I work in the restaurant at ikea germany, its really cool to see how other Ikeas around the world differ in setup and food selection! thank you a lot for this video!
Yeah but you have to keep in mind that in other countries there may not be so many persons in need of vegan options. I also come from germany and was impressed by the variety of food they offer in Thai Ikea. Even if they are not so many vegan options I think its clear to see how the menu defines itself from the regional prefrences of the people:) Well and this is just assuming but I think in germany we have a lot of people eating alternatives to animal products. And even then… that vegan pork belly looked soo good
It’s really interesting to see what Ikea food in other countries has in offer instead of the usual signature meatballs, I know some people would normally say that as their first thing in their mind when they think of IKEA food ;)
Here's one of my fav recipes for the chocolate cake. Also known as Kladdkaka here in Sweden Swedish sticky chocolate cake, 8 pieces 200 g butter 270g caster sugar 60g cocoa powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 3 eggs 90g all purpose flour How to: 1. Set the oven to 175 degrees Celsius or 350 Fahrenheit. Fasten a baking sheet paper to the bottom of a cake tin about 20 cm or 8 inches in diameter, grease the edges with butter and "flour" with cocoa. 2. Melt the butter in a large saucepan. 3. Stir in sugar, cocoa and salt, then stir in one egg at a time. 4. Finish by stirring in the flour and mixing to a smooth batter. 5. Fill the tin and bake in the middle of the oven for about 18-20 minutes. The cake should not bake all the way through. 6. Let cool completely in the fridge, that way you get the perfect stickiness. 7. Dust the cake with icing sugar and serve withe whipped cream.
@@NadiaSeesItcan someone not be excited about a delicious chocolate cake? no matter what age we shouldn’t put down excitement. i think it was quite cute and even made me happy!
It's good to see what IKEA sells in other countries just to see the differencs. I think Ms. Bacon's reaction to the chocolate cake made her really happy 😊 Good stuff 👍
Nancy cannot say this, but I will: food at IKEA in America is nothing like food at Asian IKEA stores. American IKEA food is very limited, not much variety, quality is just so-so.
I live 45 km from the original/first Ikea in Älmhult SWEDEN. :) I look forward to see what Ikea had to offer i Thailand. :) Same trolley, "Hej" is Swedish for "hello. Same kind of queue. Same mug, same glass. The food portions are much larger than those in Sweden. Moreover, in Sweden the food costs more than twice as much. The word "fika" is a Swedish word, not to find in any other language. It means, sit down, take a coffee and some cake a mong friends. Cheese plate, it's not pepperoni, it's salami, Most of the food is'nt available in Sweden, snacks is local. The gooey choklate cake is called "kladdkaka", we have them at Ikea in Sweden too. Sooooo good. :) The soft icecream machine is same in Sweden.
I love Mrs Bacon reactions the chocolate cake reaction was the best one plus I love watching people who truly enjoy the food they are trying to and tell people the good and the not so good food they have tried I was blessed the day I stumbled on to this channel always makes me smile watching their videos ❤❤❤
I live in the United States and am about an hour and a half drive from the IKEA in Atlanta. I love having lunch at IKEA when I go shopping there. The food is always good and it gives me a chance to try some Swedish foods I wouldn't have otherwise had the chance to try. I also love watching your channel!
The horse symbolize Valley horse from Dalarna, the middle part of Sweden. Its wellknowned, with red color on the body and white painting on the back. Ofcourse the horses can be painted on diffrent colors depending on occations and meaning. The Ikea in Thailand looks exactly the same as in Sweden. Also the desert you guys ate is call sticky choclate cake and should be eating with cream for maximum taste. Great job and thank you for the video 😀
wow! that ikea food that you reviewed was actually really interesting! and the video was engaging as I watched it. such an interesting meal from ikea thailand!

