I have to say, this is one of the most interesting Northern Soul tunes I have ever heard. I love the way she sings around the beat, like a feather in the wind...it's evocative.

Arguably the greatest of all NS songs, the singer is so special. I still don’t get how a song of this calibre didn’t storm mainstream charts massively, it literally floors me (no pun intended) every single time.

same here...everytime i hear it im like what did they not do, what happened to keep this burner from changing more peoples lives back in the 60s. so very well written of a song and from what i've researched a one-off for the song writer as most other tracks he wrote werent as impactful (imo). hope rita got some shine somewhere along the line from knowing how bada$$ she rocks it on this now legendary song!!
