Warthunder is legitimately just chess everyone is a rook or bishop if your teammates cover you and pin down enemies you are safe, I legitimately think of warthunder as chess somtimes

I’m the mentally insane player who flanks in a heavy tank and somehow makes it work. Idk what that says about me, but it brings me joy to sneak up on someone in a WW2 heavy that weighs 60+ tons

I'm recall some heavy tank can have decently fast speed. Even from my experience Tiger H1 can reach 40ish kph which isn't a lot but really fast for a 55 tons of unreliable box

@Personontheinternet4598 well now that's just an opinion each role is important on the battlefield, if there were to many snipers no objectives would be captured if to many recon teams you would inevitably over extend and quickly be flanked. You need a mix of all tipes to make a well and cohesive team. Can't win wars on luck alone.

as i spade all the vehicles i own i did bomb in bombers, but never in ground attackers (air spawn is OP)
last bomber i played was the PBY-5A premium in the French tech tree (i collect the French premium planes, don't ask a man the reason of his obsession) and i got so tired of bombing i started dogfighting people with it (and got a 1.8 KD lmfao)

I am the “fight everything I see” because I would rather fight and lose than be useless. Even if I take just a few people down to a lower altitude and clip one with a 20mm I consider it a success. More often than not though, the awareness switch flicks on in my brain and I all of a sudden figure out how to fly my plane like an ace pilot

A tank that have,a lot of armour, a good cannon, but a slow mobility, but also more durable.
Or a ammunition with traks ( or wheels) with a good cannon , but you are killed by a .50

@@marcosrogeriomahadodasilva823 have you ever heard of a medium tank? and of those two choices i choose the one with mobility. going slow is the 9th circle of hell. id trade armor for size and mobility any day. i think the best way to change your mind on this would be to have you play the ush-405. it can be penned by a .50 cal but it has an absolutely overpowered cannon(rocket Launcher) and insane mobility

im a dogfighter for everything i see, 13K hours of war thunder and some people still teach me new things

The Mark IX Spitfire will always hold a special place in my heart. I absolutely adore it. I've come out alive of many 2v1s or 3v1s thanks to the incredible turn time and the Hispanos of Death.
In my experience the only things that can top a Spitfire are the Zeros and the f*cking Yak 3 😤
As someone who got a free talisman for the Chi-Ha LG, sniping became kinda my favorite thing on the right maps.
For me it's variable in Air Battles..
- AAB: probably untouched since 2020..?
- ARB: Adaptive dogfighter, from Banzai to rate battles? Count me in.
- ASB: either one of two choices:
Base bomber, Enemy AI Banger, and Zone Capturer for PvE situation or..
Go all in or nothing for Dogfights in PvP situation.

There is 2 different play styles 1-do hardcore and go insane 2- pay every cent you have and get the blessing of snail

Base bombers: People who are willing to do mindless busywork to grind a game that's supposed to be fun to play.
Well its not fun if enemy have latest top of the line missile while I'm stuck with trashy missile until I get the missile

At one point, I was 10.3 getting shot by AIM-7 missiles from across the map. I'd rather stick to bombing to grind
@@ellisdee5304 at that point all radar missiles could be defeated by kissing the trees (the height limit for what's called "multi-path" has now been lowered), those were easier times

there is nothing funnier than AIM-9B'ing an A-10 or Magic 1'ing an F-15 in a stock Mirage III and Mirage 2000
plus it gets you to use your guns and learn to dodge missiles instead of flinging Phoenixes and RTB like a flight sim wannabe

as an Italian main who basically only option is sniping besides no armor, patience almost never pays off. Or at least doesn't pay enough, you sit there get maybe 2-3 kills then get revenge bombed because you can't move while waiting on someone or You'll miss them
I've been playing this game since 2013 and yeah I'm the dogfight everything no matter what I'm in even a bomber. At this point I'm just bored most of the time and a dogfight is always fun lol. I will say though when I was starting this game I did a lot of bombing, back then I was in college and I had to use a trackpad a lot of the time so it was the only option. I quite enjoyed it :)
One thing that I'll say though is I only have one dogfight in my entire memory of playing war thunder that I truly remember. That was when I was studying fighter maneuvers and suddenly I understood how to use my plane to its advantages and how to counter the plane I was fighting. It was like a whole new world was opened up to me.
The dogfight I remember most was when a Zero on the enemy team who had I wanna say 5 kills, tried to pull up on me in my B-34. I saw him come in, pulled around as hard as I could while my gunners dealt with him. He took a couple hits and backed off, so I lined him up with the lead indicator and let ‘er rip. He went down harder than a lagging F-16

