged their bananas in the background.
Maybe directional radio would be something for your internet. It's probably more expensive, but the connections is much better. You can easily have a Gigabit connection.
I had that issue with the interlink. Couldnt figure out the problem, sold the interlink and got the dongle for my nx8. I ended up not using the RF 9.5S because It wont let me make switch assignments to match my switches for my real planes. If I cant use the same switches I use when flying my planes I wont use realflight. I dont want to unlearn my switches.
agree totally there configuration is alright for proportional controls not worth a shiff for switches and buttons, the rx2sim device works well though I run jeti and it works, takes a little setting up but worth it in the long run
I found that too with my NX8. I thought I had not programmed the 9.5S, but you have now answered the problem! Many thanks. Doug
Saw a note from HH that if you purchased 9.5, there will be an option in a few weeks to buy a discount upgrade to Evolution for $70.
I think with 9.5S it was included? We just saw it there when we got ready to install it.
I was a 9 with free upgrade to steam, so outside the window to free Evolution
What models do we get with the 199.00 package. I need the apprentice 15e s,the slow stich and the cub v2.
Sometimes I get so bored flying on the simulator I practice crashing into buildings, cars, or any obstacles I can find. Hitting a particular obstacle is harder than it looks. Haha. I have Apple so I use aerofly RC7. Same thing as far as I can see...all for muscle memory.
LOL - wonderful!!!
Hi Brian, I want to use my nx8 and I don't mind using a usb cord instead of buying the dongle. 1. is that possible? 2. I see $99 versions and $39 versions. I want to make sure to get the right thing.
Merci pour clip
The best thing that ever happened to me. This taught me the basics. Best investment ever .
Hi. Nice tutorial mate. I have installed the simulator today. After installation I didnt get any UPDATE window that prompts me to do an update. That means my simulator is up to date? Below the green PLAY button there a re a bunch of updates, going back to time. latest is V10.10.078 dated 17 november 2023. Dont know my simulators version(purchased a week ago from aerobertics). Should I go for any of the updates below? In case of updates, the latest update includes all data from previous updates or should I go from the very first (that will be a pain in the butt). Thanks
Hello Brian, great explanation on the simulator system thank you. I'm a beginner to the hobby. I lost my trainer plane within 3 minutes in the sky went so high it just disappeared. As you say I need to develop mind muscle first. Especially after losing this over $100.00 plane. So I'm starting out low price and hope to develop to better transmitters and interested on the system. So my question is as one can use their transmitter. Can I hook up my flysky transmitter to the system since it is spectrum?
I don't know that you can. I know that there are multi-protocol adders for those tx'es, then you could use this...
USB Simulator Interface Wireless DSMX Dongle bit.ly/3ztFZK8 | bit.ly/3h9StjB
...but there's surely something easier, but I'm not aware.
When you get ready to dive into this hobby, and go all in, when you get an NX10 ;) you can just use a usb cable between the TX and the PC....but that's a waze off.
$100 planes lead to heartache. I know we cover them, and a lot of guys start here, but here's some beginner ideas....

What is the difference between realflight 9.5s and Evo? Just the way you navigate the menus? I hear from Horizon Hobby it's the same. But I also hear from people who have went from 9.5s to Evo and said they don't like Evo 🤔.
Is the new Beech D 18 on the list?
Will this work on a Laptop and will the DXe ??? If you said in the video sorry I must've missed it lol
Hello Brian,is the A-10 still in there?
I just bought the AeroScout 1.1 with a Spektrum DX S. Is there simulator S/W
available to add to my HP laptop?
I think your best option is to use this...
USB Simulator Interface Wireless DSMX Dongle bit.ly/3ztFZK8 | bit.ly/3h9StjB
OR, when you get an NX10, or whatever level you get, you can use a USB cable to attach the Tx directly to the pc.
Great review of the product to walk thru the hi-lights with this upgrade. That said, really disappointed that Evolution still does not provide native support for RadioMaster TX-16. I know, I know HH owns Spektrum and all that however if they want to appeal to the broader RC community, provide it or at least the ability to easily set up alternate devices people use. Keep up the great work BrianPhillipsRC!
Thanks Brian, but I do think you can use off brand Tx'es...especially if you have the dongle. Doesn't the RadioMaster do DSMX??? Shouldn't you be able to bind up to that WS2000????
The graphics look the same as my RealFlight 3.5. Can anyone tell me what has evolved?
In how many computers can put or play?
