- Legendary bike painter Russ Pickett was thinning the herd, so Paul had a chance to scoop up a Boulder full suspension bike and a Faggin road bike he once owned as a frame but never got to build up and ride…and it’s got Mavic Zap shifting!
Yes that mag 20 does have the original rs1 crown on it, adding to the awesome look! Yum.

Faggin bikes were made by a small family operation in Italy, and imported by Torelli imports. I can,t remember the owners name. I sold a few of them including a few of their track frames in Colorado Springs. A good solid reasonably priced Italian frame. Paint looked good but not very durable
A few years ago I bought a Cannondale from E-bay that came with Mavic Mechtronic rear electric shifting. Shifts real well. Zap was the predecessor.
This stuff seems to shift pretty decent too considering it's age!
So that is actually a mag 20 fork on that Boulder, I love the modified arch brace with the shaved cable hanger. That must be a really early Boulder Gazelle or Defiant? Noticing the brake mounting down on the chain stays, rather than the seat stays. I love it, if it ever goes up for sale send some smoke signals over this way!
I didn't see you in Philly but did get to chat it up with Lindsey and (Hollywood) Patrick. Saving up for some more Klampers so keep on keepin' on.

Mavic is apparently back in the drivetrain game. They just announced a new ebike motor a couple weeks ago. Though, I am sorry to use the "e" word here.