Oh, I loved this video! As an IKEA land dweller (I'm Swedish), seeing how different the meals look like compared to what I'm used to is such a fun experience
As an American, I really appreciate the polite culture of your part of the world. It’s so refreshing to see people just having a nice quiet meal without 1000 voices talking at the same time. Super jealous of those smoothies
Wow really great video, it is crazy yesterday I went to Ikea Mexico and is very difference the food here from the one you guys have amazing video like always tanks of sharing :)
You had me at 3 trays of food! 💃🥓 Love these videos! They're so much fun. Love the 7-11 videos too. Have always loved both and the cruise videos. Thanks for making everyone HUNGRY yet again lol. You also inspired me to make my Hawaii FOOD Channel too. (I just uploaded a few food videos) I dont have as many subscribers as you, so I'm trying to work harder and harder to earn those subscribers. But the process is enjoyable and my only regret at the moment is I wish I had more time to make more videos. (Still work a 40 hr week and got littles to take care of). Love and Aloha from Hawaii!
I've said this on other videos, and I'll say it again. Your wife's expression when she really likes something makes me happy. I feel the same way when I really like what I'm eating. 😊😊😊
Thanks for showing us this. The closest IKEA is over 3 hours away so I've never been. It was fun seeing some of the food offerings even though most wouldn't be available here anyway.
I just told my husband yesterday that I want to go to Ikea next week for some new bed sheets and some swedish meatballs, and here you are going to Ikea yourselves! Did you buy new bedsheets? Such great quality.
We really enjoyed this video! Mrs Bacon's reactions make us come back each time :) When we go to our local IKEA in Edinburgh, Scotland we love to have the Daim cake - do they offer that in Thailand/other countries too?
I love your videos anyways, but this one was special to me. Very interesting to see what IKEA offers to eat over there, thousands of kilometres away. Looked much better then what we get at IKEA over here in Germany, and on top it was way cheaper. To me IKEA food means Köttbullar at first, their meatballs which feel like they were made of rubber. And for dessert those rolls of milk chocolate drops.🥴 ... your IKEA food looked yummy !
I have no idea that IKEA has an amazing eatery before. It is not a very common place in Thailand but after I saw this video I have to try this!😋 Thanks for this video.
I think he does that but in a subtle way, if you have seen he says the food is not his type. Maybe he doesn’t criticises more because he just wants to enjoy food without drama. Also loved your comment ❤
„Now let’s find a table“ in Thailand: lots of empty tables. Same in Hamburg: all tables full with people drinking just the free coffee. Once you get a table, your food is cold.
I can't describe the feeling of seeing something so familiar yet so different. I wish the Ikeas in my area were like that. Maybe they've changed since I've gone, its been awhile.

I've not been in a big ikea for years its strange to me to see how self service it is there, I wonder if its the same here, the main ikea I know is a small one with touchscreen order machines and then you pick it up when its ready at the counter in disposable boxes like a takaway.
Wow, the menu is diverse and the prices are affordable.... As expected, since it is a foreign country, everything is definitely different. As a Korean who has never experienced such things, I feel envious.
The chocolate dessert had the best reaction, must have been good! ☺ Didn't expect to see if chicken shaped horse! Some interesting meals you found there 😯👌
wow! looks good i miss when the ikea near me did candy by weight, now they just have prepackaged stuff and less options. wonder if the second closest one still has it but probably not
Their softdrink fountains doesnt have ice machine which is not very nice as ice is universally expected at any softdrink stand in the country. The soda themselves dont come out particularly cold either. Also they expect you to hand in your own trays after eating but they were nasty in not providing staffs to wipe up the table for.the next person. I think this have somewhat improved a bit though.
they have a whole cafeteria, didn't notice it when i visited several months ago or is it a recent addition the food looks nice, simple in a good way and must not be too expensive
Its quite amazing how clean it is everywhere there, don't ever come to the US and eat at a buffet, or any restaurant where line cook serve ya. There is always food slopped and dried hard everywhere, very nasty and ppl are rude! Plus the price of everything is like 4x what you paid.

I heard Germany is the country with the most IKEA stores
Yes, Germany has the most, followed by the US, France, the UK and Italy.
The Ikea in California has garbage food.
It’s really interesting to see what Ikea food in other countries has in offer instead of the usual signature meatballs, I know some people would normally say that as their first thing in their mind when they think of IKEA food ;)
But the thing is, they DO have meatballs in Ikea Thailand, they simply didn't order it..