Hi from Michigan • Like 👍 •. Can the transmitter in this box be used at the Real RC. Field as a trainer box with a Specktrum Transmitter./ trainer cord ✈️
That is a darned good question. Someone should field test it and report back.
Nice review, is it worth the upgrade from 9.5s? I bought the old 9.5, so will have to pay $70 to go to rf evolution, is it worth the upgrade? Is there a complete aircraft list somewhere? Also, any news of a “real” airliner from eflite soon?? We can only hope 😂
Not at all. The only noticable difference was a new UI, wich is way worse than the old one. And some new planes - wich aren't that great tbh.
No not for $70, HH coud have improved the Graphic's, they Didn't.
Hey all, if you don't like RF or RFE, what would you recommend instead?
That's kinda what I was thinking - FMS is lame, but works if you're broke...but you still need a Tx to get practice, and it's hard to find a compatible controller. I liked Phoenix, but it's been gone forever from what I know....
PicaSim (free) or aerofly RC8/9 are both alternatives. Supposedly if you have a VR headset, aerofly is much better than RF. I just purchased aerofly 8 on Steam, but haven't tried it in VR yet. You can also get an older version of Phoenix working with some effort (search the webs for how). PicaSim is actually decent for free, and does a particularly good job for slope soaring gliders. I like to fire it up a couple times a week just to not get too rusty.
Been running 9.5s. Evolution controls are not the same. Still using my nx8 with dongle. Safe is with flaps, and I got no reverse.
Found the settings screen. Took some trial and error.
Yeah, I hate when they have them on the same switches like that. It can be fixed, and I too did.
Nothing matches up with the tx settings 😕
Can I use the controller Spektrum Interlink DX on aerofly rc10?
I have no idea, but kinda want to know now ;)
What is newer/better EVOLUTION or 9.5.???
Models and Fields predominately. I think it's more for someone who doesn't already have it, if you ask me. I know some would disagree with me on this, but I view RealFlight as a tool, not a game.
I looked at my steam account this morning and Evolution was listed in my library. I downloaded it and it works well. I didn't have to pay for it so it must just be considered an update since I own 9.5s?
YES - same happened to us. It's included for 9.5S as I know more clearly understand.
I can’t find any options any place to put in my sim code I ordered
You enter it in STEAM, as I recall. It's been so long, I can't honestly remember - real sorry about that, and don't want to uninstall, since my kids are always playing with STEAM for this and OTHER stuff.
For good or ill.. I just purchased this thing... (using your link)
Thank you Bill ;)
Hit ALT + Enter/Return to go full screen.
Honestly, I own 9.5S and they want me to pay 75 dollars for 4 or 5 plane models and 2 or 3 new fields? I don't think so. What a horrible price for something that some people in the same situation as me are getting free. Especially since the full price is only 15 dollars more. I'd recommend it if the person doesn't have RealFlight already, but what a waste of money for most of us... thoroughly disappointed in Horizon, Spektrum, and E-Flite as always.
I think you get the upgrade for free... check steam
@@BrianPhillipsRC I did. Steam tells me it is 74.99 for the upgrade or I can buy it for 99.99.
Huge rip off!!!
@@cwwiskyeah I saw that. Not sure how I feel about their company since apparently their controllers are made with potentiometers and had recalls so they break. I saw Steam this game cost $100 and then all of the DLC is about $300. And then they want to charge $50 for a low quality controller. As someone who isn’t into RC flying but likes flight games this feels like a hard sell, but got RC fans they’ll happily buy it. But the company has a bad BBB rating.
It sucks because I played this game at a local library and it’s pretty fun, but it seems like a sad case of another company trying to take advantage of flight sim fans. Flight sim fans get a stiff one with no force feedback in controllers due to patents, and driving game enthusiasts don’t have to pay as much and have a ton more sim options and force feedback, which is why I went down that route instead.
Edited: so do younger people tend to get into drones and us older folk prefer RC?
How do you install this game? By a Code??? Because Steam as you to pay for the application, which you already purchase by buying the controller. Also my computer doesn't have a DVD drive anymore. If by a Code, where do you put the code???
Will this run on a Mac computer? If not directly, has anyone been successful using Boot Camp to install Windows on their Mac?
I believe some have tried and found success with emulators, but I should say "no", since I'm not a Mac guy, and can't say for certain.
Sorry!!!
I am having a horrible time getting the new Evolution to run right. Every time I go to hit ESC or Cancel the simulator crashes. I can fly, but can’t access the menu.
This is not something I'm experiencing. I wish I could help you Fred. Have to tried to uninstall and reinstall it?
