How much was his bank loan application? What did he want the money for? How much was the random? I'm curious and why do people that plot these murders NEVER grasp the consequences or in this case the poor message placement he had already killed his hostage b4 hearing that police were called?
From what i heard them mention was that he was turned down for a $25,000 business loan
How did they know about the call she got, since it was secret, and she didn't live to tell it?
That’s true. How was this known.
Probably it was in “the plan”
Phone records.. also the criminal must have given details of the crime
She might have told a friend or some other of her familymembers?
@@graciamaria9218 it was. I paused the screen and read it. One of the first lines mentions the fake ceremony
Oh, Pahleez! That hard drive was a fingerprint.
Amazing investigation
This is pure evil..
I think the journalist who went to the store and notified Copenhefer of the kidnapping should be charged with Obstruction of Justice.
Do you realize that if he hadn't done that, the woman's husband would be dead????
Also, you obviously don't understand that he didn't commit a crime. He heard something, he talked about it to a guy....a guy that he had NO IDEA was the murderer. It's not a crime to talk, and it literally saved the guys life.
@@Julia-nl3gq he heard it over a scanner!! He's a fuckin journalist he should have known to keep his mouth shut!!! They'd be the first screaming freedom of press yet won't respect freedom of the police!!! FOH 🙄🤡
Damn Fool: The Journalist… A Big Mouth Trouble Maker!!!
@@Julia-nl3gq Lol. The journalist did not save the husband's life. The husband already had local police and the FBI with him. There was no chance he was going to die.
I mean I watched several episodes like this where someone was held for ransom. I don't ever remember watching a ransom hostage episode where the hostage survives. I don't think she was alive after the first day.
FF has the best soundtrack!
Just proves that going to church doesn't mean someone's a good person.
Policeman is so observant
And never even gave his name.
He was not convicted to life in prison; he was sentenced for execution.
What kind of sociopath plans to kill but then right down the evidence of the plan itself
It would be kinda cool to do though
A stupid one?
the people standing behind you at church could be evil murderers.
What a super cool Caddy... Red outside and in.
that journalist probably inadvertently spooked the murderer into killing her quicker
20 MB hard disk in early 1990s now it’s 20 TB increase of 1 million times
Clearly some people just aren't cut out for murder,
How could he be that stupid thinking he'd get away with that well thought out plan ?
Can't believe his wife was dumb enough to meet some stranger for a phone call.
Your statement is called victim blaming. She is dead. Who r U 2 say something so insulting?????
That was in 1988, I would call her naive, because scamming and other criminal activity wasn’t nearly as bad as it is today, but the old saying still holds true, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is, she walked right into the waiting trap of a man, who I fully believe was already a murderer, they just couldn’t come up with enough evidence to convict him in that other case.
Growing up in Albany Ga I always wondered why our law enforcement don't have more stake outs to stop criminals.
Nice fellow! Nowadays, one cannot obtain a 20 GB hard drive.
That poor woman. What a monster. Glad he will rot in prison
I love this show, they teach you how not to get caught
These shows teach me to behave myself because cameras are everywhere and forensics . There is almost no chance of getting away with a serious crime. People who commit crimes need to watch these shows TO THE END!
@@Misses-Hippy well, they teach a lot on techniques, dont bore or take the public for simple-minded
Saverio I know what u mean, but if u dont want to be caught dont do crime. God is watching and he sends like in this episode a cop right to the window of the murderer. What these episodes teach me is crime doesn't pay and ruins lives. That is satans work. God wants you to live and think right, not how u can get away with wrong stuff.
Not gonna lie, people who think like you are why crimes still are committed despite this show. This show teaches me that no matter how smart someone is, you’re likely not gonna think of all the microscopic aspects to escape being caught- getting away with murder is really just luck.
It’s a shame that “the god“ you claim is watching cannot protect the innocent or stop the criminals. Sad.
FYI - the killer died in prison of natural causes at the age of 65.
Upstanding Presbyterian.
I love at the first where their at church and the minister is playing that organ. ✝ 🎶 Believe it or not I've been thinking about actually going back to church. ✝ I think it would give me something to do and I've always loved Jesus. ✝ I'm still lying around on my foam mattress. Love and light from Gore, Oklahoma.💛
@Diamond Leigh I'm not a little weird. The symbols are from the upload.💛
To treat others and be treated as a brother is a good thing. As positive praying, always gives profits. Come back this weekend, i need to do it too
@@maramarxx2431 yes. We are all brothers and sisters. We should be nice to everyone and everything. Prayer is like a telephone to God. It's also a very good habit to have.🖤
What kind of church? Presbiterian?
@@kaerligheden to a church of latter day Saints. And a Pentacostal church. ✝
That Presbyterian who became a murderer is certainly not on his way to heaven!
He was a reckless killer for a bookstore owner
18:40 Leave it to a journalist to screw up pretty much anything.
Not a five pointed star, it's called an asterisk
He wasn't reading the books in his book store to help improve his English lol
It’s so hard to imagine how an otherwise rational, law abiding person could just up and murder someone. Really scary to think this guy could kill good people who did nothing and couldn’t have seen it coming.
Well,One of two local inmates on Pennsylvania's death row is dead. David Copenhefer, 65, died Sunday of natural causes at the state prison in Greene County.
Since we were seeking the death penalty, and we believed that he deserved death," said Daneri. "The fact that he's now dead, I don't know if to call it 'fitting,' but it certainly meets with what we believed was a just punishment for him. So he's met his maker now."
why are so many vids not available ??? more than half of them
The melody of the song they sing in the church in the beginning is the melody of the German anthem lol
The reporter saved Harry's life by foiling the killers plans
Most criminals are stupid and make mistakes
Anyone else notice the German National Anthem hymn in Church at the beginning? :) They just changed the words.
I knew that sounded familiar
