What would you change about the NBA structure-wise to increase viewers?
joe mazzulla choosing miami would be a generational moment.
Not fair to the Kings in your hypothetical. If they earn the 6 seed, why should they be punished by playing the top seed?
Because they aren't a top seed?? Lol
@@MrKeysjimmy so lower seeds mean nothing and only the higher seeds do? If any lower seeded team can be picked by the top seed and have to play them, what's the point of lower seeds struggling for positioning?
@@jacobarmstrong9994well the point is for them to make the playoffs lol (obviously). I’m not totally sold on this concept but it intrigues me. I’m all for any changes that motivates teams to actually play and not throw in the towel. And if you’re so concerned about Sac being treated unfairly, how about the 1 seed who worked so hard to get it but has to play one of the best teams in the conference first round? The whole point of getting the 1 seed is getting the worst team first round, but injuries cause it to sometimes not work out that way. I’m not super against leveling things out a bit.
If the league wants to try this idea, they should try it in the IST and or the play in first to see how things go
Gotta say I'm not the biggest fan of the shades
Makes him look douchey
People forgetting Playoff embiid is a real thing? No one’s scared of him in the first round
I think this is a good idea, it would be more fun and create harsh rivalries. Also as a Sixers fan, I'm not looking forward to Boston on the road round 1, that went badly in 2020
Sounds like too much power given to teams. I’d say no.
The more i think about it, the more I like this idea. So I would have 1,2,3 get to pick from 8,7,6,5. 4th gets remaining team.
That means people would really fight for 1,2,3 and at the least fight for 4th to play a lower rank team. So top 4 get some sort of varying advantage.
Your 5th,6th,4th fighting to move into 4th for advantage.
Your 8,7,6,5 are fighting to get out of play in.
Your 12-10 fighting for play in.
1-4 would also get home court advantage
Spice things up, this will create beef as well. maybe experiment on this for 5 years and lets see
Nick with another category 2 prediction about the Buffalo Bills.... LOL
no it will make good teams just more careless no point to be 1 seed because no one will pick them
I get where Nick is coming from, but doesnt it potentially punish the 6th seed for being better than the 8th seed?
8th seed has to fight in playing, so there is benefit to 6th seed
*play in
@@MrKeysjimmy yes, but you're missing the actual point. Shouldn't the 4th seed have an advantage over the 6th seed?
@jonnyharding3646 so I would have 4th seed not have the advantage of 1,2,3 by getting to choose. But their advantage for being 4th is they get to play the remaining lower seed. So 1,2,3 pick from 8,7,6,5. 4th plays the remaining team.
@@jonnyharding3646 4th seed would still have home court
The higher seeds already get they advantage of having home court. We don’t need to let them pick the weakest opponent to play as well. This take is such a bad idea. The reason that Boston might have to play the 76ers is not because of tanking. It’s because of something that happened naturally which happens to be injury. It’s part of the game. The ideas of making it easier for better teams and for players that can’t get over the hump like Tatum or harden. Or the take I heard from cowherd the other day was to shorten the series so the older teams ( lakers, suns, golden state) would have a better chance at making it further in the playoffs is such a joke. Let’s make the competition easier or give an easier path. Such a joke.
Not a bad take honesly
I’m sorry nick, but this sounds horrible for the sport. Still love the show .
Why do you think it sounds bad? I’m actually curious.
@@saintsnick94because the kings who earned the six seed would have to play the one seed nuggets or thunder potentially which is not fair.