@@BrianPhillipsRC yes several times. I even sent a not to Horizon and I have not heard back yet.
Is this the one that supports VR headsets like the Oculus Quest?
It does in fact ;)
i get as far as "Retry" button for transmitter but it comes up to the field with the jet but does not allow me to calibrate. Can't access the menus either. anyone have similar issues? very new lenovo lapton BTW
Try a USB hub...nothing special...any cheap hub and see if it lets you past.
@@BrianPhillipsRCshould have mentioned that i am using the supplied hub as it wouldn't recognize supplied transmitter without. didn't show the retry button without the hub. The menus flash by on the top of the window when loading runway and plane but cant access them with keys
@@BrianPhillipsRC loaded it on son's pc and worked fine (with hub). waiting on Horizon support to see what's needed for my laptop
Can I use it on a 2020 Apple Max computer
It's only for PC...but if you can run an emulator, you may be able to run it.
Very Cool Brian. Hey, We have the exact same keyboard. Red Dragon about 6 yrs. old right. Amazon? Happy Holidays buddy. Skip
We JUST got that keyboard ;) BUT...we're kinda late to the show ;) LOL - Megan and I work together, so this one was a replacement from a more "noisy" choice when we recently added another PC to our fleet to help get Andrew up and running for the business. So far so good, nice keyboard - REAL quite!
@@BrianPhillipsRC Love mine. Been using it for almost 7yrs. Good buy for the price 😉
Can you set up reverse thrust on Habu 70 SS ? Thanks
Yes, on the SS we did do it. Check out that video and you can see ;)
On this one or different. I watched this twice . Did not see . I have set it up on my Habu . But not in real flight . Thanks
If you install through STEAM, can you play on multiple computers?
Sure can!
Can you do vids on the new flite test f14
I bought 9.5 from steam(digital download) and they gave me evolution for free
ME TOO!!! I thought I was crazy from the comments!
@@BrianPhillipsRC I got the free evolution upgrade from Steam also about two weeks ago, but I bought 9.5 upgrade through steam about 2 years ago and it still did it. :)
to many problems trying to get realflight to work and trying to setup a steam account (impossible to do ) which is the only way to get it I am looking for a different product that actually will work
Creating Steam shouldn't be a problem.
Maybe I can help you?
What problems with steam do you have?
Try googling "create a steam account" and then clicking on that same wording in your search results. Might want to first sign into google and suspend ad blocker extensions too as I did. This approach bypassed any Captcha that steam sucks at approving.
Hi Brian can I use the nx10 as a joystick directly to the computer
I didn't realize it, but you can use your NX series Transmitter to fly on REAL FLIGHT!!!
Click into the "Function List"
Scroll Down to "System Setup"
Choose "USB Controller"
Change "Mode:" from "Inhibit" to "Game Controller"
Then plug in a Micro USB to USB A (presumably) to plug into your computer, and you're set!!!
@@BrianPhillipsRC thanks Brian for the update cheers Rick
Good
When will real flight step up their graphics game to something like a HD PC game?
Just got mine. I have a brand new computer. Won't run. All I get is the plane sitting on the runway. No menu, nothing. Sucks
Won't run on a brand new computer with a 12th gen Intel. Spent 1000 bucks to learn , got nothing. Now I have to fight HH for a refund.
Just what I need to reprogram my thumbs....
Real Flight runs fine on *integrated graphics*. It's not a "gaming pc" game. It's not even a console game-game. The environments are static 3D photos with an invisible collision mesh laid over them the only significant number of rendered polygons are the models themselves, so it runs smoothly on off-the-shelf Walmart-grade budget PCs.
Starlink? 💫
How well does Evolution work with Windows 7 if at all?
I have been using various versions of real flight since Generation 2. Not a lot if difference in the programs in all these years. Incremental changes yes, but....This program is still 32 bit, and running a really dated version of direct X. Years behind the last several generations of computers. I understand that Knife Edge is a small company with limited resources. I feel that have done my part in supporting them by upgrading every few years, but.....seriously?
Currently using version 9.5 which works fine. Am VERY disappointing that RF quit supporting the disk version by not continuing to supporting/adding new BNF models, thus Forcing customers to upgrade to the steam version just to gain a few more models.
Just my two cents....
I understand your concern, and our review of this isn't meant to poo-poo RF9.5 - I too agree it's good, but also seems they are wanting quite a bit from those of us who already had previous versions. The good news, there won't be another RF (from what we've been told) only just updates now that can be purchased piece meal or once a quarter...but either way, it'll end up costing about the same as a new copy each year. My take on it is that simulators are more a tool than a list of amazing features. I want good physics, and good enough graphics to be able to see...so for us RF is a good choice. I was using FMS for years, and it was good enough for basic physics, so for us RF is a huge upgrade.
