All of you are such lovely people. In the spirit of telling Petr “good job” once a day, here are some heartfelt compliments for each of you, from a longtime D&D player. (No spoilers either) Cam - this setting is glorious. You seem to have taken a small handful of metaphors and blown them up large. It’s self-consistent as literature, and also quite entrancing for the listener. A great balance of intricate and simple, 10/10. Cori - thanks for picking a slightly unusual race/class combo! It always gives characters that little something extra when you have to step back and wonder, “when and how did they find this line of work?” It’s pretty awesome. Hella’s been awesome. Serge - Sword is so affecting! I just wanna cuddle him. In the beginning, you played him as so worried that he’d been evil before that it got in my heart and made me concerned for Sword. Also it’s entirely convincing and wholesome for you to be playing a paladin. ‘Cause you’re wholesome. :) Great followup to Molander, without being the same at all. Ian - you have a real talent for playing the weirdest character in a group. That might sound negative, but I PROMISE it’s not. Every party needs its spot of crazy colors, and Boleznena definitely has that spice. Plus he was surprisingly great at wailing on some zombies! Adam - Petr’s intensity is a really important counterpoint to the rest of this group. I doubt most people would blindly accept a blanket of amnesia, so it was refreshing and realistic that Petr never did that. His attempts to navigate the world have been both entertaining and relatable. Good job Petr!
Also, it's a little bit extremely irritating that I can tell what class everyone else is playing except for Adam. Like he's got Charisma, cool? What are you, a sorcerer?
I already really liked Petr as a character, but this episode gave me a reason to love him SPOILERS: I thought he was either a warlock/sorcerer from episode one, but for him to not only be a sorcerer (my favorite class), but a wild magic sorcerer is the best thing i could have hoped for. I love wild magic sorcerers more than any other class or subclass, even though it is potentially deadly for the party, they are just so flavorful and interesting, they really capture the feel of the raw, untamed power sorcerers have. Thank you Adam for picking this subclass. It makes me feel so good to know other people like the weirdness that the wild magic sorcerer brings to the table. Also welcome to the ranks of those who will inevitably blow up their party at some point!
If I had to guess, they're just using the PHB without any additional sources which mean Petr could only be one of two sub-classes, which with Cam's introduction to his powers he's wild magic which is going to be fun. For those unfamiliar with wild magic it's a D100 table that causes random effects ranging from really good to really bad and also just WTF. Odds are Petr's background involves him going to learn magic under a wizard but while he has the gift he doesn't have the talent to control it.
I'm loving how much sass Adam is adding to this campaign! Also: If you followed as close behind the light as you safely could, then continued all night (perhaps with a short rest), then continued the next day, you would hit the other end of the path while still ahead of the light by anywhere from a short amount of time to many hours ahead, depending on the exact length of the path. For a second it looked like Ian was about to figure that out, but the moment passed.
As much as I like this series, I'd prefer the audio be a bit louder. Even with everything at 100%, it doesn't reach the volume I need from my background audio to listen in while doing other things. :(
I use headphones and Adam gets so loud compared to everyone else when he is excited and with sensory issues it's hard to listen to, to the point where this might be the first dice friends I skip. He needs a limit on his mic/needs to keep it down because he is at a much louder volume than everyone else quite a lot of the time.
Cam is very lenient with camping conditions, with noise, cold and lack of proper food I'd have made everyone roll a d4 and each spellcaster roll 2 d4, then made everyone not recover 1d4 hp and spellcasters not recover 1/2 1d4 spells rounded down.
I approve of this... though I’ll also note that different D&D games have different levels of emphasis on survival skills. Dark Sun, for example, is obsessed with counting this sort of thing, to the point that a “survival day” counts as actual treasure. The Underdark is another area that taxes adventurers to their absolute limits. This setting seems sort of intermediate. There’s a baseline of realism, but since the adventure’s focus is more about philosophy than harshness, I’d say Cam’s DMing choices are entirely sensible.

Sword just telling Petr he doesn't know about horses when Petr tries to lie about it is the best.
I'm listening to Cam's introduction to this episode while playing Dark Souls on my Switch, and the parallels are suddenly quite obvious.
I will pay money for this campaign setting.
The Sun is a Deadly Laser /Bill Wurtz voice
Not anymore, there's a Blanket.
I would very much like this as published Campaign Setting.
Also this megastructure is somewhat clearly inspired by The Ringed City in Dark Souls 3.
Sidenote: every single piece of this design is My Jam.
I cackled so goddamn hard at Cam doing echoes for Adam shouting XD
An episode of Dice Friends for my birthday? How'd you know what I wanted? 😁
And I would love to see Featherweight's art of what this place looks like.
Take a shot everytime Adam says "JESUS!"
this series catchphrase: "I don't know!"
The counterweight/emergency staircase duality moment is absolutely brilliant

serg face as you cut . . . hahahahahahha

“I can’t teach him.”
I was dead wrong about the class, I was sure he was the bard and Ian was the arcane caster of the group

Unless of course the trip would take two whole days of travel which some of what Cameron said would seem to imply.
Though I also considered that reading of it.
I love Petr and Sword conversing together. Especially near the end there.
Can't wait to see Adam's fighting fantasy Dice Friends next week.
So sword is a paladin, hella is a rogue, and petr is a wild magic sorcerer. Still wondering what boleznena's class is
Bard I think
@@martinsegur7173 Most likely. That was BARDIC INSPIRATION he used on Sword.
Funny how they found an EXP farm.

Seconded
Stair Simulator 3.
Didn't realize until now that the channel banner is still the JoJo's reference. Do they still have the playmat, and if so where can I get it?

Is it just me or does petrs charachter modle look like a scooby doo villain (yes I know I spelled charachter wrong.)
I wonder if it’s a mistake that petr is at lvl1 when everyone else is at lvl2
During the livestream, Adam said after the session that he chose not to lvl up because he believed his character didn't learn much last session.
Did I miss something? Why is Adam level 1?
(after the session) Adam said he decided to stay lvl 1 because he didn't think his character learned much last session.
@@Winterpandacookies Thank you!

I wish Cam would stop dropping his voice mid-sentence. He's always so interesting to listen to when I can hear him, but it's a struggle to hear him.
Yeah, maybe someone could get on captioning this properly? Can't turn the volume all the way up because Adam
