Impactante!!!
I don't understand all the shit said about Mr Bonnet. He's one of the most unique and versatile vocalist out there and the vocals on this song are fucking brilliant! Amazing delivery from the whole band and Richie as always rocks
Ritchie Blackmore is undoubtedly a musical genius and all his Rainbow days he was surrounded by very talented musicians (all at his appointment). Why did they come and go ? - Ritchie(and maybe the fans) would say it kept things fresh. He was a moody bastard who would only accept things on his terms and looking back on the last 5 decades you have to admire him for that although Ronnie, Graham.Joe, and a billion fans may disagree. Each Rainbow vocalist was unique and produced legendary albums that will surely still be there when the Earth has dried up, humanity has perished and Blackmore's Stargazer solo at Donington 1980 will be remembered as not just a fucking awesome performance but as a way of life! If you think i'm talking bollocks, press your red buttons now! Here endeth the lesson - we shall now sing hymn no.471.............Morning Has Been Broken Into.
I love Graham's work with Rainbow, and I was SUPER against the non-RJD albums for a long time. There are 4-5 amazing cuts on "Down to Earth", most notably "Love's No Friend".
I think he was good live in like '79-'80, but god, have you heard him within the last 20 years? It's abysmal. He sounds way worse than David Coverdale, Brian Johnson, etc. I would rather listen to Ozzy's modern day voice than Bonnet's. Oof.
@@kevinmahoney5618 I saw Graham at the Camden Underworld, probably in 3 years ago and I thought Graham sung well. Like most singers he has had to drop the Keys, but really Graham ‘put out’ that night.

High noon, oh I'd sell my soul for waterNine years worth of breakin' my backThere's no sun in the shadow of the wizardSee how he glides, why he's lighter than air?Oh I see his face! Where is your star?Is it far, is it far, is it far? When do we leave?I believe, yes, I believe In the heat and the rainWith whips and chainsTo see him flySo many dieWe build a tower of stoneWith our flesh and boneJust to see him flyBut don't know whyNow where do we go? Hot wind, moving fast across the desertWe feel that our time has arrivedThe world spins, while we put his dream togetherA tower of stone to take him straight to the skyOh I see his face! Where is your star?Is it far, is it far, is it far? When do we leave?Hey, I believe, I believe In the heat and the rainWith whips and chainsJust to see him flyToo many dieWe build a tower of stoneWith our flesh and boneTo see him flyBut we don't know whyOoh, now where do we go All eyes see the figure of the wizardAs he climbs to the top of the worldNo sound, as he falls instead of risingTime standing still, then there's blood on the sandOh I see his face! Where was your star? Was it far, was it farWhen did we leave? We believed, we believed, we believed In heat and rainWith the whips and chainsTo see him flySo many diedWe built a tower of stoneWith our flesh and boneTo see him fly But whyIn all the rainWith all the chainsDid so many dieJust to see him fly Look at my flesh and boneNow, look, look, look, look,Look at his tower of stoneI see a rainbow risingLook there, on the horizonAnd I'm coming home, I'm coming home, I'm coming home Time is standing stillHe gave back my willOoh ooh ooh oohGoing homeI'm going home My eyes are bleedingAnd my heart is leaving hereBut it's not homeBut it's not homeOoh Take me backHe gave me back my willOoh ooh ooh ooh Going homeI'm going home My eyes are bleedingAnd my heart is leaving hereBut it's not homeBut it's not homeOoh Take me back, take me backBack to my home ooh, ooh, ooh
Dio wrote it but his line-up and live version kicks ass the most. Blackmore's playing is better and it's got more attitude and Bonnet delivers. Two big voices but this version is heavier.
Great guitar solo on this version

Solid Performance By Bonnet !!!

Beautiful version 😎
This is the first I've heard Bonnet do this song. He's great on it.
I like it very much too! I think it's underrated. Stargazer and Catch the Rainbow are Bonnet's best Dio songs by FAR
hdrainbowlive - Bonnet was a great singer. I wish he had stayed longer in the band.
It was great to have been there!
Graham Bonnet did a particularly good job on this song. I liked it.
I Agree !!!
And I was there!
Whatever you think about who is singing it’s all about Mr Blackmore and this is the best recording of an amazing guitar solo!
On his day no one touched Ritchie, miss him playing what he knows he does best.
I remember playing this album back in my teens until it ran out
The days when Ritchies guitar screamed, love it
One of the greatest guitar solo's ever?
Melhor versão que já vi
Fantastic drumming from the great Cozy Powell
Amazing solo by Ritchie! I would hope that steve, yngwie and satch and others would listen and learn from the Maestro !!!
MY favorite SONG !

I think he´s good in the studio but live, I don´t like him.

@David Topchiev I find it has a couple of filler tracks

Best live version, beautiful oriental solo.
I was there 😎
Did you have a wazz when there?
The solo is epic.
Graham's voice is great here too.
Rainbow is the world best hard rock band in Europe & the world.
Una pinche obra maestra!
My favourite version! Bonnet was great in Rainbow!
Muy buena versión rainbow lo maximo
Impressive. Bonnet definitely holds his own during this classic.

Great version
Oh yeah
Ritchie es único...máster !!
I worked that gig with Riot.
Ritchie Blackmore is the world best hard rock master Lead Guitarist in Europe & the world.
Raindow forever
When you listen Dio's Stargazer live, then you realize how good is Bonnet.
Good version
God
Oh Shit he just did what he does best ,fuckin brilliant it was too.
Blackmore guitar almost betting belief in middle section / give me Dio anytime / bonnet forgets lyrics
BEST VERSION OF STARGAZER EVER!!!!
Great version. Better than Dio. Don’t think so. Long live rock and roll. 🤘👊🤘
Dio wrote it but his line-up and live version kicks ass the most. Blackmore's playing is better and it's got more attitude and Bonnet delivers. Two big voices but this version is heavier.
100% AGREE !!!
This is more like it! Not the current line up
Graham Bonnet, Ritche Blackmore, Don Airey, Roger Glover, Cozy Powell
This is my Rainbow. The first one is Down to earth and it is great without Dio its better than long live rock and roll.
Mine too.
Bonnet is a good singer but this is a Dio´s song.
like a kashmir as ledzeppelin songs
Mejor que Live In Munich ?
mejor esta versión con graham bonnet !!!
razorfist brought me here and hes wrong, bonnets pretty good, but dio is better
Raindow forever
