This Truck surprise me so much! From high speed trailing speed (brisk pedestrian pace) to super low crawling speed so low you "count any knobby on the tire" ! I upgraded with metal beadlocks and 1.0 RC4WD Mud Slingers ,put battery on the left rock slider now its near unstoppabel! Next i reverse the rear axel for opposite drive the rear and put some SCX 24 Gladiator Links on the rear.I seal the ESC and reciever with "Wet Protect" fluid film for RC cars now i can even crawl under water! I got several Hobby Plus Trucks like Harvester EVO,Rock Van and Mog but this Truck is way more cappabel with the fantastic working brushless outrunner! This Truck is a "secret Tipp" for me.
That transmission has a very WPL sound. Lol Beautiful body, and performs pretty good. Great deal considering i spent 100 bucks on an Ascent18 and then another 100 bucks on a few metal upgrades. So this one is actually a deal i think.
Can we all just take a moment and ask WTF Castle Creations has been doing all these years with their esc's acting essentially as amplifiers when driving outrunner motors. They supported these motors before anyone else in the crawler world, yet never bothered to build a half-decent esc that could run these motors without turning them into dental drills. I owned a Bully II twin motor on axle crawler with two CC SW4 esc's. Running two Holmes Hobbies V3 Revolvers, you could literally hear this thing for miles running on 4S. A horrific build, and a stress-filled experience. I've now got two Rhino esc's to rebuild the thing, and a Furitek Python X for comparison going into an LCG build. And Castle Creations... still nothing.
I have a lot of issues with Furitek products. I had tons of issues with my Rampart monster truck. The thing was undrivable out of the box. You had to modify and tweak the hole truck just to drive it. The drive shafts would pop out because they were to short and the front hubs would fly completely off every single time it was driven. Seems to be a reoccurring theme with their products. I've also had the Furitek Kraken esc and motor for my mini b and it literally lasted 2 laps before the motor blew smoke and stopped working for absolutely no reason. Also their momentum esc for my 1/28 scale never keeps the Bluetooth settings saved and the app is constantly crashing. I am done buying Furitek products.
No bearings no sale . It's just my personal opinion but I will not buy anything in this day and age that has bushings in it. There's no excuse or place for bushings in modern RC's. It's to bad to as it looks like a nick truck .
Some people turn they're trucks into submarines, bushings will deal better with it... I'm with you on this one, I doubt many people will put this little thing on much water. Bushings do add a lot of friction in this tiny drive trains...
@@just.jose.youtube bushings tend to add a lot of wear on various shafts so now you're not just replacing the bushings . You now have to replace the shafts to keep the tolerances right. I got an RC in the late 1980s and honestly bushings should just be a thing of the past
I'm not trying to change your mind, but I heard Tamiya still does bushings because some people keep them as static models, and it keeps the kits affordable. I'm bearings all the way too though. Such a massive difference 👍
Hate the new video format. Get rid of the chapter cards! The commentary during the run sounded extremely AI generated, either use full thoughts or skip the commentary altogether! I like this rig, seems rather capable!
This truck is ass. The electronics suck. motor cuts out all the time. Acts like FWD-Brake-REV is on when it’s not. Literally incapable of really anything. I got a HP base T-Hunter for $65, and It’s much more capable somehow. Injora ESC and a nice brushed motor yeuld better results.

there are always compromises so explaining the hard cons is important to the pro's, this was a good vid.
I had this exact same body on my very first 1/10 crawler. An RGT 86100, I believe.

The green one is 50% off right now! $99!
Was torn on this or the enduro se to go along with my dad's UTB18. Ended up going with the enduro but this katana looks incredible! The FOC is sweet!
That angry grill alone would keep.me from buying it

Nobody makes a mini me for my 4runner 😢. I have the not popular pre face-lift 5th gen which I like.
Element Rc has one, Trailrunner 24
Kyosho does or did
@backyardscaler that's the newer front end though. I don't think they have my exact style unfortunately 😕.
I dig it!
Nice body for a Jeep clone and in general truck looks to run real sweet shame about the drive shaft i guess there are aftermarket metal ones to fit
Whats top speed on these Crawlers?
What is that second shaft coming out of the transmission for? My Furytek has it
You can somehow switch the drive shaft to counter torque twist
Reminds me of FMS
Where’s the maxx slash review, Greg??
It's just a bigger slash man, probably a piece of shit like all the other slashes. 😂

Bushings are perfect for crawlers. They work great and won't wear out in the extreme elements.
@@laserbeam1620dude wants to argue about it tho like a clown
Doesn’t seem budget when it’s the most expensive crawler in its class…
Why in the world are they using bushings in a rig that awesome! Just makes no sense.
uff

Budget? I guess you don't say who's budget 😊
There $199 on Furitek USA
The link doesn't take you directly to the vehicle that your review is about why?
Fixed it, no clue why it did that.

Trendy angry Jeep grille?
C’mon Furytek ! 🫥