Fighting like a dog is my play style, it feels good when you over come a superior fighter or plane after a dog fight.

One of my favorite sniping tanks is the ARL. At its BR a well-placed shot will shred through any armor. And with its high velocity the weak points are super easy to hit

I love taking on dogfights, I don't destroy every base cus its boring to fly all the way to it, and everyone is gonna aim at you. So taking on dogfights is way better. In my opinion

I have an interesting tactic in air battles. I take enough bombs to get 2 bases, fly like a low altitude bomber so I can live long enough to hit the target, and then start fighting players now that I have less weight and the objective is technically completed. It works surprisingly well and I’ve gotten about 12,000 Rp from this, sometimes 16,000.

I like playing tanks aggressively it almost never works but when it does man is it amazing
Sometimes you get intercepted in a heavy bomber. And sometimes the fighters aren't ready for an aggressive bomber to start a dogfight with them.

Sniping is by far my best play style because, I’m really good at it. (And it doesn’t make me go insane)
With 3k hours of experience. Don't be a "sniper" after 4.0 it doesn't matter you're gonna be spotted and die.
The worst thing possible is when you are at the airfield in air Simulator and some random dude drops about 100 tons of bombs above the airfield

as someone who has been playing since the game came out I am safely in the veteran who dogfights everything camp. my personal best is going 5v1 in my Ki-43 in air rb and coming out of the fight with 5 kills and still flying, I was also the last player left alive in the match as well so I got the last man standing achievement.

I became a speedy tank lover once I started playing the OF-40s. But I like all of these play styles. I switch around how I play a lot lol. Depends on my mood, but I agree with all of them
war thunder would be more fun if they removed air vehicles from ground battles
AA player that spawn Type 81 AA truck at the start of the match to clap any Helicopter trying to do funny business, followed by planes sometimes later
I started playing in 2016 when air RB was practically the only/main game mode people played, so yeah I’m the dogfighter because I’ll win 5 dogfights before I win one ground engagement

i have alot of playstyles, but i usually either do the biggest flank in the most impractical vehicle ever and get like 6 kills before dying, or i rush the middle in a city map and destroy everyone nearby
also i love playing spaa/fighter as i get 6 air kills regularly💀🔥

I dogfight at low tier (I prefer it to higher tiers) and will take most fights but I know what aircraft I know outclass me, I recognise energy and speed advantages and from there, choose to fight, engage and run, or attempt to ignore. These and other factors like if your enemy has allies close by that can help them is what differs experienced players from newer players. (I say experienced and not Pro because I am not amazing at the game and yet have been playing for a long time)
Claiming that fast tank enjoyers are good at the game takes some steal balls
As a base bomber, that is 100 percent accurate
In props I dogfight everyone I see (brain go zoom), in jets, I just wait for all the Phantoms to lose their entire loadout before deciding to go up and machine gun them (missiles require no skill)

I only play sniper mode cause like it’s like real. My armour ain’t doin nothing. The very first barrier of protection in tank combat is to not get spotted, after that, stayin cover and don’t get hit come. Initially I played the game aggressively, died, rage quit and came back to play with more camping, slow paced, cover to cover, being mindful of surrounding and finally keep lots of distance between me and others and use hit and run tactics. That’s why I use meds mostly.
I am a German main that is decently observant, who rushes points without a second thought, blindly throwing myself at the enemy with no plan other than shoot whatever I see
My playstyle is going insane blasting the war songs of the country I play😂
