JOM this is amazing. I’m an 80’s cyclist, having loved and ridden numerous beauties from Reynolds 753, 853 along with Columbus SLX mounts. These vintage delicacies are sweet! Steel is definitely real. In any event. The shop’s mission considering that these days due to the pandemic, Local Bike Shops are extremely limited in product selections and can’t get full bike supplies still, and small parts, another story. This place, more than likely just might have what you’re looking for. I’ll bet many people don’t even think of TPC. Well done again Matey. Thank you.
Love the Pro's closet and been buying bikes from them since they started in 2006. Just got in a super nice Sworks Epic from the Closet this week! Thank you for making this video as this company deserves good publicity!
Around 14:13 you’ll see that trek blue/sliver/red. It’s a trek fuel 100 from 2001. Bought it from someone moving out of country. He upgraded the brakes, shifters and crankset to xtr and added Easton seat post and monkey bars with Thompson stem. All in all the bike back during its time would have been over $4,500 with all the parts. Glad I saw this as I was thinking of selling it. It’s a classic collectors bike.
Awesome video really enjoyed that! These folks have literally exploded in size. I remember when they started on Ebay & have bought a few things over the years. Will keep a closer eye on them now! Thanks
I sometimes window shop TPC, so many different bikes to check out on one site and museum is a neat side attraction. Interesting to see how they streamlined the process of moving bikes through.
Thank you! The museum is amazing, there were so many bikes I did not show, or were out of camera range from my perspective. The sheer size of the facility is impressive.
On September 11th, 2022 I purchased a 2022 Pinarello Prince Di2 disc. I purchased from Pro's Closet because of their reputation, to say the least I will not that again. Nor will I recommend it to anyone, I was under the impression that all the bikes they get in are gone through completely. I was made aware of a few scratches on the frame and I was good with that, however the bottom of the bottom bracket, the inside of the fork and the inside of the chain stays/seat stays were filthy. When I removed the battery door on the bottom of the BB it actually had mud in it. When I removed the crankset to replace it with a dual power meter set I found the frame side of the crankset filthy with dirt and grease and the BB bearing shell was also covered with dirt and grease. With the crankset out the inner shell of the BB was gritty with dirt. This was obviously never taken apart to be serviced or inspected. I then sent an email to 'Pro's' Closet: "On September 11th I ordered a 2022 Pinarello Prince for over $5500 from you folks. I am very upset about the condition it came in. I bought a bike from PC because of your reputation. I do not want to return the bike so don't concern yourself with that. I was under the impression that you tear down the bikes you sell to a point and go through them. This was not the case with this bike. Please see the attached pictures for reference. I pulled the cranks out and found a lot of dirt at the BB. I saw dirt on the BB frame bottom, removed the battery door and found mud in it. The rear derailleur was covered in light dirt/dust. This is prompting me to look closer at other areas of the bike since these obvious areas were not serviced. What I have found when I removed the wheels was the inside upper of the fork and the chain stay were also covered in dirt/dust. I don't know what I expect of PC besides me telling you I will not be recommending you or purchasing another bike/gear from PC.". Their response was: "Thanks for reaching back out to us here at TPC! All of our bikes do go through a cleaning and inspection process. I'm sorry that we missed the mark with your bike. To cover the time spent cleaning the bike, I'd like to offer you a $100 reimbursement. I'll get your information over to our accounts payable team today. That reimbursement will be issued to you within the next 1-3 business days. If there is anything else that I can assist you with please do not hesitate to ask.". All I could say was WOW. So you be the judge.
That is my candy store. I am in the process of sending two bikes to Pros Closet. I sent them pictures of three bikes and they accepted two of the bikes and declined on the third bike. I am taking the cash option and taking the two bikes to my local bike shop for packing and shipping. The offers on the two bikes were fair. I tried to work with another local bike shop (a Pros Closet partner) on the trade up option but they did not have the bike I wanted in stock.
YES! I'm currently riding a pair of Vredestein Fortezza's about 15yo that I had sitting in my closet in my apartment. No dry rot and feel wonderful with a high TPI and flexible high PSI capable carcass.@@GravelCyclist
LOVED the museum!!! Makes me want to use Proscloset to sell (as if one one of my dinosaurs could possibly become a treasure!!)

That mobile workstand is super cool.
What a amazing place, thanks Jom.
Picked up a 2018 Giant TCX Advanced SX from Pro's Closet a few months ago... just a great deal.
I’m lucky to live about 20mins away from these guys, need to get over there and check out the museum. Will probably be where I buy my next bike.
Pro Closet rocks ! I bought rare bmc frame and condition was like new. GLAD !

oh god, that's heaven for a bike mechanic
I just bought a 3t strada from these guys. Super clean bike. Look like no one ever rode it
Yeah these guys are awesome. If didn’t have enough bikes I would certainly buy from them. Many of my friends here in Colorado bought bikes from them
Fantastic and interesting video. Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
Got quarter of the way through before I realised this bloke’s an Aussie.
Excellent tour. Cheers

TPC is amazing. I've sold many bikes to them and they've always been incredible to work with with great prices!
Nice vid! Bought a wheelset from them and they were in great shape for a really good price.

Great tour of the classic bikes!

Nice tour. Like the vintage bikes. Known about the company for a few years. Like their business model though their prices are high in my opinion.

Is that a Fuso against the wall at 1:38?

Nice tour! How do they keep the tires on their museum bikes from rotting?
I imagine the air conditioned, low humidity environment helps immensely. That has been my experience with my own stash of tyres.

They sell refurbished bikes at almost full price. Better to buy new
The GameStop of bikes!
This comment reminds me I am stoked I sold my GameStop shares high, after buying very low :)
@@GravelCyclist wonderful news! This comment reminds me when I sold Doge really high when I bought it for pennies.
@@andrewd7860 Nice! I never dabbled in that type of currency, but nice one getting in and out with a profit :)
Hope to get my first trail bike from here, not saying anything about the one i want, in fear of someone on here buying it.. hahaha
Very wise!
How do they check for cracks? If I was them I'd have some sort of X-Ray machine or something.
Robert's your father's brother lol
Hawt!
Roberts your fathers brother, do people say that?
Australians in the know, do. But, it helps if you are familiar with the original vernacular.
@@GravelCyclist I know the bobs your uncle saying, but never heard that one before...great vid
@@St1ff Thanks! This saying is one of the more obscure and less used. We well-aged Aussies are generally the only people who use it.
