Hi Josh, what type/brand of paint should i use on existing fascia to match new colorbond "deep ocean" gutters ?

I would use Dulux Weathershield Semi-gloss matched to Deep Ocean

I wonder it the corrosion around the screws is because they used stainless and you have two dissimilar metals contacting each other

What if paint has primer already added? I want to paint colourbond fence.

@simsim5919 as long as the colorbond is aged and lost its sheen, you should be right to go straight over

Hi Josh, do you work in Nelson Bay? We have a 22 year old Colorbond house. Most of the roofing screws have rust on them. We also have a cantilevered deck where the steel beams have surface rust and should be fixed soon. Is there anything you can do?

hi i am going to do my patio i have got all the rust of. the rest of the patio is fine rust free theres no rust should i prime it before then after. or is there a paint that is a mix of paint and primer.

Hi John, I usually prime just to make sure but you could probably go straight over with your top coats. A self priming exterior paint like Dulux weathershield. Hope this helps mate 👍

i went to Bunnings they said no need for primer. I primed only the small area of bare metal with primer in spray paint can. 90% of my Colorbond has no rust at all. That's the reason not to prime she said at Bunnings as other pain on Colorbond is fine.

Hi mate, existing colorbond just gets a clean and light sand with a 240 grit sanding pad. Then a light etch prime & two top costs 👍

You recon you save any time using the tins instead of just touching them out with a brush. 4lt of that primer goes a long way with a brush.

Hi Michael. I would never recommend using a brush for anything that has a factory finish you want to achieve the same finish the factory gives and this system you achieve that all by spray. a lot faster and more efficient💯
