I'm surprised Kebi has eased up a bit & is letting Kayembi play with Kunda. Usually she's over protective. Kayembi is such a good big brother to Kunda & Jameela. He's always so loving & gentle which is a true testament to Freddie's mothering. Freddie is a great Mom & teaches Kayembi how to be gentle, loving & protective plus Mokolo is great with the little ones too. This is a really loving family group who's great to watch!
You can tell Mokolo loves being a Dad. Truly a huge difference between the jungle Gorilla versus the Gorilla who lives in a zoological conservation sanctuary. The relaxation to be a Dad and interact and romp with your kids.Thank you Larry for your time and sharing the troop of Mokolo family with world.
To see Mokolo beside Kunda really puts into perspective just how massive he really is! This is probably the first time he’s been allowed this close to his daughter.

At last! Kayembe gets to play with his sister, who adores him! It was cute how he looked over his shoulder to gauge Kebi’s reaction to him running with her daughter! Kay gives such good hugs! Kebi refereed their play very well.
I felt like Kebi wasn't as quick to intervene because Mokolo had checked out the situation and was supervising from a distance. The family dynamics seem to be changing fairly quickly these days. The only thing I'm sure of, is that this group will continue to surprise all of us.
These videos are so amazing! This gorilla family is so relatable and it's easy to see they are our close relatives. Kayembe is adorable!! He reminds me of a 3 year old, haha! I can't wait for them to have their new enclosure done. Thanks again for documenting this, I think it's important that we do this.

What a beautiful video of the great interaction between Kayembe and Kunda Larry! Even Kebi has enough confidence not to intervene. Kayembe behaves fantastically, a real big brother. Not a moment too wild or rough. Kunda on his back or belly, Kayembe shows her 'all corners of the room', a literally 'docile' Kebi behind him but it never gets out of hand 👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻. I think Kayembe is much calmer these days because the girls also look for him themselves and he is no longer constantly chased by the mothers. He is gaining more confidence and behaves accordingly. Beautiful to see. Finally more playtime together for Kayembe 🙏🏻 our little future silverback. And Mokolo sticks his nose in Kunda's wad on the fire hose. You can hardly see where her arms or legs are exactly. She wisely remains completely still because Mokolo has a very big mouth 😅 Thanks Larry for the 'serene' images today 🙏🏻🦍🐒❣️

I was so distracted by the swinging kunda I missed the interaction with Mokolo/Kunda and had to rewind. That was so precious. Kebi wasn’t bothered by it and didn’t rush over, so that’s good. Kayembe/Kunda duo is absolutely adorable. Him kissing her little cheek ❤. Thanks Larry! Loved it. If I can ask you what month is best to visit the zoo, preferably less crowds.

Kebi’s is realizing that Kunda’s a ball of energy like her sibling Kayembe, I think Kebi’s enjoy the slower pace of I’ll just watch from here. Kayembe in his training to play easy with his sister one of the steps is the little one’s get to decide it’s time to stop. Kunda was full force going at Kay and the look on Kebi’s face and she final dropped her hard nd when she knew it Kunda wasn’t ready to stop. So cute and JMaale and Freddy were already down ready to nap until Freddy ufeltNneka was bedding a little to close to Jameela. Larry you know this well but Freddy, Kebi and Maybe Milo are asllways vigilant even if you think their not paying attention. No way was Freddy going to let Baby Jam and herself take a deep name to close to any adult and only her baby Kayembe would be trusted enough. That was great content of two sibling’s that are so much alike and the older Kunda gets everyday she’s more like Kay. Did you guys see Larry I know you’ll know if this is correct or not, thank. I found some info that was adorable plus it’s about Kebi’s grandson Kamoli, his daughter Kwame and it’s of course Kebi’s great granddaughter as well at the Colobus Zoo, he had his birthday and I think both him and JJ (it’s a bachelor troop) now that they’re recently back from Zoo Atlanta where the two young Blackback’s were staying until their full exhibit enclosure was completed. Kwame is a miracle baby since they thought Sully was a male (no actual primatologist had examined her yet) and then Kamoli had a little fling with one of the Silverback’s MAC (I think he leads the troop Sully and Kwame are part of) wife’s. The Silverback accepted her as his own and of course loves little Kwame. Please forgive all grammatical errors my (MS).has been problems, my bad eyesight iua horrible but my cognitive issue’s have been the worse along with other side effects. NO PIRY PLEASE. I’m grateful for my doctor’s with good treatment for my (MS along with advancements in both treatments and medications. I’m truly blessed to have my amazing husband of 29 years, our wonderful grown children with their spouse we actually adore and our precious beautiful grandchildren. It would be selfish if I asked for anything more. I just want to apologize in advance for my comment which aren’t coherent and but I hope they’re still somewhat understandable.