Mirror your computer to your smart TV and image is crystal clear
Looks the same as it did years ago.
The planes and sites and features are different, but yeah, the graphics - could use some touching up if you ask me.
I have 9.5S and I will wait until all glitches and errors are removed from Evolution before I upgrade. So that will be in about 3 months or so. And 70 Dollars/Euro for an upgrade, man that is expensive! I hope the price will go down or there is going to be a sale or whatever to get it cheaper.
Call me crazy, but I seem to have been able to just start using my copy??? What's up with that? I didn't even ever add in my key code?!??!?! I guess I thought we got it with RF9.5S???
@@BrianPhillipsRC that would be nice, a free upgrade. I am not pleading to get it for free or whatever. I know software development can be very costly. I just think about getting it a bit later on. Have to get used to the prices these days. I guess everything is going up in price...
How about do a video on real flight setting dual rates
WILL This work on MacBook Pro?? Year 2020+. ??????
If your mac has a PC emulator, you may be able to run it.
I have used all.. andI say Aerofly is the best (Y)
HH should have Upgraded the Graphic's, for the few that have low end computers, you can adjust the graphic's withing the program. Not worth paying for the upgrade. 9.5 just as good.
This one just has more planes and sites...but don't disagree that you've already got a great sim.
Hi Brian & camera crew winters here!! My question is can you hook real flight evolution to a 55inch flat screen TV thanks Brian your friend Marty from Canada 🇨🇦 🛩 🛩
I think there's a way to do it on most pc's, but for us, I'd have to test it out with our Chromecast, or Amazon Firestick. We also have HDMI ports which we could use to run the PC to the TV, but that's pretty impractical for us here in our application.
@@BrianPhillipsRC thanks Brian your friend Marty from Canada 🇨🇦 🛩 🛩
I connected my laptop to my 80" TV and the flight simulator works fine. You stand in front of that TV and it's almost like flying live.
@@gregoryosen9423 thank you very much Gregory 😊 yfmfc 🇨🇦🛩🛩
Do you think it's worth the $70 upgrade from 9.5S? I wouldn't be eligible for the free upgrade based on HH information on their page. Also, if you have a USB charger for your radio (like the NX10) you can use that to interface with your computer.
I figured you could just use the usb cord. Now, what is the difference between RF trainer edition $39 and Evo $99?
I didn't realize it until an amazing commenter brought it to my attention tonight, but you can use your NX series Transmitter to fly on REAL FLIGHT, and all you need is a USB Micro USB to USB A to plug into your computer!!!
Click scroll bar into the "Function List"
Select "System Setup"
select "USB Controller"
Change "Mode:" from "Inhibit" to "Game Controller"
Don't forget to change "Mode:" back from "Game Controller" to "Inhibit" when you're done.
Thanks again ctvxl !
Why can't they design the simulator to allow the user to assign three different dual rates and expo to a three way swtich, as in the case of a spektrum transmitter. That's what I need, not a bunch of new planes and airports.
If you're using an NX8 or similar, you just set EXPO as ususal in your simulator profile, and you've got it now ;)
Unfortunately RF is based on ancient technology, and they just keep regurgitating the same product under a new number with a hefty upgrade price. They really need to do something new. I was hoping that RF:E was "it", but it's still the same old thing with new menus, which many argue aren't any better.
I think it's what it is - a good tool for practicing and having a fun time, but I can't say you're wrong...
Just a heads up for all of you thinking of buying the Real Flight Evolution or already own it. If you get one or have one but later decide to sell it, you can't. Once it's activated, ownership is locked onto you and can't be transferred. I wanted to sell mine but this is what Horizon Hobby customer service told me.
Same as steam. I have 160 games but I have never been able to sell them.
That's just how it is and understandable.
@@Wings_of_foam
Video games are different because it requires a computer you already own and is cheaper than the RF Evolution.
You don't like a Steam game and you're out $40.00.
You're tired of the RF Evolution and you're out $200.00 because ownership is non transferable.
This is what should have been made aware to consumers.
@@Wings_of_foam
From what I read, if you purchase games from Steam and later want to sell them, you can left click that game, then click "manage" then click "transfer" then enter new ID
I don't know why they don't put the e flight ultimate 3d on there smh
Sorry Tory, I don't know either
