After everything, I want them to be happy, but I can't see them together. Holy shit especially after all the post-trilogy stuff that went down, her presence is just nonexistent. I want Iris to find her own footing in life, away from the regrets and memories of Dahlia. Going back to Nick won't fix that. Sometimes things go horribly wrong, and there's just too much history there, so you make peace and move past it, try to live free. I want Iris to be more than just phoenix's secret college girlfriend.

One of my main headcanons is that after she got out of jail she and Phoenix actually become good friends, and this animation just warmed my heart. Oh my I love Iris so much and I loved this as well
Iris looks so happy for them!!! And the red string going from when they were little kids to them meeting up again, and the disbarment era, and I love that bit because it has so much detail in it. And Edgeworth being the one to initiate because Nick is completely oblivious to it fits so well in this, because yes nick is a bisexual disaster child, with the color choice basically being a full portrait blush for both of them. IT really puts the contrast with the fact that the rest of the work is in full color and wow I am also living for mia being amused at phoenix crushing on edgeworth, it was obvious, he probably showed her his newspaper clippings, and the fastforward bit was also very good, because how else do you utilize that scratching, and the red lighting with Godot is high key so good, I also saw the "Im just a boy" in the subtitles, you sneak, dont think you can pass things by us Oh she has an iris in her hair thats so cute and pretty And Im gonna go watch this about a dozen more times to find all the other little things you put in this

I've never seen anything like this before and wow never knew I needed this so much. Iris is a really good character that is sadly burdened by the influence of Dahlia and the actions of her past. I love how she accepts that Phoenix has a new relationship and is happy for him. She looks so cute and happy at the end. I also adore the way you draw Miles he is adorable

I’ve just finished playing the Trilogy, and I can finally watch this spoiler free. At first I was wondering what Iris’ revelation would mean for Phoenix, but after watching this I firmly believe she would be 100% supportive of him and Edgeworth. She just wants Phoenix to be happy after the horrors her sister put her through. She’d probably even be pushing them together from behind the scenes.

This vid is just. So tragic but so heartwarming! It introduced me to the song as well, now I constantly think of a bunch of different characters with the song. This is one of the only animatics I’ve found for this song though? Anyway. Love it love it love it. The bits with Godot and Mia in the middle… And that ending shot! Just perfect.
